If you had a deep dish tephlon coated skillet your sandwiches wouldn’t stick to the bottom of the pan so much and you don’t need as much oil. Your washing will use much less dish soap also. You can sometimes find used ones at Goodwills but I found mine at TJ Max for a cheap price.
Stay away from Teflon! I don't even think they make Teflon anymore, do they? There are several other safer non-stick fry pans. But you are right about less oil, water and dish soap with a non-stick pan.

Stainless steel with olive oil and make sure the pan is at a medium temperature not to hot or it will stick
