Today we get up early and head to the train station to keep our Vietnam Adventures going. We head to Ninh Binh which is only a 2 hour journey away by train, the Vibe in Ninh Binh is much different to that of Hanoi as it is so much quieter.

We are Jason and Jordan and we have been a couple for the last 6 years, after living together for almost the same amount of time, this year 2023, we have decided to make a serious life change, and have decided to sell all of our belongings, move out of our house and explore the world. The train tickets cost 400,000 dong?! One-way?! A 1 day tour from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, all transportation covered, tour guide and lunch is only like 1M per person. Not that everyone wants a guided tour, but I expected the train to be much cheaper.

How did you get on with bags? Plenty of room to store on the train
Hi mate, Yeah loads of room on the train - They do say there is a baggage limit which I am unsure of at the moment but no one checked and are bags went in nicely. We booked the seats at the end of the carriage ( there is a little space behind the seat) and when you reclined your seat it mean't that no one could easily take your bags whilst you were sleeping, so it made it a bit easier to go to sleep for us.
Hanoi Train Station is called 'Weed Shop Station' by Vietnamese people.

We went to we went to Ninh Binh and back in 2011 from Hanoi by mini bus. The traffic was horrific and the drive scary. We are going back in March 2023. After seeing your video we will go by train. Thank you. I can’t find the link to the homestay.
