Educating children is only tetraty goal for School system. Primary goal is to take care of kids when parents are at work. Secondary goal is to instill conformity, subordination and politacal correctness.
I am all for the kid-sitting service as parents really do need it. I am also for the education of children on the perspective of how they fit into society (conformity, subordination and political correctness) but what if we added a few other things that we all need and wish we learned while we were there? What needs to change? where does it start? how do we help the system change?
Favor private services. Seriously! Private services beat public services every time. Misses Institute has the most publications why public services don't work. It's easier said than done though. The whole system needs to be shaken to break government monopoly on education. And here comes secondary goal of school system. It's chicken and egg problem. Who should disrupt the system if majority has been programmed to conform?
