    One of the many things I love about Oingo Boingo is Danny tends to stick to a range that I can, mostly, sing along to without straining. "No One Lives Forever" is mostly about being able to sing... kinda fast I guess? There's no real high notes, the lows aren't too deep, it's just darn fun to sing along to =)

    You should do a set of all the "event singalong" songs that people like (bus trip rides, karaoke, etc). Things like Come on Eileen, Don't Stop Believing, and other cheesy songs everyone attempts to sing together.

    Thing about Paul that I think makes it seem like that is melody is so interictal to his work. Also I wonder if he ever just breaks into a song for his cat. Our old Siamese Lily use to love having things drummed on her side, so I'd sing Daniel for her while attempting the beat. If I ever met Elton John, I'd have to tell him that was our cat's favorite song. My current meezer doesn't like that so I sometimes just randomly sing songs for her while petting her.

    Bother is such an easy song to sing, but god, it makes me depressed every time I hear it

    • @Broadpaw_Fox
      @Broadpaw_Fox 3 года назад

      Really?? For me it's the opposite. I tend to listen to things like that when it gets really bad... it's the anti suicide music for me. I'm not the type to actually attempt suicide, but I have lived with that level of depression for a long time (being pissed when I wake up _that_ I woke up, for instance). The "darker" music gets it out and points out that there is still reason to live... and so I go on.
      Music has saved me so much...pain. the catharsis of letting it out, I think is how it works with me.
      Hoping no one else feels like this - may everyone have plenty to feel good about in their days. :)

    Pretty much anything by Katatonia starting 2006. Jonas Renkse has a very soft and calming voice and makes it work regardless of the limited range and damage it had taken in the 90-s. The song My Twin is a good example, or Lacquer from their latest album.

    • @kugelblitzingularity304

      Am guessing Chester's stuff is just fine when you dont add distortion. Also you must have slightly higher natural range or trained a bit.

    • @LRM12o8
      @LRM12o8 3 года назад

      I too find many of Chester's songs not that hard, but he can go really high up, like in Breaking The Habit, The Catalyst, Final Maskerade, or of course his absolute highlights: She Couldn't, Pictureboard and the Rolling In The Deep cover!
      Conversely, when I sang Leave Out All The Rest once, I was surprised how low it goes in the verses. Chester had a remarkable range, for sure!

    • @MultiKamil97
      @MultiKamil97 3 года назад +1

      It kinda depends. If you have a lower voice (like me, for example) then Linkin Park's songs are quite difficult. Especially those that go higher than G4 like Given Up, Burn It Down, Waiting For The End, The Messenger, Lying To You, Lies Greed Misery or The Little Things Give You Away. Even without distortion those are pretty hard. There are songs though that are fairly easy to sing like Shadow Of The Day, Not Alone, Crawling, Heavy, Nobody Can Save Me or Sharp Edges.
