I thought the only two who played with real effort in JVille state game consistently was Trent Pierce and Tony Perkins. Need way more than that if we are going to even win 1 game in the SEC
Mizzou is rebound averse. This is a tendency that I've seen Gates teams have since he's been the coach and it's like it's an effort thing it's almost like they're not being coached to anticipate a rebound or a carrom or even hustle to an area where the ball is going it's like they'll stand there and the other team was like okay you don't want it I'm going to get it and they are just okay with letting that happen. They remind me of mizzou's cornerbacks when it comes to interceptions They might be in position to get an interception yet they don't look for the ball to actually make a play on the ball like and I mean make a play on the ball to get the interception not just to knock it down and or just put your hand up and get in the way I don't know if that's coaching but it seems like very similar circumstances.
It's absolutely been an issue under Gates but part of it is very obvious; we leak out into transition much more aggressively and earlier than most teams, often with multiple players. So part of the reason we have been so dynamic in transition ties into it. But overall the lack of rebounding under Gates has been hard to figure out.
@dreigivetimpoolmassivewedg7646 I mean I get the transistion part of all but it's hard to transition when you don't have the ball. I've guys from the 1st year until now where it's multiple guys that either are out of place, fumble/fat finger or just don't aggressively go after the ball. It's nothing worst to see 2-3 guys standing around while the other teams 1 guy ends up with the board.

You're questioning this team's ability to win a single league game? Lololol

@manatarmsslaps I was agreeing with Ya, just pointing out our aggressive run outs are definitely partly why we struggle on the defensive glass
@@dreigivetimpoolmassivewedg7646 oh no disagreement on myvend either .. blame it on no emotion in texting 😆.. for sure
