I heard this song so many years ago but for years could not remember the name of the group, although I had it on a tape. But thank's to the beauty of RUclips and people like you, I found this "old" track once again, Thanks for posting and sharing and bringing a touch of joy back into my life :-) (1985, wow, where has the time gone!!! along with my youth ;-) )
Good and happy days, so true. It seems odd that I will qualify for saga holidays soon!!! when I still feel so young ;-) . The singer was Andy Polaris, Limahl was from Kajagoogoo. For years I thought this track was by "Swans Way" a local band from Birmingham, I have no idea why I thought that, ah, wasted alcohol infused nights in the darkened vaults of the Rum Runner, I guess :-).
Sorry I ment to ask do you like Basia? she used to be in Matt Bianco but had her own career for a while, late 80's I think, also a group called Working Week - sort of Jazz if I remember. I had most of the music on tape and, yes you've guessed it, tape is history and most of of mine are dust. Not sure where my vinyl is - mother!
A chap. Perhaps wasted youth is more fitting. The Rum Runner was a night club in Birmingham, that used to play decent music (not middle of the road). Famous I guess for it's links with Duran Duran.

Absolutely great song!
Beautiful sound...👏
Awesome! Thanks!
Yes, a more laid back sound but very good music. I went to see them live in Brum once, really mellow but such a good sound.
excellent
Go on dad!
