      @Sam_D 10 месяцев назад

@@remus2001 that's unfortunate, I had a good experience with them but I've seen some people talk about their bad experience with CW support, from what I know most of these bad experiences happend after CW released BelCanto, because they had some production issues in that time and couldn't get back to all customers on time.

Yes, I agree - I don't think outstanding customer service is one of their targets, or even something they consider. I'm really not sure how you perfected humor, but you've done it. As for the Twelve, I completely agree on how it wears. I have the same size wrist and it does wear better than the PRX, though the PRX is fine for me too. As you said, CW is really at the point where if you like how it looks, just get it. I tried on well over a dozen of their watches at Windup Chicago and every one of them felt great on wrist and had impressive build quality. It was my first time (be gentle) to try them out and they exceeded expectations. I even got to try the titanium Twelve on. I wouldn't say it was too light, but I could see somebody disagreeing with me. I will say the blue titanium model in person has a bit more of a greenish blue look to it than it does in photos. I prefer the shade in photos. It really would be nice to have non-COSC SW300-1 in the steel models. I really would love the extra power reserve, and they could be as thin as the titanium models. CW seems to have a thing for only putting COSC movements in non-steel models. I'm not sure why though. TL;DR If you like the looks of the Twelve, just get one.

I've been following this watch. Really like the design. One thing you didn't mention is that SW300 movement is thinner allowing the titanium version to be under 9mm thick which is great. I'd prefer steel but because of the power reserve and thinner case, I'm leaning to the purple titanium version.

    • @Sam_D

I've been not so patiently waiting for one I ordered a little while back. Picking which one to go for was tough. I originally went with the purple and titanium but swapped it out for the blue titanium. I love purple but already have my share of purple dials now whereas the electric blue just really pops and stands out among the usual blue hues. At the same time, the steel versions are tempting because the steel bracelet plays . . . er, lollygags with the lumens more. But the better movement tipped the scales. Having a spring drive watch I wear regularly has spoiled me for more accurate movements when they're an option.

I have had a 40mm 12 since they first hit. I just put it on their Rubber Strap and it looks great… as great as the bracelet is, and it is, the rubber strap I find has two advantages from my perspective. With the rubber it puts the watch itself to the forefront without the distraction of the crazy light reflecting bracelet. I find now that the Bezel itself has more presence on the rubber. But even more importantly is the transition from the watch to the strap is noticeably smoother and more flush fitting. Not dissing the bracelet because it is great, but for under $100 grab a rubber for it as well. Even in SS, the 40 mm 12 with the rubber strap is only 91 gms and you don’t even know it on!

Looks fantastic on her wrist +as does the Zenith btw) and your sizing advice has made me think. I prefer the proportion of the dial pattern and furniture on the smaller size and prefer it without a date. Normally I'd say 37-38 is my sweet spot, beyond gets large, but 36 gets small. I'm sure either should be just at home on my wrist really, but now I think that should I ever go for one, I should try first.

I just received the Ti version in gradient blue, and I am pleased with it. While I think that the upgraded features are worth the price increase, I would prefer a non-gradient dial, with no distraction from the impressive dial texture. Also, the date may be a little hard for some to read without reading glasses, due to the size and contrast of the white numeral against the blue date wheel that matches the dial, though I absolutely prefer that they match. But still it is a great watch and a great value.

How do you find the legibility of the grey dial? I went to CW today and was torn between the white and grey dial, only thing that put me off the grey was you can barely see the logo on it.

Do you have any advice on this vs the Formex Essence 39. Really torn on these two right now and didn't know if you could shed some light on the pros/cons of each?

Would you recommend the Basalt Grey or the Nordic Blue? Curious why you chose the former

I always had your taste in high regard, but these latest purchases ( a RB Tudor!?) and a generic looking CW doesn't compute with me. : \

I found that the 36mm Defy wore perfectly on my 6.3 inch wrist. Does the 36 CW fit more or less the same as the Defy or should i try the 40 as well? I wish there was a store to try these on!

Was bummed out when I saw this released just after I bought the PRX, but then I remembered that the price range is also twice that with the bracelet. Bracelet, movement, lume etc is just a bit more refined in this one

36mm no-date titanium will be the winner I think when it arrives.

    Amazing, and great sited watch.
Unlike your weird 7ish inch wrist that no one seems to know the size to

I just got my Twelve this week and I love this watch already. I was having this same dialogue in my mind, is this watch "worth it" for the price? For the Twelve, I'd say yes, absolutely. My second favorite, a watch you've covered extensively already, the Cartier Santos, does not meet that bar although I absolutely love the design. I just can't imagine shelling out >$5000 for a watch. Perhaps I can attribute that to being one of the poors, but I'll savor the chase for a Santos in the meantime and leave it to being a milestone watch. One of these days...

I just bought a Twelve for my US based nephews 21st birthday (his older brother got a C1 Morgan at 21.) I let him pick any Christopher Ward except for the Bel Canto.
He went for the Basalt Grey and I didn't really like the colour until I saw your video, makes me feel a lot happier with his choice.
You've made me think I should go to their shop in Maidenhead and have a look at the Titanium versions in the flesh as I like the specs but not the mixed dial colours.

Why does it need automatic on the dial? Curious to know people's thoughts

These are really nice watches, it's really cool what Christopher Ward has been doing in these past couple years. I considered getting one but I had already bought a horage supersede and I also already own a VC overseas. I like integrated watches but I can't justify owning three.

Is the weight of 36mm on the full bracelet correct, 81g?
