IIRC this was a direct result of them trying to stop her. They were sick of her crawling into creatures stomachs and eating them from the inside so they removed that option and this occurred
I think the reason Payne and Mii stopped their battle is for Maple not to get too interested and join the fight.

Maple just like DnD player with D20 in every roll. It gave more cards, increase your speech, and got rewarded Excalibur when you helping some random grandma across the street.

She fell off a cliff in the middle of nowhere, landed on the ONE and ONLY item that lets you become machine god, immediately gets lost in a new city, lands in a random location that JUST HAPPENS to need that item she landes on earlier, then becomes god.
@@jordanmchighlander9365 she also has the one and only armorset you can use with Machine God, an armorset that is also completely useless unless you are explicitly running max vitality and then plan to use Machine God.
The funniest bit is that the developers specifically didn't give the alligator a stomach, so it couldn't swallow her- because she would just kill it from the inside while being immune to whatever the stomach could do to hurt her- instead she somehow found a way to pilot it? after filling its mouth with her cotton skill so it couldn't just chew on her until the chip damage did something.
My best guess of how it worked is that the gator is supposed to keep a grip on those it has in its mouth, so maple is basically leading it like a minecraft pig with a carrot, as the programing for the gator tries to keep a grip on her.
Honestly Bofuri is the only anime that gets an actual pass cutting content. Makes the delivery of Maple's OP nonsense even funnier

They should give Maple a call for ideas to improve the game, besides they shouldn't have made a plant that attracts monsters in the first place!

@@anthonyshedd6411 they most likely intended all of those monsters to just outright kill a player as a trap, but Maple being Maple.
@@anthonyshedd6411 I mean, the plant is meant as trap to lure monsters, probably for a team to lure targets into traps and then take on hard to take npcs. Which isn't exactly out of basic mmo rpg or Monsters Hunter world ideas.
What they should've done is not make usage of that plant as spammable as Maple had it.

@@spirittail4958 she is not exploiting anything she is just playing the game in her own way and having fun it is not her fault the devs put easter eggs in the game for players to find and so far she is the only one finding them. She is an explorer and she is exploring and finding things.

Devs removed the concept of monster stomachs from large monsters to prevent cases like Maple who could eat the monsters alive from the inside out. As a result? She gets stuck in the monster's mouth and can steer in whatever direction she pleases since the monster's aggro is focused on her. 0 AGI? No problem, she's working off of the monster's AGI now.
Why not program them to self destruction when they get stuck

I’m equal amounts confused and understanding of this particular idea of Maple’s. The real question is how does a Wooly ball with a Machine God Laser actually control a gator, from jamming itself in the jaws. And don’t get me started on the gator rolling over. Honestly, Maple playing the game with no real game experience is the best thing for NWO, it doesn’t get boring with her around.
Borked enemy AI logic.
The Gator is trying to "eat" target player, wooly however puts gator mouth into open state....
This makes gator AI think it hasn't "eaten" Maple yet.
Tries to move to her coordinates to do so...
The value difference is mininal, but enough to trigger movement, since maple Coordinates changes are dependant of gator movement, Gator is stuck in a logical loop....
The laser arm in a sense extends Maple's hitbox, so it further ensures the gator will remain stuck in moving to try chomping on Maple.
It's like one of those enemies that executes a lunge as a homing attack, but you recall to base at the exact moment that it lunges, so it flies all the way across the map to try and eat you in the safe zone, and then the game crashes.

The whole scene of it was so stupid and out there that Payne and Mii just lost the immersion to even fight each other like they were planning to. They had no words.
Every player had a set game plan and then there is Chaotic Maple farting around and becoming indestructible doing it.

in terms of "random meme bullshit" as a gag to fill in more time and save on animation effort, this beats that Hellsing scene. it was more distracting, confusing, and so effective at making one's brain fart without any focus that going forward with the Sakuga fight would have been really fucking awkward and potentially illegal in the world of anime.
She turned the entire game into real Maple Story.
