We are up here in Wisconsin, and live in a oak savanna. Lots of bur oaks in the area, but not too many on our property. I have planted like 40 of them so-far, and am first getting acorns this year - on only three trees. Definitely not as big as that acorn though! I have several playlists on my channel for those who are interested.
I bought my Bur Oak tree when it was about 6 inches tall 5 years ago. It's now reached twelve feet tall! It grows very well in the red clay soil of western North Carolina.
Just planted a Bur oak and now can't wait to see those huge acorns. I've lived in Texas all of my life and have never seen one in person. Thanks for the quick video!
