Good amount of food there for the price! If you didn’t want to buy pastry for the quiches, you could line the tins with thin bacon, put your veggies and eggy mix in, and bake. Fewer carbs and you can freeze leftovers. I often make a crustless quiche in a big shallow Pyrex dish, wiped or sprayed with oil first. It cuts up beautifully and lasts for a few days.
Scotland too, they must open especially for Karen. You see the reductions are automatically applied via computerisation , so they are applied Nationally via Computerisation. From Carlisle , (Carlisle is a Superstore) and the Reductions are automatically applied on Saturday evenings, upwards Reductions are applied at 7 o clock / 1900 hours . At all Asdas except Karen’s who open at 6 or 7 am. On a Sunday morning . The other small Asdas like National Motor Stops , Scotch Corner , because the mainstay is a Petrol Station. So those types of Asdas sell a very limited amount of stock, more for Convenience shopping . Just like the A1 Convenience Petrol Station at Newton Aycliffe Interchange. So you won’t find such a wide range of different choice of products they are limited.
I used to buy Whiskas sometimes, as it came in both dry and wet if I recall. But now we don't have it in the states. Not sure what happened. Quiches are wonderful. Looks like a very nice shopping trip for a great price.
Add some caramelized onions to those quiches. And some herbs. If you have any some frozen ham you can also add that. Same if you have any courgettes . Quiches are great for bits and bobs that you have left over. I add a bit of milk to my batter to extend it a bit. In the future you can also make a frittata same principal as a quiche but no pastry.
Hi Karen- this tip won’t be for everyone but as a shifworker I can be having a break at 3am and if you are able to safely get to any 24 hour supermarket at that time the night shelf stackers are putting a lot of half priced meat etc out and hardly anyone is there buying it
I used to buy reduced food a lot, and was so grateful that I could do it. Also, it's better to sell it on the last day or two for reduced price than for stores to just trash it. Too much goes in the dumpster as it is for these stores.
Good haul! Wonderful idea freezing the milk!
Very versatile haul. Well done,. 😊
Blueberries at 44p wonderful. Good haul Karen.
I think you did really well. The cat food is, a hefty price on its own and that's a fair bit of meat for a tenner covering quite a lot of meals.
Posh sausages! Very impressed, but with the kg of chicken and beef olives, and cheese, thats a good lot of protein.
3:15 am here on the US east coast and I couldn't sleep and up pops up your early morning haul.
Gosh you were early!!
Looks like a smart haul, to me! You covered all the bases!❤
I miss my UK bargains. Rare to find anything here ... except for unsliced bread (and partner prefers sliced and I eat very little bread).
Good Morning 🌞

Thanks for that Corinne, I knew there was a reason I should have bought that bacon. Crustless quiche sounds like a great idea.
😊
Your on it Karen xx
That's pretty good.
Hi Karen! Great haul! 👏😁
It still suprises me in England as our big shops don’t open till 11 on Sundays well 10.30-11 for viewing only!

Thanks Claire, I know when the stores were 24hr, I would normally go for any large shopping at stupid o'clock in the morning for exactly that reason.
Hi Karen, RUclips is not letting me press the like button. Don't know if others are having this problem
mines ok
HI Interesting . What are beef olives? We don't have them in the shops here in Wales . Is it meat or olives ?
I’m interested in the answer
It is sausage meat wrapped in thin steak. A kind of sausage upgrade which is great as a casserole
@@primeofmidlife Sounds yummy . Thanks for replying x
Will you be doing a jam making video?
Please can you show us how to make jam x
when you think of it its tragic how were having to fish out reduced priced food because the gov are blissfully blind & greedy

@@yellowbird5411 I totally agree i work in a co op and luckily we do get a decent bit of reduced stuff that i buy
I've been buying reduced meat for many years even when prices were lower it's just a habit not a hardship
