Thank you so much for the encouraging words. I’m still quite new at making videos and hope that the quality will improve with more practice. Knowing that what I’m saying is resonating with others is very inspiring. Thanks again 😀
I am a Christian and I appreciate the video! I wanted to watch it because I don’t want to close myself off to opposing opinions, I thought this would be a video being inflammatory towards Christianity but it was very surprising and interesting! I’ve been looking into orthodox Christianity recently and have been learning about other denominations and I can say to you definitively that there are in fact “denominations” that are extremely cultish and even actual cults by definition, I’d say Mormonism and the LDS would be a good candidate for those examples in my humble opinion. Great video!
Would be a good idea for future videos to deep dive into certain sects of Christianity to pick apart their cultish behaviors and beliefs as well, great quality video for a new channel by the way! (Edit: I just saw your other videos, looks like you’re already doing that) as I Christian I would encourage the dissection of other sects and such because it’s so vast the denominations and while Christianity itself was not inherently a cult it makes it very easy to sell an actual cult by co-opting an actual religion.
Thank you for such a wonderful comment! I’m definitely not interested in criticising anyone’s beliefs systems. I’ve met many beautiful Christians and have been involve with some really loving communities, but if any group of people use coercive behaviours then that’s not okay! On my website I’ve analysed a few different groups (including different Christian denominations) using the same criteria that’s in this video. You may want to check it out 😀
Thanks for the encouragement to continue 😀🙏. Totally agree, Christianity is not supposed to be a cult religion and it’s a shame so many groups weaponise the teachings. It’s the same for Judaism, Islam, Hindu, Buddhism, New Age, etc. All peaceful religions at the core but when lead by narcissists can inflict harm.
The persecution card - that’s a can of worms! Definitely highlights the nuances and complexity of the word “cult”. As a thought experiment, if the twelve criteria were applied to the Imperial Roman cult and other pagan communities of the first three centuries, I’d predict they used higher levels of coercive control than Early Christians.
No, Christianity is not a coercive religion. What is it about you that you want to lead people AWAY from the truth and away from what would make them truly happy?
Finish the video brother, I’m a Christian and she never calls us a cult at all, she actually labels us at a pretty low scale ❤ don’t judge a book by its cover, titles on RUclips are meant to get your attention by being controversial
Yes, yes it has
Thanks for your response!
@recoverfromcoercivecontrol no problem. Very good video by the way

Don't stop now! Conquer the world!!! I got your back!
@ 😃❤️🥰
The point about Ananias and Sapphira is provocative for me!
That is definitely a strong fear and intimidation tactic!

It certainly was treated as a cult back in the day. As those found to be following it were persecuted even to death for it.

What truth? What sect of early Christianity do you follow?

well your comment is exactly why people call it a cult. No information or fact outside of your church can change what you think about the "truth"
@@TanNguyen-tz8tk did you watch the video and understand my definition of cult with little c and big C?
