Games during this era are hard fought. Every team are dead serious getting a championship crown. As if they their dear life is at stake in every competition. Sixers was my fave team during this decade and it's really a sweet feeling for all of us to finally get a ring. The Doc deserves a championship just like Bird and Magic. He has finally proven that he belongs to their elite calibers.
I met moses Malone in 1983 at temple sports medicine in Philly, my friends thought I was lying until they saw mo cheeks,and Darryl Dawkins great guys I was like 14 years old.
I kind of thought Julius ERving should have been the NBA Championship MVP not just because the World wanted DR J to have the ring but after all he is the 76ers like Magic is the Lakers and Bird is the Celtics and Jordan is the Bulls
Dude Malone averaged 25 points a game and 18 rebounds in that series. Dominated Kareem, one of the best players of all time. Everybody loves Dr. J but there's no way you could give him the MVP over Malone in that series, no way.
I can never get enough of watching Dr. J highlights and also the 83 Sixers.
