@@duelistemperor4425 Card of Demise didn't stop you, and True Draco Heritage would have let you draw 2 more cards if you didn't destroy it. IMO a more optimal play would be: 1. You destroyed True Kings Return for the Draconic Diagram search. 2. You used Disciples of the Dracophoenix effect and tribute itself off for your tribute summon. 3. Use Heritage effect to draw cards equal to the different true Draco/King card types sent to the graveyard. In this case it was a spell and trap, so 2 draws. This play allows you to dig deeper for more flood gates or True Draco monsters, while also leaving you another 2 tribute summons if you did get a monster. I have yapped long enough, thanks for the replays. 👍
Man, I love this deck. But also, man, does the banned Demise and limited Duality still hurt. Competitive or not, I'm glad I get to see my favorite pet deck getting its tools back, and I think it's still a perfectly competent strategy.
