They are trying to project you can be any size practice and perseverance its all it takes
They failed cause they’re just skinny people with fat suits on
Queen B - no they absolutely are not.
A lot of comments saying that the couple are just making 'fat jokes', so here is some context. The point of reference in the dance world, is that dancers run to fat when they do not train. The introduction says that they are Mr & Mrs Latin who have been retired for more than ten years. And without being explicit and naming names, there is a very well known professional couple in the UK who came out of competitive retirement one year to take part in a pro competition, who had both put on weight since their glory days. And they were still magnificent.
I'm not commenting on the dance, I just want to say that I think Katya looks gorgeous!
Oh my goodness, some people commenting negatively on this just need to chill out! Bet they are the kind of folk that get offended by every little fucking thing! So what if you are offended. It’s an emotion the same as being sad or happy. I, myself am overweight and I don’t find this in the least bit bad taste. I take it in the spirit in which it has been uploaded. To show the skills of two amazing dancers. 👏👏
The skill required to wear the suit and dance is a feat on it's own. Loved it 😂 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽.
They are amazing. For you over sensitive people this happens because you don't love or accept yourself. I have a friend who is close to this size and he dances magnificently because he has hell of confidence. This is a presentation to promote awareness that more plus size individuals can dance and should try to enter the dancing world professionally.
Soy ese comentario en español que buscabas!!😉😘
🇲🇽Oooo siiiiii🇲🇽
Úsame como botón de que un mexicano estuvo aquí!!!🤭😘
Clean ass dancers!
I am genuinely huge and know that if you find this offensive you don’t have any real problems in life 😂
What was the purpose of wearing the fat suits though
@@breatheinpoetry I’d imagine, purely to make them stand out from the hundreds of other competitors.
@@ProfessorSassypants yeah they did a good job of that looked more like comedy act than dancing
@@breatheinpoetry except that they still danced phenomenally?
@@KelsiChristine Eddie Murphy wore a fat suit in several characters in the Klumps movies so it’s not that serious.
Oh my goodness, get a sense of humor people!! I'm heavy and I thought it was funny. I'm so tired of overly sensitive snowflakes!
Waw nice
Lol! These guys are the best!
Who said they were making fun of fat people, looks like more of a celebration?
They looks amazing omg
It was parody. That’s fat shaming
Why’s everyone laughing then?
@@breatheinpoetry how are they supposed to tell everyone not to laugh?? It’s like bo burnham making song people aren’t meant to laugh at and still laugh.
@@aspectrat651 they wanted people to laugh because fat people are funny
U people need to Chill, they're just having fun😆
In 2018 we don’t call people overweight even if they are. We should just adjust the dress sizes so 16 becomes 10, XXL becomes M , obese becomes “curvy” and everyone learns to live with it .
Justin Neill Interesting
Where is the "fun " part? Sorry, I have missed it... if you wanna have fun, choose a fun song, create a fun dance and this "costume" will not be necessary. If you have 0 imagination, put this costume on etc, however, fun part is still not there🤷♀️
I don’t find it funny. I’d rather see big people who can dance beautifully not caring about their size than two people in excellent shape bursting out of their costumes.
Right. I'm a figure skater and I'm definitely not skinny I'm 5'4 and 185 lbs.
Sometimes I worry about what others think when I'm skating but seeing bigger people do things like this is so uplifting ❤️
@@AliyahScott1621 I hope you have a lot of fun skating. Don’t worry too much what others think - if you can. It isn’t easy no matter what your size, looks or talent. I am not good enough to call myself a skater. I am quite good at not falling on the floor though. Lol. But far away from a graceful skater. I am good at other things though. Be well.
@@AliyahScott1621 they are not fat, they are wearing fat suits. Look them up.
@@samiesam320 * *Curb Your Enthusiasm theme plays* *🙃 lol
Well fat people that size couldn't dance like this fast and wouldn't be healthy for their hearts/joints/knees and so on
Foarte greţos !
Year 2020 Maybe try to wear "black " costume to have fun? Let's see how it turns out ...also, it very funny to put these kind of costumes in the country that has problem with obesity 😧🤢
Black Costume tf is tha?
You can't compare someone black and someone fat, one is not a choice it's how you're born and other is what you become by your choices
@@standingfortruth4043 It’s to do with shaming people for who they are. Since overweight people get bullied and shamed already why mock them? Should they dance as someone that has bulimia and fake vomit? You would probably say bulimia is a choice. It just wasn’t really necessary to do this for a laugh when it can hurt people’s feelings.
I mean if you’re mad at them for doing a performance and people are laughing who’s to blame, you for getting offended or them doing something that offends you? They can’t control the people laughing. It’s like getting mad at sumo wrestlers for wearing sumo suits and people laughing as they look fat.
Either way you shouldn’t worry about what people think nor what someone else is doing if they’re not doing it to or for you.
You’re most likely the type of person to get mad at only seeing skinny models setting unrealistic beauty standards, when in reality theirs many of plus sized and ‘plump’ models in the world example an actress people consider fat which I think is poserious as she a natural size, Barbie Ferrieria, her name fits her beauty.
Maybe just change where you’re looking as I see this as a saying plus size people can also do extraordinary things
Not meaning to start an argument nor write an essay but it is what it is
Second song please anyone
don't cha by the baseballs
They are not fat. They have suit.
This is very very strange.
I know this is meant to be a joke but what kind of message is this sending? That overweight people dancing is something to be laughed at. Completely at odds with the message that they should be sending out as Strictly stars. Dancing is for everyone - you shouldn't have to be slim and gorgeous to take to the floor without being mocked...
Helen W, I understand your concern, but this dance wasn't making fun of overweight people dancing, but celebrating it. They said on an interview that this dance was meant to be fun, and to prove a point that dancers shouldn't be judged based on weight, but on dance ability. They laughed at the criticism an overweight contestant received. I'm paraphrasing of course.
Helen W I have lost all respect for them now. Have the BBC not seen this? What a joke
ExquisiteCoils interesting take. Who was the contestant that got so much criticism because they were overweight?
Im obese, i think its funny and proves bigger people can dance and look awesome doing it.
Im sorry your skinny ass is offended for me but dont be. We all think its great
@@ExquisiteKinkyCoils sorry but their choreography would suggest otherwise - the theatrical panting for air, the lifts that they fail to do because they’re “too fat” everything about this is making a mockery, not a celebration.
А ТЕТКА -ТО НАДУВНАЯ ???
Это костюмы. Этой паре влетело за некорректность.
What the hell? 😂😂😂
Așa sunt ei de grași??
What is the point of the fat suits ????
How is this cute or funny
ما حبيت لانه يتمسخروا على الناس اللي عندهم وزن زائد
👍
Why were they wearing fat-suits?
Going for laughs at the expense of others. The routine is Not funny. The audience looked more embarrassed than entertained.
@@Omfgwhtavid Daaasaaaaaaaamn!!🤣😆😆😆
And why never see fat, real real poeple in the competitions? Is because all dancers are fit.. or fat couples dont get chosen?
Questionable!
All of that work and talent and they chose to use it to make fat jokes.
No I think those are just fat suits and they are making a point look at their other videos nobody that size could move like that
you're so wrong. you've obviously never spent any time on youtube. there are many very large people who dance amazingly well.
@@sothathappened but are those not fat suits
@@sothathappened They are fat suits. If you watch their other videos, the dancers are slender
N8
Vulgar!!!
not funny at all.
Yeah. Totally unrealistic, they're in North America so they look anorexic, need another 300 pounds each before they could be portraying fat there.
They're mocking fat shaming in ballroom dancing by displaying their talent
despite their size.
Hilarious actually
Patrick Schreiber you must be morbidly obese
This is not what we are supposed to be doing in 2018. Don’t they understand that fat is the new normal? I know it was in Holland where people tend to be slimmer but they must’ve known it would be seen online in the UK, where the average viewer is going to be overweight.
Ive travelled through s lot of european countries and asia and fat is not the new normal. There should be more fat shaming. It might save lives.
Tom Cook Agreed. I was being ironic. We do ourselves no favours by embracing our failings as a cop out for tackling them. Otherwise in 30 years time we will all be soft, podgy, tearful and soppy, with no willpower or self discipline.
@@justinneill5003 nice to hear your opinion. Im in good shape and Ive had larger people say " well its ok for you" Then i tell them my routines and the fact I love food as much as the next person. Everything in moderation is a good philosophy. By the way if you havent done it try going refined sugar free for 2 weeks. Its a nightmare but a good experiment.
Fortunately, it is 2019 and it is funny!!! (otherwise, why would audience laughing?) :D
@@Asasimon1 It is from 2016, to be precise.
