@@fanficlover she is the leader of 1 of the top 3 guilds (I would call that the forefront) No1 can copy maples build most of her skills are game unique skills(only 1 player can get ever.) there is a 1st to solo a boss or beat in a special way get skill (they put drain damage only which was locked to mages at start but maple found that eating was drain damage ) Devour , hydra , machine God, atrocity, angel & throne are unique programed in to the game without them maple would just be a tank so no copies. Why nerf a player that only plays for fun getting lucky skills & gear that over lap well (machine gods down side is it breaks your gear to use its atks maple only player known to have auto repair gear so no other player could use it as freely) As some1 that has had people call me a cheater for getting high in a play to win game without money I can feel her .they made me mad so I started whale hunting (I still joked with some of the whales I hunted like I just beat u 10 times in a row then they ask how many in a row they won I just say I lost track at 1000 or so)

I don't see a system like this working without access to the brain stem or controlled bursts of radioactive particles, and I don't think most people would buy into a system that requires brain surgery or a stick of uranium to function. Maybe in 300 years, we MIGHT have the capacity to make such a device. But as it stands, we can barely convince a radiation beam to kill cancer for us with minimal collateral damage, let alone precise activation of specific neurons to generate a controlled lucid dream/hallucination. We don't even know what dreams do yet.

For one, they take advantage of nerves that are outside the brain, while anything that creates hallucinations would need access to either the optic nerve or the visual cortex, both of which are inconveniently located behind a layer of bone. (I suppose you could always stimulate the eye directly, but anything more intense than the current gen of VR headset would likely just blind you :/ )

I'm wondering why they don't just bite the metaphorical bullet and give a boss Maple's stats and abilities. That way, people would have to figure out how to beat Maple to beat the boss, and then just have the new bosses do what those players did. The problem is that the devs made food in the game and gave them hp values. To "kill" or reduce it's hp to 0 they made bites and eating dealing hp removal dmg. Don't remember if it's a flat number per bite or % based. And since hp removal isn't something you can build resistance on unless it's the unkillable bosses like the giant snails in season 1, everything dies to noms
They also made it a point when Sally and Maple were eating in game the first time in the manga that they don't get full or fat; just taste and feel full
So in the book the devil actually have this discussion. And the one who made the demon from world 2 Maple ate inside out is left to comfort the dev of this dragon.
That is basically the main source of player damage in the game Grim Dawn. It does percentage damage and ignore resistances. So you can be a god in the game and still die if you stand on damage ground for 10 seconds. I hate it as you can't always tell where the damage ground is. And the lack of a defence means I just stop playing.
Maple and Sally Combo in 3rd place in this Event is a incredible Feat considering the 1st & 2nd placer has 4 or more players. Maple-Sally combi was chillin on top of a Sea Turtle (Boss) and Still got 3rd Place while the other Team was going at it Hard and if you consider that both Maple & Sally's Level in Lower than the top Placers.
To be fair to the devs, for most of the effects and abilities by themselves are actually quite balanced. It’s only when you start combining the various abilities together that they become op. Like Maple’s Machine God would normally require you to sacrifice your armor permanently for a temporary power boost and it scales with the strength and quality of the armor sacrificed. It’s only because Maple’s armor has the ability to self repair and get stronger every time its destroyed that made Machine God OP.
You know, you'd think that the game would be crawling with Maple min/max wannabes trying to run the exact kind of build she has, considering how insanely overpowered it is. If that were the case, the admins would have a case for nerfing her, since it wouldn't be targeting her specifically, just her sort of build.
Right? You’d also think that these builds would of been discovered long before she started playing. Seriously if there’s anything hardcore min/max gamers are capable of, it’s finding exploits in games to become OP.
take with a grain of salt since i don't know how true this is but a comment i seen said in light novel when they where recruiting for the guild they went to the first floor and saw other players did try to mimic maple but due to the aggro fix way back when they just ended up with a bunch of slow walking players who eventually got bored and made normal characters
@@dragon012652that's true, the extreme builds, as they are called, are basically impossible to pull off alone As shown by Mai and Yui, most players who try are unable to pull it off for some reason and go back and reroll their characters, even the twins were about to before maple recruited them, because they were dying so much, they just couldn't manage to defend themselves
ten months late, but I'm pretty sure they did mess with the method of acquiring one skill she got extremely early into her character's life that basically quadruples all points she puts into defense, making it nigh impossible to get the same way Maple did. They also implemented the Piercing mechanic at around the same time as this patch, alongside nerfing Devour in that update after the first event Maple was in. Since then, numerous updates to either curb her power growth or the fact that literally no one thought to test a purely defense oriented class for balance before Maple, have been implemented. Since, because no one ever did it before, they never needed a piercing mechanic or things that ignore defense and deal fixed damage.
I know I said it once and I said it once again, is the admin/devs fault that maple became OP. They just dug their own grave by making it possible for her to obtain all that powerful skill, stat, and equipment. So yeah, maple just playing the game in ussual way, but the devs is the source of her becoming a literary monstrous tank in the first place😁😅🤣

Look we all know that I a Bofuri video game is ever made, we'll all be playing it like Maple.....okay that a lie, I'd put 5 points into Dex and 5 into Str. Then I'd put my Def to 100, then for every 5 point of Def, I'd put 1 in Str and Dex.
I’d find out what influenced critical hit and make a Reimi. Bow, critical hit, Strength, and some healing and light Magic. Arrow rain and multiple hit skills.
The biggest MVP was the terrain damage 🤣 Gods, I hope she doesn't learn to become immune to fire and ice effects too. She's already immune to poison and explosive damage.

@@JosephStewart1003 atrocity was used as a shield that took over 1000 damage if any1 was hit they would die (1000 damage dragon rage) She could still use machine God but blocking for sally was most effective in that fight. Maple & Sally 2 maned a tower and got 3rd place because the last boss took too long Payne was on floor 5 when maple got to 3 but the both started 10 at almost the same time (that terrain damage really slowed her down.)
Y'know a thought that came to mind to counter maple is by simply making a location where skills cant be used and you need to rely on just raw stats to get through it maple would probably struggle here if no skills would activate and youd say add enemies that ignore defense that'd pretty much be curtains for her while still making it a challenge for other players its not directly geared at maple but it can deal with her
i mean this is kind a dumb to be honest. you cant just says there is no challenge on your event just because of Maple. Its common sense that you fire in the mouth of Dragon to counter attack its breath if you can time it and also its almost always the mouth part of the monsters in every novel/series, its defense is lower. As for the golem, its busted, that Ice age like skill can wipe out a party.
Uh...should they make a boss who has an "ignore defense" type attack? or high penetration? that should solve the problem, right? oh. also make it humanoid size
Honestly, this highlights what I dislike the most out TRPGs (that's not the setting of this, I get that) but too often GM's feel like they "win" by beating the players. Like that's not every GM, but too many do one of two things that are really annoying 1) It is a story that somehow makes their pseudo "character" a power fantasy for themselves and highlights how cool THEY are, or they feel like they need to go and make things difficult on the players or outright kill them to "win" and get discouraged/unhappy if players find unique or creative ways to "solve" a puzzle or quest

Hahahahahaha, the devs want to limit maple so badly, but she was just playing by their rules and got lucky to acquire items and skills that make her as op as she is. If anything it was the devs own fault for making these skills and not expecting someone to get them all together and for not having a stat limit where each stat needs to be at minimum X, instead of allowing every stat to be set to 0 and all points being dumped into one stat so easily
It's also stated I think somewhere that this is there first game any of them had made and that there a small group of friends. Also they do tend to patch things when they notice maple gets a skill that's a little too broken it's just maple tends to combine skills in Interesting ways then use them in non standard was.

If they only stop making boss monsters that can be eaten, they might prevent Maple 🤣🤣🤣
The problem is that the devs made food in the game and gave them hp values. To "kill" or reduce it's hp to 0 they made bites and eating dealing hp removal dmg. Don't remember if it's a flat number per bite or % based. And since hp removal isn't something you can build resistance on unless it's the unkillable bosses like the giant snails in season 1, everything dies to noms
They also made it a point when Sally and Maple were eating in game the first time in the manga that they don't get full or fat; just taste and feel full
So in the book the devil actually have this discussion. And the one who made the demon from world 2 Maple ate inside out is left to comfort the dev of this dragon.
@@HazeEmry when remembering the first episode, maple neaded a lot of "bit attacks" to kill the hydra, so I would assume it's a flat number.

The fact that maple is the only player know to have never died.(Payne & Mia where there till the met maple .I think Sally also never died)
That is basically the main source of player damage in the game Grim Dawn. It does percentage damage and ignore resistances. So you can be a god in the game and still die if you stand on damage ground for 10 seconds. I hate it as you can't always tell where the damage ground is. And the lack of a defence means I just stop playing.

Maple and Sally Combo in 3rd place in this Event is a incredible Feat considering the 1st & 2nd placer has 4 or more players.
Maple-Sally combi was chillin on top of a Sea Turtle (Boss) and Still got 3rd Place while the other Team was going at it Hard and if you consider that both Maple & Sally's Level in Lower than the top Placers.

No-one can stop Maple, because no-one can anticipate Maple. Not even Maple.
In all fairness, the admins put those stupidly op effects into the game. They can only blame themselves.
To be fair to the devs, for most of the effects and abilities by themselves are actually quite balanced. It’s only when you start combining the various abilities together that they become op. Like Maple’s Machine God would normally require you to sacrifice your armor permanently for a temporary power boost and it scales with the strength and quality of the armor sacrificed. It’s only because Maple’s armor has the ability to self repair and get stronger every time its destroyed that made Machine God OP.

You know, you'd think that the game would be crawling with Maple min/max wannabes trying to run the exact kind of build she has, considering how insanely overpowered it is. If that were the case, the admins would have a case for nerfing her, since it wouldn't be targeting her specifically, just her sort of build.
Right? You’d also think that these builds would of been discovered long before she started playing. Seriously if there’s anything hardcore min/max gamers are capable of, it’s finding exploits in games to become OP.
take with a grain of salt since i don't know how true this is but a comment i seen said in light novel when they where recruiting for the guild they went to the first floor and saw other players did try to mimic maple but due to the aggro fix way back when they just ended up with a bunch of slow walking players who eventually got bored and made normal characters

As shown by Mai and Yui, most players who try are unable to pull it off for some reason and go back and reroll their characters, even the twins were about to before maple recruited them, because they were dying so much, they just couldn't manage to defend themselves
ten months late, but I'm pretty sure they did mess with the method of acquiring one skill she got extremely early into her character's life that basically quadruples all points she puts into defense, making it nigh impossible to get the same way Maple did. They also implemented the Piercing mechanic at around the same time as this patch, alongside nerfing Devour in that update after the first event Maple was in.
Since then, numerous updates to either curb her power growth or the fact that literally no one thought to test a purely defense oriented class for balance before Maple, have been implemented. Since, because no one ever did it before, they never needed a piercing mechanic or things that ignore defense and deal fixed damage.
I know I said it once and I said it once again, is the admin/devs fault that maple became OP. They just dug their own grave by making it possible for her to obtain all that powerful skill, stat, and equipment. So yeah, maple just playing the game in ussual way, but the devs is the source of her becoming a literary monstrous tank in the first place😁😅🤣
Idk-But I have a small theory, the armors she have were meant to be found by other players to counter how op she is, but then! She ends up finding all of them.
Look we all know that I a Bofuri video game is ever made, we'll all be playing it like Maple.....okay that a lie, I'd put 5 points into Dex and 5 into Str. Then I'd put my Def to 100, then for every 5 point of Def, I'd put 1 in Str and Dex.
I’d find out what influenced critical hit and make a Reimi. Bow, critical hit, Strength, and some healing and light Magic.
Arrow rain and multiple hit skills.

@@JosephStewart1003 atrocity was used as a shield that took over 1000 damage if any1 was hit they would die (1000 damage dragon rage)
She could still use machine God but blocking for sally was most effective in that fight.
Maple & Sally 2 maned a tower and got 3rd place because the last boss took too long
Payne was on floor 5 when maple got to 3 but the both started 10 at almost the same time (that terrain damage really slowed her down.)

Y'know a thought that came to mind to counter maple is by simply making a location where skills cant be used and you need to rely on just raw stats to get through it maple would probably struggle here if no skills would activate and youd say add enemies that ignore defense that'd pretty much be curtains for her while still making it a challenge for other players its not directly geared at maple but it can deal with her
i mean this is kind a dumb to be honest. you cant just says there is no challenge on your event just because of Maple. Its common sense that you fire in the mouth of Dragon to counter attack its breath if you can time it and also its almost always the mouth part of the monsters in every novel/series, its defense is lower. As for the golem, its busted, that Ice age like skill can wipe out a party.
Good points actually. The mouth is always the obvious target. I've seen it so many times before in anime I'm losing count.
Uh...should they make a boss who has an "ignore defense" type attack? or high penetration? that should solve the problem, right? oh. also make it humanoid size

Honestly, this highlights what I dislike the most out TRPGs (that's not the setting of this, I get that) but too often GM's feel like they "win" by beating the players. Like that's not every GM, but too many do one of two things that are really annoying 1) It is a story that somehow makes their pseudo "character" a power fantasy for themselves and highlights how cool THEY are, or they feel like they need to go and make things difficult on the players or outright kill them to "win" and get discouraged/unhappy if players find unique or creative ways to "solve" a puzzle or quest
(I will admit, it's NOT creative to load up on or make some gun powder or some other explosive concoction to just blow up a dungeon/dragon/whatever)

Hahahahahaha, the devs want to limit maple so badly, but she was just playing by their rules and got lucky to acquire items and skills that make her as op as she is. If anything it was the devs own fault for making these skills and not expecting someone to get them all together and for not having a stat limit where each stat needs to be at minimum X, instead of allowing every stat to be set to 0 and all points being dumped into one stat so easily

Also they do tend to patch things when they notice maple gets a skill that's a little too broken it's just maple tends to combine skills in Interesting ways then use them in non standard was.
