Hi Shannon, I have a few of the USB Lithium tools and find them all useful. I especially love the air inflator. I own two and keep one in my motorcycle top case. I plan on buying more tools as they are released. Nice video!
These tools are great I have 6 ryobi just ordered my fridge freezer .im off grid no power I’m living the life with ryobi . I can’t wait to buy my next product this week❤
That would be amazing! Or how about a Ryobi day where you get a one 3V battery for free when buying any 4V tool $75 and less or two 3V batteries for $76 and up?
should've been here few last 2 weeks around black friday/cyber monday. They had 2 3Ah cell versions for 30$ on sell. Compared to it being like 55/60$ for 2.
It's ironic that you're showing us all these tools in a kitchen. We would LOVE if Ryobi made kitchen tools based on the USB batteries. Maybe make them a different color but still run on the USB batteries. 🙂 We have a few cordless kitchen gadgets that either run on AA or built-in batteries that are not very powerful. Make it so! (Even though I have WAY too many Ryobi products already!! 😛 )
I completely agree! Could you imagine a small drink mixer that was powered by the 4V system? How about a carving knife? What about an a can opener? Of course no kitchen would be complete without a timer!
Some tool only options, would be really nice. They don't have to be sold in stores, online would be great. Since I've already got more than enough USB Lithium batteries, its hard to justify buying more of the lineup, when $20-25 of that costs is for a "surplus" battery. Your area light is being sold for $30 with an included battery. The same battery solo is being sold for $25. If I could buy a tool only version of the area light for $10, I'd happily buy 2 maybe 3. Just look at that final shot of the video, who is going to be able to use those 9 tools at once? So does one really need 9 batteries? Plus if I do find I need more batteries, I'm going to want the 3ah ones. Also it would be cool to be able to purchase that 2 port power source from the heated cushion separately!
It's amusing people complain about getting a extra battery. "OH gosh 29$ for a battery and tool. ugh..........." . With the V2 of the USB Lithium of the 2h and 3h cells. You're not just getting a 'Battery'. You're getting a 'portable power bank'. Since the USB-C 'Charging port' is also a USB-C OUTPUT port to charge other devices. So there is lot of usage for the batteries. Also the 2 battery power source from the heated cushion pad. Is only 5v at 3amps IE 15watts USB. Not to amazing. Sure 2 3ah cells would = 6000mah to charge a full cellphone like a samsung ultra phone or so. But it won't be very fast in terms of super charging like it would be at say 9volts at 3ah of 25watts+. And most other smaller/cheaper power banks would cost cheaper for a 6000mah size for usb C of 9-12volt output for 25-45watts+.
Same. I just hope they keep up with it. Though i'm not sure how far it'll go. Since it seems Ryobi started moving to the newer 21300 versions on their 18/40volt platforms vs the 18650cells. So it makes me wondering if they might do similar for the USB Lineup. Which would require a whole new lineup due to the thicker cell size. Though it would be cool because the 21300 would have lot more Battery capacity to the cells up to 5ah from a single cell. And it'd have lot more power with less heat generated compared to the standard 18650 version cells the USB line up uses right now. But then again the tools would also need to be slightly bigger to fit the newer thicker USB Cell system of the new 21300 cell size.
Biggest downfall to the USB lineup will be the lack of tool only sales. I have like 6 batteries already, please let me buy some of the more oddball tools like the 1/4th ratchet without a battery to save 20 bucks
think about when they were released .. right before Christmas. everyone is looking for a practical gift and if they already come with a battery it’s perfect. they’ll have tool-only’s available i’m sure. they sell the batteries separately already so i’m sure they’ll sell the tools by themselves at one point or another, even if it’s only online
If you are going to buy just one of them then I would highly recommend the random orbital sander. I reviewed a bunch of their different sanders that I bought and it is my fav of all of them. ruclips.net/video/CHiM7biut_g/видео.html
Most of your tools are not available in Alaska. It is a shame because they offer functionality I could use, and I have several of each type of battery you offer (i.e. the +/- 4v, 20v and 40v). I have asked the local vendors and all I get is a shrug. They do not even offer the ability to ship to Alaska, though they did in the past. Is there anyway to gain access to a wider variety of tools than simple drills and drivers?
Even if it charges 1 battery per slot at a time. You're charging 80% faster then what you would do using the built in USB-C port on the cells. So if you're charging 2hours via C-port. That's almost 1 and 40mins removed of time to take to charge the cells. So 20mins super charged. Not really a deal breaker for that.
In my opinion the charging block is a waste of money. Spend the money on a good decent USB C dock, like 100watts or so, and you’ll be able to charge all batteries at once faster than the charger from RYOBI. I tested it and it was about 20 minutes faster to charge all at once. The benefit is that you’re not locked into the battery shape. You can also use the usb dock to quick charge your phone, speakers, or whatever. Put the money towards a usb dock. Love this line. Makita 40v, Milwaukee m12, and now RYOBI USB lithium is my line up. Love the small portal compact tools from RYOBI.
@@Mushroomhaus0001 Uh what you talking about? 20mins faster with a usb C power station to charge the cells on the USB-C port? Or you talking about the 3cell battery dock and you comparing a USB-C dock to charge the cells faster then the 3cell dock? (Which is impossible since the USB-C ports are limited in current. IE 5volts around 1amp. on the USB Lithium cells.) The 3 cell port dock bypasses the USB C ports limitation chip on the head from the USB-C port. Because it uses the 4pins to provide power directly to the 18650cell inside the housing. Which can send faster charge into since it has no limitation to mess with. Since all the management system is on the charger itself to detect. Rather then inside the cell's head of the USB-C's board chip. Which is also why they can run faster power on the USB Lithium tool because the 4pins provide faster output then the USB-C port itself.
@@KillerRaptorrif you need to charge 3 batteries, it is faster to charge all 3 at once with usb c instead of doing 1 each consecutively with the charger. Test it out yourself if you want. Charging 1 battery is faster on the dock than using a cable (it isn’t even close to 80% faster, the marketing is wrong), but not by much. It’s the only scenario that the charger is worth it, is if literally all your batteries are dead and you need a single one right away. That’s why it’s not worth it to buy the charger. It’s a waste of money, because buying into a system that doesn’t do tool only sales means you’re going to have a ton of spare batteries.
Ryobi has everything but a compact hp impulse driver. Ryobi always boast about the whisper series but no quiet impulse driver. The Milwaukee surge is sweet. There's hardly any effort to drive fastners and will not strip the head of a fastner as fast as a impact driver. I want this tool to be on the market. Tti makes ryobi and Milwaukee so what gives. I got in the m12 line just because of the surge
They're hit and miss. I have many ryobi tools that have served me well for a long time, but all my actual "power" tools, drills, saws etc. are the red brand which are excellent but expensive.
They do. But their small compact versions are in the 12volt lineup. Ryobi is going smaller because Ryobi is more of a DiY company rather then a work place company like the other brands. Ryobi is more focus on unique tools but in simplified form. It's why their tools are also pretty 'basic' in terms of features. DIY'ers aren't into needing tools that are gonna take much beat break down as a jobsite sees. So power, etc isn't as high. It's still pretty surprising how Milwaukee's M12 lineup is in combo to their M18's. They seem to push the throat to power very largely with their tools.
Crazy that I didn’t know about these until now. Will be buying the cutters, scrubber, flashlight, and speakers!

Ryobi has a very nice USB Lithium lineup! It would be nice though if more of your products came with the 3.0 battery. 💚💛

You need to look for the specials, I could have got some 3.0s very cheap as part of a package deal when I bought my handheld vacuum.

Ryobi vegetable cutter for camping or regular kitchen use 👍 with different ways to cut vegetables
Not a Ryobi fan. However, this USB line has the potential to be pretty good. It'll be fun to see how far they take this tech.

I've got a lawnmower, several of your tools. The only thing I still may get is a sander. The question is which one.

I wished that 3 port charger didnt only charge one at a time.
Yeah, totally. I ended up buying a second one because of that.

Unfortunately the lithium stapler gun is not as powerful as advertised. T50 9/16 is too much for this toy
Niche power tools that don’t last. No thanks
