Might be Cindy & Kate's best combined & harmonized vocals !
Cindy and Kate's voices together is magic
I know! They're so crazy similar and complimentary
Their harmony is wonderful 🤗
True, Joe.
It’s a perfect pop song
they were awesome together like eddie van halen and michael anthony coming together
Their vocals were second to none here. What a perfect match in harmony. So catchy and fun. Did we Gen X'rs know how good we had it with this kind of music? Probably not because we were younger. It's nice to be able to revisit all the raw talent from the 80's and 90's and further appreciate it.
Kate and Cindy were born to sing together. Outstanding harmony!
I've always thought so. Their voices blend and complement each other so beautifully! I love it
Who's still listening in 2024?!

I still enjoy them, they're just great. Så är det bara....❤

I love how Fred doesn't sing a note in this song and yet he's the hammiest performer in the video. Love that guy.

Cosmic Thing is one of the greatest albums of the 1980s, and that speaks volumes.
I was 8. My sister was 14 with big hair. She would blast this every Saturday morning just before mom would call us down for breakfast. Then we would all watch Peewee Herman together. Life was great.
That is very cool
Such a vibe!
One of the most unique bands of all time. It's hard to put them in a single genre. They're one of a kind and will never be matched

They still got the pipes. SF Masonic couple weeks ago👍👏
Too bad they were practically a one hit wonder

Honestly... I feel these two women have the most robustly true female singing voices ever. Their ability to just belt out lyrics is just talent!
You never heard Vika and Linda Bull then. Two south sea islanders they are magical. Do yourself a favor
@@zapkvr okay... I'll look them up.
I would say that individually they were certainly above average singers, but harmonizing together is where they really shined. I'm not the biggest fan of ABBA, but I have to admit that those two female vocalists were also on another level. Dancing Queen is another great example of a powerful harmonic duo.
Yeah I really love Heart also
Agree
The B-52s are what is known as Kismet. All this talent growing up right near each other is meant to be.
It is almost impossible to be in a bad mood, and listen to the B52s. They are a natural mood elevator!
It blows my mind that this band is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, their vocals are outstanding, incredible song writers, and master multiple instruments.
Dolly Parton is a bigger rocker.

@Decibell one Abba, En Vouge, Phil Collins and Phil Bailey, The beatles, everly brothers, ike and tina, simon and garfunkel etc... quite a bit and all subjective. B52s were good yes but best I wouldnt say top 10 even.
@Micozane Woods ok that came from left field... I like Heart better personally Ann a d Nancy are dominant.
What blows my mind is that the B-52s were already 'old' when this album came out. They were so F-ing good. They were like the coolest people no matter what generation you were from. They just maintained soooo long, as if their core beings were just 'Cool', forever and always. Love them to bits!
they are cool 24-7
Man, IDK. I respect their place in history but I don't think they'd be considered cool by modern standards, nor by people prior to the 80's, and probably by significant portions of the 80's audience as well if we're being honest.
The redhead was dummy hot af though.
Im 63 and grew up in 60s and 70s, and loved the B52s as did a lot of people i knew at the time and that was the 80s .
They were different with they're own unique style ! With all the shit about nowadays, im sure they would be appreciated .
Im quite certain there are a lot of youngsters who grew up listening to there parents music , have taken them to they're musical hearts. Tho i do respect your comments .
Yeah, I remember they were my cousin's friend's favorite group already in the early 1980s, this song was 1992?

Today this song brought me comfort after learning my longtime friend suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. We were both huge B-52s fans in our teens and even had the pleasure of going to their concert together. Hearing this song comforted me with happiness during my grief. Andrew, now it’s time for your spirit to ROAM around the world and the entire dang Universe! My life was better for having you as a friend. 🙏🏽❤️

Losing a good friend especially unexpectedly IS difficult!
I've been there. She was one of the people that I attended a lot of rock concerts with together.
The harmonies on this are PURE FIRE
They really are. I was never a big fan of this band, but I never get tired of listening to these ladies harmonize.
Check out Topaz, in fact, the whole Cosmic Thing album is amazing
They had three of the most distinctive voices of any band (unusual for any to have three) and together, one cannae contest that they were greater than the sum of the parts...
If you like harmonies doesn’t get any better than Abba
Ooh no, try Turin Brakes for harmonies.I was talking of the qualities of their voices, and how well they mesh!
Who is still here listening to this 35 yr old vocal masterpiece?

Still a great song.
It's me for example.

Kate & Cindy are easily the best vocal pairing in the world.
Check out Devil's Daughters "Pass That Bottle To Me." Another great match up. They need more good, and some great, songs; but they that same magic.
Definitely underrated vocalists, especially Kate! She's an amazing singer, and I have a feeling critics often overlooked her because she was in a rock band.

60 years old and I love the B-52's!!!!!
It's amazing how 2 women's voices intertwine with each others vocals so perfectly.
They have very similar ways of singing but they're different it's weird but it works so well.
I love the originality of the B52's no one is like them. They seem to genuinely love making music together & having a great time. It shines through on their songs. I've just watch a mini documentary with them. It confirmed my perceptions of them. Lots of smiles & laughing. The obvious take away is, they've been together forever that takes a lot of chemistry as a band.
Nailed it. Huge fan for years but, over the last few months (gearing up for a family loss), The B-52s have been a form of therapy for me. Haven't listened to anything else in months. So grateful to them.
As a kid in the 80's the lyrics went completely way over my head, but as an adult now, every song (and I mean every song) is sexual innuendo. The exception at the time I think was the music video for the song Good Stuff ... left little doubt in my mind what that was about!
They can both sing their sweet asses off
And they were already great friends when they started the band. Love and fun instead of competing egos.

Saturday August 26, 1989. After decompressing from a long bus ride north from Tampa Florida and settling into my new home living with my adopted dad and his family, I was able to listen to this song on VH-1 on my dad's tv, and then go for a walk down Maple St. Got downtown past Blinker Custard and decided I wanted a chocolate custard cone. Best tasting thing I'd had all summer. The breeze was warm, but not hot. I could smell the Sycamore's sweet sap on the wind, pulling my memory back to early child hood, in this same town, 15 years prior. Waking up to this sunny day, I knew that what I'd left behind wasn't a loss, but a stepping stone into an uncertain, but hopeful future. The little Things!!!! I was only 8 when this record came out and I bet a lot of people were saying that this is cheesy as hell but listening to it in 2023 and its a classic pop song! Cindy and Kates voice is a force to be reckoned with!
My late husband loved this song, playing it for him now.
+Mlopez697 Condolences
+Reece Thank you.
+Mlopez697 Nice tribute to your husband. May he rest in peace.
+BIRISHPM Thank you.
+Mlopez697 he can't hear it.. too much dirt in his ear.
Some people want to be rich & famous.
I just want my life to be an 80's music video.
Daymon Rondino , I never read a more true statement
Me, too!
Though this is a 90s video😁✌
@@smashrunner8954 On the cusp? lol
You can do that when you’re rich
Head to head through the wilderness is the best pre chorus hook ever
One of the all-time great videos of the 80's. Back when originality and talent fused into something beautiful. And there is no living being with a soul that can't love Fred Schneider!
I see you there, in 2021, tapping your foot, missing these times.
Those were the days (still are)
haha... you will never know how much I miss these times. Blessed I liked through them and didn't discover the tunes via GTA or TikTok ;0)
Yep. Right here right now.
It’s so beautiful how they came back strong after Ricky passed away. He’d have love this I’m sure
bobjordan69 , love you and prayers
