  • It's been a few months since I've made an update on this project, thank you to everyone who has reached out to see how things are going.
In this video, I give an update on the truck, glue down the rear roof sheets, and begin installing the rainwater collection system.
Thank you all for watching and supporting me during this project.
    Dan

Coming along nicely. Been following you, and I am aware how small things like collecting water system becoming very important part of the project. I am almost there to start my similar project and learnt a lot. Thanks for for the videos and good luck with the rest of your work.

How about a guide in the middle at the peak for the peak to slide through and give a stiffening support to stop the wobble

    Hi Dan
Your solution combining the two component door panels is brilliant
    Well Done!
I hope that you can incorporate insect protection as well

i am so amazed b your work. I have seen some expedition trucks made by big companies (worth €500.000 up to a million). but what you are doing alone is just great! and so well thought trough! can't wait to see the final result.

Brilliant projects and amaizing warehouse!! I live on a small island, so that size building is just not possible here. Sorry you had a personal issue but so glad you got past it and back to making. I have really enjoyed watching your videos. Thank you for sharing.

Good to see you back making videos Dan. We all have times in our lives when, for whatever reason, motivation takes a nose dive! Glad you got your mojo back.👍
Question I have, will you introduce a physical lock to the rising roof? I would be really worried a fault or failure could activate the actuators while you were in there sleeping! I'm thinking about maybe solenoid bolts to hold the roof open that require a seperate button push to unlock from open?

Thanks Paul, Im not sure about a locking system yet. It shouldn't need one but we'll see what happens there

Just curious. You only can open the door if you have to raise the roof first?
