Fozzy was a great friend and supporter to my late son and this song was played at his funeral 8 years ago. It is only now I can listen to it without feeling pain. Thank you Chris Jericho and your band. RIP Daniel House 🌿🕊
It's really strange to see this comment, given that I recently lost my seven year old daughter and just discovered this cover a few days ago. Listening to music is like walking a tightrope for me at the moment, we're still very early in our grief. But this song has, for some reason, hit that sweet spot between resonating with me and making me think of her, but still wanting to bop along to it with a smile. Just thought I'd share with a fellow grieving parent. My heart is with you.
Jericho wrote this, in fact he wrote over ten thousand songs. He listed them all: 1 Back In Black 2 Stairway to Heaven 3 Armbar 4 ...... 1174 Armbar 1175 Under the boardwalk 1176 Armbar 7721 Crossface ... 10000 Armbar
Fozzy just said in a brand new interview that he first heard this song backstage at an Anthrax concert and that for some strange reason it reminded him of Yngwie Malmsteen and Rush. A deep and dark feeling. Great song!
Can't believe Fozzy made this cover. I was listening to SOS by ABBA and was thinking during the chorus that 'This would be such a neat rock/metal chorus', so I gave it a Google and found this. Holy damn... Very well made too.
@@ConnbineHarvester Nice try, but you know very well that ABBA wrote the song in 1974, that they have released it in 1975 and that Fozzy is the band that actually covered it.
I thought it was a great cover .... Don't dis ABBA...they were in a class of their own.. just embrace talent that can take a cover and make it their own ... Great Job
If you have not seen Fozzy live then you are missing out. Y2J was born to be a rockstart and it shows. Damn good band and great live show! I was amazed last night at House of Blues.
i randomly heard this on a spotify playlist and didnt know it was Jericho’s band. i saw the live videos and realised it was him. the crowds are always dead when he does this live but this song is really good
LOL. SOS is and always has been a brilliantly crafted song. Pete Townsend said it is one of, if not the greatest pop song ever written. Portishead recently covered it and it featured in the film 'HIgh Rise'. ABBA's live performances of this, as with many of their songs was pretty rocked up too.
I bought the CD, and heard this song and was like WTF. This sounds like a ABBA song. Jericho does an awesome updated version to this song. ABBA should be proud!!!
This cover has no business being as good as it is. Incredible.

Stay strong, you 2. ❤
Never in my life did I think I would hear Jericho covering ABBA, much less doing a good job of it.
***** Really? Jericho has an insanly wide taste in music, this didnt shock me at all.
+Livevil9912 indeed... even y2j listening to x-japan
I discovered X Japan because of Chris' 1st book. Along with Saw 4.

daveglander1 You botched that quote so fucking hard.
I died laughing 😂😂
THAT is funny....
Y2J is the best at whatever he does.
So True.
This includes ARMDRAGS and ARMBARS!
EXACTLY!!
Allairis and being from Winnipeg, you idiot.
This song goes back decades ago and FOZZY brought it back to life!! Love this song
This just goes to show the power of ABBA. You can't argue with a perfect pop song.
Either that or it just goes to show you that Chris Jericho can make *anything* listenable. Even ABBA.
@@Emper0rH0rde I agree.
Pop? Wouldn't it be Disco?
There's just something about this song that ROCKS! I'd never thought I would have said that about ABBA's SOS, but Fozzy rocks it. Great cover of SOS.
Take any song, turn it metal, make it better!
Abba really lends itself to metal: especially power metal.
Agreed
"Anything can be Metal, blacker than black times infinity."
um no
proof positive that good songwriting translates into any genre
Tori Amos - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Fozzy should totally remake the original Abba "SOS" music video! It would be cool, retro sorta parody of old 70's and 80's music videos.
Fozzy can make any bands songs rock. Saw the 3 nites ago. Best live show i have ever seen! No lie! Rich Ward is a genius!
Fozzy just said in a brand new interview that he first heard this song backstage at an Anthrax concert and that for some strange reason it reminded him of Yngwie Malmsteen and Rush. A deep and dark feeling. Great song!
fking amazing cover of ABBA!!! FOZZY is a lot better than I thought they would be.. like a lot better than i thought they would be....

Every Abba song can be sung in every tune,so this is incredible
This song live= epicness
I grew up on abba and this I can honestly say is the first cover I've heard that sounds better then the original!
@Brianna- I agree!
Can't believe Fozzy made this cover. I was listening to SOS by ABBA and was thinking during the chorus that 'This would be such a neat rock/metal chorus', so I gave it a Google and found this. Holy damn... Very well made too.
I think ABBA covered it and it's a Fozzy song... Jericho invented Star Wars too. ;)
@@ConnbineHarvester Nice try, but you know very well that ABBA wrote the song in 1974, that they have released it in 1975 and that Fozzy is the band that actually covered it.
Oh yeah, no disrespect towards Jericho, but he is not the inventor of Star Wars. George Lucas is.
@@RuurdWoltring Fake News!
Jericho invented ABBA
que es abba?
@Oscar Garcia Ramirez WHAT?

What an incredible and bad ass cover of a great song. Cover doesn’t do it justice. A reinterpretation. A masterpiece. Love it.
Only Fozzy can make an ABBA cover sound better than the original!
Red did a Duran Duran song better
Ghost I Am A Marionette is pretty siiiick

I like this I just got the Album
For a cover of an ABBA song, this is the best one--in my opinion, at least...
Is it me or would this fit as a royal rumble theme? Especially for the epicness promo before the royal rumble match.
It was this past Summer Slam. One of the official songs.
TheBeastBoy I think Lights Go Out was the song for SummerSlam.
No, it was this one. I googled it.
TheBeastBoy tonykegger is right, it was Lights Go Out, it wasn't SOS.
alflex621 too bad the rumble sucked BIG TIME again
I love it
