@@iqflash755 there are so many other factors that can affect your progression other than just your aim. However the most common thing I experience in diamond for an entire year is my movement, my indecisive decision making and panic aim. Just by changing a few habits and putting them into practice during comps has gotten me out of diamond for the first time. When you reach diamond, you're at a point where your aim is good enough to compete with asc or even immo players, but you lack the experience that they have. One way I've improved my movement is by watching woohoojin's movement guides. It's very useful to get you to understand the basics of movement. Even when you're at mid-high elo, people still don't understand how movement works because they've just been autopiloting and making it work without knowing what they did that impacted their performance. For decision making I just watched pro vods and woohoojin vods. It got to me that I was always scared of making the wrong decision that I end up throwing rounds away because I get lost in thought and get distracted. If you want to do something creative and unusual, go for it. 8 times out of 10 it'll work out if you're confident in your aim and movement, because you can make your 50/50 fights turn into 55/45 with just confidence alone. But be wary as doing it too many times makes you predictable and enemies will anticipate your actions. But you have to know the right time to do it. Sounds counter intuitive but you'll understand once you try them enough. With panic aim it's more about flicking too much when you don't need to because you had bad placement or because you weren't expect a fight. Flicking too much is just something you have to practice in the range and by watching how pros aim (I recommend demon1 since he's the type of guy that will always wait till his crosshair is at the enemies' head before shooting the first bullet). You need to remember that enemies can use any angle to their advantage when taking a fight, mostly unusual angles - hence off angles. The higher you climb the more you'll realize how powerful off angles are, so you need to prepare yourself for a fight when taking space. There are lots of common off angles you can pre aim which you can find just from going on youtube or from experience. Never be lazy to clear angles, always fully clear them and expecting a fight.
This is incredibly effective! It took practice in the skill test and bomb practices in the Range to get ready, but then first DM was a massive improvement. (among the other things it did was force me to take the "free" silent side-steps to A D - so much to learn still) Thank you!
When I was practicing my awful crosshair placement, I'd always pick up the guardian and bind the relod to left click, if I shoot and miss I reload if i kill then the reload animation is cancelled because that's how dm works. Maybe it's pretty weird and not a suitable way to learning crosshair placement, but it helped me a lot and I noticed improvements quite fast.

I play controller, but the pathing, micro timing, coordination, and specificity of calls are things I didn’t actively think about until I started watching these. Super helpful
I do have a genuine question about peeking. At 14:34, right before you peek platform to clear it, you opt to get closer to the wall before peeking, why is that? I’ve watched way too many videos that suggest that peeking closer to the wall is worse due to angle perception (ie the enemy sees you before you see them), and that it should only really be used when wide swinging for the speed. Also, in this very example, if there was an enemy holding garage from platform, would you have jiggled him like you did or you would have stopped and fired on that same peek? I’ve watched your other video where you duel gold players on long c, but even then I’m still left unsure of what the proper way of taking fights is.
he is just strafing to get info/take a quick shot and not actually commit. and the closer you are to the wall, the faster you appear for your opponent, so the chances of you dying while peeking are smaller.
I'm almost certain the jiggle peak is mainly for info everytime he swings it's usually slight diagonally (without pressing w) by pressing a or d. I've started doing this and I'm winning more fights too.
The reason he gets close to swing is that no matter how far he goes back, he always loses in angle advantage. There will be angles like that where it's physically impossible to have angle advantage on the person holding you In those cases, it's best to wide swing it. So basically when you have a big angle advantage it's always better to slice the pie or even shift peek in some cases. If the angle advantage is small either player, it won't really matter if you take the time to get further from the wall. If the person holding has a big angle advantage, then you should wide swing because if you try to slice the pie, they'll see you before you see them
Hi I like your videos. They help me to understand the game more! Btw, in case you don't know, you can press , and . to traverse frame by frame while paused
At 4:58 , is it not plausible to hold onto the dash because all the close angles were cleared by fade eye? Seeing as the point of dashing is to divert their attention for your team, making space. If he saves the dash he can clear backsite safer with the option to dash back to his team. What are your thoughts on this?
Maybe holding the dash was fine but Jett pathing was really bad. He shouldve followed the prowler logs and be ready to use dash if he messes up the peek.
Only using A/D is better than diagonal movement because you're moving faster horizontally, making you harder to hit by the opponent you're peeking. Woohoojin have a good graph showing how this works, but I forgot which video is it in.
