The last thing that I would like to add is that the Canadian women won the gold medal in soccer at the last Olympics, There was this tremendous rush of belief that it would change Women's soccer in this country but there has been no follow up commitment in a professional league or stadiums here in Canada. I hate to say it and I believe it is very sad, but there is little interest from governments to promote and sustain women's sports.

Rugby is THE sport that will change the world, not only on the field, but most importantly off.
It is a sport that has principles, morals, community obligations, standards of behaviour, and expectations of yourself.
These guidelines that I've seen instilled into great teams and players, is what draws the fans to their favourite team and player.
The changes to the perception of women's rugby globally, is massive after this world cup..
The confidence and belief that this WRWC has just infused into every young girl, and women, worldwide, is humungous, and this is an awesome video to watch, and seeing it from your point of view.
Loved watching this, you did an awesome job with stepping off of the Sky Tower. 👍💜

It started with youth girls hockey groups like the world renown Assabet Valley League(aka “Chicks with Sticks”) and college level competition. Same with Women’s soccer(football). It’s gonna happen. We need more women like her, Rapino and others to bring this sport forward!

I would also like to add that even here in Canada there is no rush to make Canada a fully professional squad with full time funding. That leaves just France, England and the Black Ferns as fully professional teams. If this doesn't change it will result in the World Cup title being contested amongst those three teams for the foreseeable future.

I would love to say that this is going to put women's rugby on the map and push things forward, but I am not sure that it will. For some strange reason there is always a reluctance to embrace women's sports on the international level. While there was great attendance for the Black Ferns games, the attendance was quite sparse when other teams played. Even before the Black Ferns played in the final, the bronze medal game at Eden Park was only 25 percent filled. Canada played most of it's pool games in largely empty stadiums.

I'm new to the sport of Rugby and enjoyed the tournament, but I am confused by some of the rules. A tackle on a NZ player Portia Woodman resulted in a England player being sent off. But a identical tackle on Abby Dow a English player resulted in a yellow card. I did search the internet for a answer, and I found a referee called Nigel Owen's and he said that the New Zealand player should have been sent off. So why wasn't she ? Also I know the TMO is called the fourth official, but there appeared to be two official's in the TMO's box, one wearing a shirt with New Zealand logo's on it. Is it normal to have fifth official from the home side acting as a official, thank you.

They won the WC because England had a player sent off. England were running riot and would have had the game wrapped up by half time but for the sending off. NZ did not stand a chance until then. Facts prove it. 15 players each on the pitch England 14-0 after 15 minutes. With 14 players they still could have won it at the end. What nonsense, for several reasons.
      1. The red card was nobody's fault but England's.
      2. The player taken out was the highest try scorer of the tournament, and there was every sign she was going to score at some point.
      3. New Zealand teams concede points early in the game practically every time they play. It's part of the strategy.
      4. A game is not 15 minutes long, it is 80 minutes.
      5. When New Zealand got a yellow card, both teams were down to 14 players. New Zealand scored. England did not.
      6. If England had been smart they would have taken the penalty kick and forced another 30 minutes of play. They chose not to.
      Time to let it go.

How many free tickets given out? How did the cost of tickets compare to an All Blacks game. The significance of the crowd size is being over estimated - the public is being mislead.

It annoys me when people say "verse" instead of 'versus'.... 😕

To think that the first three men's RWCs were played by amateurs. Now there's so much professionalism at the highest level of rugby for men and women, I feel some nostalgia for the old days. There weren't TMOs, no yellow or red cards, just sending off for blatant fouls when they would happen. I have to say that seeing the final of the women's, it was very well played, but 14 on 15 for most of the match due to a head clash. The other potential red got a yellow card for what I think was the worse of the two offenses, as it was a blow to the head by an arm.
