I had the same experience 2 calls in the same month. Only for the Explorer 36mm. The first call I missed and they sold the watch by the time I got back to the AD. Then 2 weeks later another AD located 3 blocks from my home plus no prior purchase history. Called me for my Explorer. I was told it was the first Explorer they received. I can tell you are on cloud 9. Congrats on both your watches. I’m happy for me and happy for you! Cheers from Chicago
It is funny that the AD call can come at unexpected times. I had given up on getting an explorer and bought a santos instead. I forgot to tell my AD that and exactly a week later was told they had a 36mm explorer with my name on it. Now I have two incredible watches and a much lower bank balance

I landed one a few weeks back after exchanging emails with an AD I have never bought from. However, I was very clear on why I wanted it. I made an appointment and met with him, talked for a bit, then he went to the back and brought out the Explorer. I was shocked, but it meant so much to me that he chose me to take it home. It's a great watch and mine has tremendous sentimental value. Cheers.

I put my name down on one last week but I got the impression that that piece of paper just gets buried in a drawer somewhere. The saleswoman was also really snooty and didn't even know that the 36mm had previously been discontinued.
I got a call December 27th for a green OP 41. I waited a year and a half with no signs it was coming then it came out of the blue. I honestly think ADs wanted to give my watch to someone else but it fell through and they wanted to move product before the end of the year to meet target goals. Who cares why it happens all I have to say is congrats !!!
AD texted me Rolex explorer gold two tone $11150 and Rolex submariner no date $8950 both is available. Which one do you guys is good buy? Or good for investment future?

I have the 2021 Batman. I am thinking of trading for the new 36mm I can't own both at once (money) - What do you think about that since owning both of them? If you had to keep one and sell the other, what would you do?
Maybe late but depends on your daily activities and the comfort you are looking for. Batman more sporty and casual. Explorer more comfy and refined and not noticeable. Hope this helps.
@@Rodolfoguerra12 I did sell the Batman and buy the Explorer. I don't regret it at all. However, I do list after the Pepsi often. But the Batman was such a nice watch for so many occasions. I've just really enjoyed the 124270 because I just don't take it off.... pretty much ever.

i might be late, but when u ordering it, did you call the AD first or went straight to the AD for those?
I called this particular AD to request the explorer. I got super lucky because I did not have prior purchase history with them.
went to the AD today to pick up my Explorer II and Hulk. Took around 2 weeks from getting onto the 'waiting list'.
