  • Are you interested in buying your own farmland here in the Philippines? Do you want to engage into farming as a business, or to have a place of your own that's full of trees and fresh air, and do organic farming for your family?
    I know you are excited! But please watch this video first before investing in a farm so you can learn the 7 hidden costs in investing in a farm and avoid the mistakes I made.
    **ABOUT THIS CHANNEL**
    After working for a multi-national corporation for 7 years, I wanted to be my own boss and have more time with my family. So back in 2007, I took the leap and become a full-time entrepreneur. Since then, I've enjoyed the roller coaster life of being an entrepreneur and helped many aspiring entrepreneurs start their own business as well.
    Now, in my quest to further simplify our life, I'm taking a leap again... But this time around, from an entrepreneur to a farmer! So join me in this journey as I escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy a simpler life, a life in our farm.... our safe haven, the iNest!

    3. Tubig…sinabi ko na solar pumps and ingenuity….
    In gist hidden naman yan hidden cost, naging magastos lang sayo kse dinadala mo naman ang suidad sa nayon e….kung pupunta ka sa nauon, mabuhay kang taga nayon, di yung nasa nayon ka pero gusto mo nasa suidad ka sa comforts….it requires thought indeed….

      Yung 50k po ba na solar water pump, kasama na lahat or yung pump lang? Last time I checked po kasi, pump lang sya and yung solar.
      Sa ibig sabihin, hindi pa dun kasama yung labor for drilling 300 ft underground. Also, kailangan rin sa amin ng 15 pcs na 4 inches na tubo and 15 pcs na 1.5” na tubo. Sa tubo pa lang po na ginamit sa amin, 100k na.

    • @jerrysnotes8
      @jerrysnotes8  Год назад

      Pero maybe sa ibang lugar mas mura kasi hindi ganun kalalim yung hukay dahil mababaw ang water level.
      But nonetheless, paconfirm po kung all-in na yung 50k na solar pump kasi nag inquire rin po ako nyan before ako nagpagawa and sabi sa akin, motor lang yung quote nila, which is more or less same price ng electric na submersible pump.

      magkaiba naman ang off grid living sa resthouse pero pareho magandang idea ng pamumuhay. kung may milyones lang ako, I prefer off grid living yun tipong magluluto ka gamit ang mga sinibak na kahoy, source of water mo ay ang stream, tapos natural breeze...sarap mamuhay ng simple! stress free sa utility bills 😊

    My sister has a 2 hectare farm in Batangas. Instead of using a jack pump or submersible pump, she opted for a wind driven pump so her water supply no longer needed electricity. So when I also have my own farm, I will have to ask my brother in law to help me fabricate and install the wind power equipment for the pump.

    I agree on all of the seven costs you listed which we also experienced (but no fence yet). Unfortunately, I have 1 more big expense in our farm, legal fees, for a dispute with my neighboring land, Yep, this was hidden and the kind of expense you don't want in your farm. Lesson learned for me, so hopefully, I'll make a similar video to share my experience 🙁

    Thank you brother for sharing your experiences. Because of your vlog I was enlightened on the unforeseen expenses that I would encounter. It used to be that I consider the productive plants inside, the view, terrain, access road quality and distance to town proper. I also considered the source of water for my fisheries project. Things I overlooked are the power source and fencing.
    Again, thank you!!

    Of course you buy a farm with a purpose, most cases for business with r.o.i..if the purchase is only intended for a rest house or retirement house then it doesnt need to be a regular farm size property running by the hectare, around 300-400 sqmts will do the job.

  • @louieadam251
    @louieadam251 Год назад +1

    Kung di for profit ang gusto mo lang recreation farm. Bumile ka na lang 1000sq m. At magtanim ng yun vegetable kahit sa subdivision pwede gawin yun. At least available lahat tubig, koryente. Huag ng magpauso epek at pagaya gaya epek kahit may pera kang ibibile kung di mo naman hilig magtanim. Yes indeed mahal ang maginvest ng farm. Tapos wala pang title,rights lang jos ko day baka kung sino sino na ang may ari na pasa pasa lang at papel ang kasulatan. Kung may title at may pera sige bilhin siguraduhin mong marami kang pera. Eh kung kunti lang iinvest mo nalang sa paupahan naapartment at least may income kaagad kahit patay ka na di mo pa nababawi yun return of investment mo at least pwede ipamana sa anak. Sa farm maghihire ka pa ng tauhan magtabas ng damo, magtanim ng puno o gulay. Jos mio gastos yan eh kung rich ka di sige buy ng farm. Kung hindi business ang gagawin sa farm huag ng bumile. Magtanim na lang sa paso.
    Buti na lang di ako bumile. Just imagine wala ako space sa bahay ko sa paligid lang ng bakod ko ako nagtanim mixture of ornamental plants, veggies and fruit seeds. Namunga ang kamatis, talong okra. Eh.meron expiration pala ang plants na eto pagkatapos mamunga, natutuyo at namamatay na. Lahat fruit seeds ko tumubo at wala pang three years namunga ang lemon ko. Mga sili ko namunga, siguro in 5 yrs mamumunga ang rambutan, lansones at avocado ko sa gilid lang mga bakod ko tinubo. So kailanga ko pa ba ng farm?

    Ibig sabihin kapag i dagdag pa natin ang inflation at taxes sa pag develop at pag acquire ng farm need tayo ng around 5 milyon pesos roughly, di pa la ganon kadali mag farm at ang saklap pa dito pag may produkto na tayong maibenta halos hihingiin nalang ang presyo sa sobrang baba at kagaya ng seboyas bombay price from farmer 15 pesos per kilo tapos ang bentahan sa merkado umabot ng 800 pesos per kilo kaya yong ibang farmer nagbigti nalang sa sobrang lungkot. kawawa mga farmer sa pinas lalo na yong mga maliliit lang yong tipong mahirap na farmer kasi may iba naman na mayamang farmer. sana may batas para sa lahat ng farmer para may protection sila against middleman pagdating sa bentahan ng mga produkto nila.

    You could have consider an off grid solar system instead of investing in concrete electrical post and wires

      Based po on the experiences of my friends, the off grid solar system will not work for us since we have 2 hp submersible pump plus several water heaters and high voltage appliances like ovens.
      However, solar is something that I’m always interested in so I’ll continue to watch the developments in this area.

    I watched your whole video and i think it's INVESTMENT not Hidden Cost...😊
    Pagtabas ng damo gagastusan mo? Seryoso ka? Maghanap ka ng nag-aalaga ng Kambing o Baka. Manghiram ka ng 20-30 for 2-3 days, sigurado ubos yan, pantay pa tabas. Magastos ginagawa mo...😂

    Regarding electricity,why not make use of Solar System which i think is very much cheaper

    • @jerrysnotes8
      @jerrysnotes8  Год назад

      I think pwede naman po. It’s something I would like to try next time.
      Based on feedback po kasi na nakuha ko, the battery now ng solar is hindi pa ganun tumatagal so hindi pa worth it yung investment.
      I think mas sulit kung walang battery for now kaso that means na kailangan pa rin magpakabit ng magandang electricity.
      Kung baka, supplement lang si solar and hindi pa sya total replacement for good electricity.
