Hes an collegiate wrestler division 1, Olympian wrestler, Bellator Champ, One Championship Champ, UFC fighter and also professional disc golfer. He has achieved much as he can, why the fuck would he care about fighting Jake Paul? If you followed Ben, he was always a great competitor but in his later years after he retired the first time from One FC, he already had I don't give a fuck attitude because he was retired already... So when UFC gave him an opportunity after he was traded from One FC for Demetrious Johnson, he knew he only had short period of window to make a title run at UFC. He tried (he didn't really need to, his honest personality + great trash talking skills and non caring attitude really resonated with MMA fans and it ultimately led UFC to make him a contender right away) didn't make it due to flying knee from Masvidal and then loses another fight against Damian Maia and retires. Then he moves on to just making his own wrestling academy to teach younger kids wrestling, does his own podcasts on cryptocurrency and mma. So what did he actually gain from taking the fight with Jake Paul? $1M dollar is the answer. He barely trained and didn't give two shits and took the money and prob invested more on his academy or cryptocurrency or buy a new house. Do we really think he really wanted win? YES I do think so and he prob thought he was going to beat him with ease but do you really think he had the same motivation and mindset as he did when he was an olympian or any of his title runs in other MMA organization? FUCK NO. He didn't even know who Jake Paul really was when he even signed on to fight him... like WHAT other than the guaranteed money did he need from this fight? NOTHING other than $$ its just so fucking logical. What I think you don't understand about Ben is that he cares about other things in his life. He always talks about wrestling academy and that's what he cares about, helping kids do better in wrestling and giving them knowledge so kids can stay out of trouble and become a good wrestler like he was. Ben Askren is a living proof that Clout doesn't mean shit in life, Ben has always been winning in life and will continue to do so even after Jake Paul's embarrassing KO because he isn't insecure like these 90 percent of social media stars who think Clout, Clicks, Subs, Follows, and Likes are the only thing that matters in life.
