Hard to believe how much hate the BCS got. Despite the fact that they actually got it right in the final year, and just 1 year later, the new committee screws it up on their first go.
they got it right this year.. the playoff worked out and the 4th seed won, someone was gonna get left out, and at the time of the selection, baylor had a better reason to be angry than TCU fans
Jesse Vick He's correct, whether a homer or not, OSU deserved to be in the playoff. They won the national championship and proved that they were, "undisputed national champs."
TCU sitting at number 3 deserved to be in and not drop down to 6. If TCU did not deserve to make it then why put them at number 3 to begin with. Had TCU gotten it it would have been an easy path to victory. Keep in mind ole miss beat alabama.......yeah. Sayuing Ohio state is undisputed champions is like saying Auburn in 2011 were undisputed champions with an undefeated TCU in second. Absolute bias.
Michael Jennings I'd say there's hope for you yet, I'm a TCU student and fan, but I keep telling my friends and family I see a real upswing there in Stillwater, and that I think in the next couple of years they'll become a real contender for the Big 12 prize. Something about that Rudolph guy gives me a good feeling. I think they might shock some people this year by being a strong 3rd to TCU and our uhm "friends" down in Waco, and in a few years, may be contesting the championship. Man I wish the Big 12 had a championship game.
Michael Jennings Nah, Oklahoma state has got a chance against TCU. In fact, OU will probably beat them in Norman, and of course Baylor is stacked on offense and they're defense is THE best in the big12 for 2015 which is surprising lol. OSU can put the pressure on a team with too much hype. They're so overrated its not even funny. Sports analysis have them as the luckiest team in CFB. You're talking about the team who almost lost to kansas lol. Technically they're not as good of a team as last year while the rest of the Big12 has improved a lot this off-season, I see a 9-3 season for them and the same for Oklahoma st.
+JorJor812 I would caution you to wait for the season to start before you decide whose defense will be best. Gary Patterson is always able to put forward a solid defense, despite how many stars he loses on that side of the ball. I don't think they'll lose to Oklahoma (I'm honestly more worried about the Minnesota game). I don't think Baylor will be such a bear (see what I did there?) when they aren't in Waco. And while I voiced my pro Ok State opinion before, I would be surprised if they gave us much trouble this year, and that whole "gives overhyped teams trouble" thing you said didn't stop TCU this last year. But all of this is hard to tell before the season begins.
+RawkFist357 Baylor had no depth last season and two missing starters due to injury...this year they have 4 potential 1st round picks on defense and an actual secondary haha. I think those guys are going to be their secret weapon. Patterson is good with defenses but technically if the defense is not as good this season and you play teams like Baylor or OU they will outscore you guys unless your offense is off the charts and the luck is still there. How can you explain Kansas? I can see Baylor vs Tech being pretty bad but they were up most the game and defense had been bad the whole year for them. If Boykin isn't like last season, it's mediocre for your offense. Everyone's going to be extra prepared for TCU unlike last season.
yep TCU i think is going to surprise people this year, i think they might win it all, and no im not a TCU fan at all lol. TCU should have been ahead of florida state in the playoff, florida state blew.... barely won like 6 of their games
Upon further review, this wasn't that great of a win. Ole Miss lost 3 games before this game which includes a 0-30 drubbing at the hands of a 7-6 Arkansas team. Ole Miss was 51st in total offense and 13th in defense.
Ole Miss is an SEC West team, and most people are in love with SEC West teams. TCU exposed how bad Ole Miss really was on national TV. They just got lucky in most of their games. Go Frogs 🐸👌🏻
Greg Johannsen Disagree, college football is a sport where EVERY game matters unlike college basketball. Slip-up once and you face a clouded future. The playoff system was made for undefeated teams that couldn't get slack from the bcs, if they keep extending the playoff, then no one will watch the season just like college basketball.
+spursfan746 college basketball is a different animal. and March madness is still very much alive. I never watch basketball though... unless I'm in a bracket pool..
+spursfan746 Not true. Put in conference champions from EVERy conference. As it's set up now, only big name conferences can be represented. I think there's a FEAR of smaller conference capabilities. Look at TCU here, or versus Wisconsin. Boise State vs Oklahoma. Or Utah versus Alabama. Why couldn't an undefeated Temple (for example) get into the playoffs. It'd surely be a much bigger revenue raising venture. Then fans from Coast to Coast would watch to see their teams play. It could be HUGE!!
Nonpeon It wouldn't be huge. I remember Georgia played a 12-0 Hawaii team in the Sugar Bowl. Georgia was bullshitting while everyone was dropping like flies during the "Year of the Upsets". That year could've been Georgias year because we fucked up in Columbia and let those shitty ass Volunteers beat us for some damn reason and then we let it loose on Hawaii hanging 40 on them and then finish 2 in the polls behind LSU.
My favorite football game ever this tcu team should have made the playoffs they got fxx screwed not sure of.they would have beat ohio state seeing after the fact i had them ahead of them they were ranked 4. They would have killed Florida state and i think they wpulf have beat Oregon i think baylor was a top 4 team it shpuld have been Alabama ohio state tcu and Baylor or Oregon tough one. Baylor wpuld have killed florida state topo they were just undefeated but they kept barley winning every game that ywar and also notre dsme that year should have won that game stupid refs called the catch not a catch
Yes TCU was loaded, but who exactly were you going to leave out? Are you really going to leave out an undefeated defending national champions? The other three teams all had to win an additional conference championship game to boost their resume. Really the only team that you could have left out and made a good case for was Ohio State. Still on balance I think the committee got the right 4 in. note: I still don't like the committee. I actually like the idea of bringing back the BCS to decide the top 4.
when the SEC stops cancelling games and using ESecPN money to buy out of those games, writing checks for guaranteed w's vs FCS and Div II schools, trying to crowbar 3 teams into the playoff s with an unproven strength of schedule, then maybe.
That could’ve been the reason TCU didn’t get in because they lost to Baylor and they had to share the title with Baylor because the Big 12 didn’t have a conference championship game at the time, TCU would’ve won on a neutral field and then they would’ve made the playoff
RebelEdits Wisconsin and Big10 folks laughed and disregarded TCU before TCU beat the Badgers in the Rose Bowl as well. I think if anyone laughs at or disregards TCU in the near future it's a sign they don't have a clue about football.
+mavfan1 it's you that doesn't have a clue. Wisconsin was a sub for an undefeated Ohio state team that year. over tattoos? or because they beat the shit out of an SEC team the previous year? you tell me..
These guys should have NO DOUBT been in the College Football Playoffs, but they wouldn't have won. So I think the CFP was success as far as determining the real National Champions, but not in creating the best possible matchups
Angry Eagles Fan Don't know what bearing that has on the fact that the Frogs would have beaten any team in the playoffs. How would YOU take a 12 gauge? LOL!
To the people who think this means they should've been in the playoff: Ole Miss had a makeshift offensive line and injured receivers, which allowed TCU to get pressure and made moving the ball nearly impossible. The lack of possession made the defense play many downs, and a tired defense always plays poorly. Remember what happened when TCU played a team that could pass protect. They gave up 61 points to Baylor. Alabama, Ohio State, and Oregon were all better than TCU. Florida State was worse, but Florida State won its conference. Next time, don't Blow a 21 point lead in 11 minutes and you'll be in the playoffs.
tcu should've taken care of business for not letting baylor off the hook during that year. It's still doesn't change the fact that they flat out dominated ole miss... Remember, nobody expected tcu winning by a huge margin despite being a 4 point favorite.
@Truth Hurts Name some specifics, smart guy. Tell me exactly which part of my comment is wrong. You can't because it wasn't wrong. And Boykin looked bad in this game too. Keep being a salty moron.
"Everytime we play a non-conference game the opposing team tries to prove the SEC is overrated" well we'll put a check mark next to the overrated column and with the Tunsil incident I will be glad to see what violations the NCAA can dig up on Ole Miss because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out there were some hundred dollar handshakes going on with most of those recruits. Tunsil's stepdad will get it all out in the light. All he needed to do is crack the door and now that it has happened we're just waiting for the NCAA to kick it in Cops style. You don't go from doormat to top 5 recruiting classes just because Hugh Freeze is a "good guy" and when it comes out I reckon they will say he was a generous guy as well.... wink wink... ; )
Land Sharts.... Can't get enough of watching an overrated SEC team get beat down like they were a middle school team. TCU deserved to play a real opponent not some bottom feeder wannabe SEC Elite team. O well, best of luck next year frogs(Unless you're playing Clemson!)
BS! TCU plays that Minnesota game in November and they lose it. Lord, please let TCU be there this year come selection time. Amen. -The Ohio state buckeyes.
+SGobuck Well we aren't the same team at all now, we lost a lot of key players on defense and were injured all over the offensive side of the ball right now too. You got lucky we didn't play ya'll last year or you would have received a biblical beat down buddy.
SGobuck Do they not teach reading up there in Ohio, you fucking dumbass? I just said we aren't the same team as last year, we don't have a defense now, we had many starters leave for the draft and graduate. You're lucky we didn't meet last year or you would have got your ass whooped (see video for evidence).
Money! The playoff committee was set up by the same people who set up the BCS and therefore has the same SEC bias. Knowing TCU was a very bad matchup for Alabama and having fear of a little Christian school with a small fan base advancing to the championship, TCU was dropped from #3 to out of the playoff picture despite winning their final regular season game 52-3.
TCU's schedule is so easy compared to other teams! It's the Big 12 for crying out loud. 2013 they were a team that struggled. 2014 they have a lucky win with OU and suddenly they deserve something. 2015 their hardest games are OU and Baylor. You people are in denial if you think the Big 12...you know what this is pointless. It's not a statement win. They beat an SEC team that had been beat up games prior but alright.
Minnesota? Texas Tech? OK ST? Kansas State? Oklahoma? Baylor? Even Kansas! Those games didn't look easy to me. Big 12 is where real football is played. The only good SEC teams are Bama, Clemson and LSU. All 3 are still overrated though lol
TCU should have been in playoff they got screwd same with Baylor both of them would have beaten Florida state and prolly eragon cause of thR one loss to Baylor which TCU should have won they might have beaten ohio st or Alabama that year they got screwd rhe would have destroyed Florida st just like eragon beat them
+PewPewBangBang Nah, FSU should've been left out. I know I'm biased, but Alabama was within a touchdown of beating the national champion who pounded Oregon by 22. I honestly think if FSU were left out it would've been TCU vs Ohio State in the natty. And my what a game that would've been.
And this, this RIGHT HERE, is the reason why TCU is playing Michigan in the playoffs this year. They were cheated out of the playoffs in 2014, mutilated Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl, and now the Playoff Committee is trying to compensate for what happened 8 years ago, which is DUMB DUMD DUMB. TCU lost to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship game, so they DON'T DESERVE to be in the playoffs. The team in this video, however, DID deserve to be in the playoffs.

Jason Cheng Who invited this OSU homer.....
Jesse Vick It should also be noted that Ohio State went on to win its conference championship 59-0. I think they got it right. No disrespect to TCU.
How fast things change. Patterson and TCU were the hottest things in FBS. Patterson is gone, and TCU is rebuilding.
I'd say they've had a pretty good rebuild
Did anyone see the frog get punched by someone? 33:46 (WATCH THE FROG)
I'm a Oklahoma State fan and I shit myself thinking of our matchup this year with TCU
Michael Jennings lol
Everyone's going to be extra prepared for TCU unlike last season.
unlike the rebellion in star wars. The Ole Miss rebels had no hope
Your right how did fsu make the playoffs
This loss is on the offense. You can’t play a better game then what the defense has done. It don’t matter if the offense sucks.
yep TCU i think is going to surprise people this year, i think they might win it all, and no im not a TCU fan at all lol. TCU should have been ahead of florida state in the playoff, florida state blew.... barely won like 6 of their games
God, what a massacare.
hey! that boykin looks like JT Barrett running.
I think we could simulate this in practice...
+SGobuck but who will spin move to simulate Xbrax1 for TCU?
Oh how far TCU has fallen.
They're a year away
True. But the only game I went to was the Baylor game. They looked pretty good in that one.
Upon further review, this wasn't that great of a win. Ole Miss lost 3 games before this game which includes a 0-30 drubbing at the hands of a 7-6 Arkansas team. Ole Miss was 51st in total offense and 13th in defense.
***** Hot take.
Ole Miss is an SEC West team, and most people are in love with SEC West teams. TCU exposed how bad Ole Miss really was on national TV. They just got lucky in most of their games. Go Frogs 🐸👌🏻
bo wallace’s final game at ole miss
A 5 team playoff (with a March Madness type Play-in game between the #4 and 5 seeds) is the ONLY other realistic option right now
Greg Johannsen Disagree, college football is a sport where EVERY game matters unlike college basketball.
+spursfan746
Not true.
Oregon.
That could’ve been the reason TCU didn’t get in because they lost to Baylor and they had to share the title with Baylor because the Big 12 didn’t have a conference championship game at the time, TCU would’ve won on a neutral field and then they would’ve made the playoff
TCU got f#%*ed out of the NC game.
Huge Ole Miss fan but we got our ass whooped. No argument there.
RebelEdits The way TCU's defense played in this game, they would have beaten any of the four teams that made the four team playoff.
12106445 So true. Everyone laughed and disregarded them. They were a damn good football team. They came to win and they did what they came for.
I would love to see a true playoff like FCS Universities do. I hope one day that a team never expected to win, wins it all.
41:11
Boykin: *WOOP* Gotcha Bitch!!!
These guys should have NO DOUBT been in the College Football Playoffs, but they wouldn't have won. So I think the CFP was success as far as determining the real National Champions, but not in creating the best possible matchups
Blagaflaga WTF!! Why wouldn't they have won? Please splain...
Nonpeon It's real simple son. You ever shot a frog with a 12 gauge?
Charlie Green But Frogs eat BUCKEYES. it's a natural thing, you see. LoL!!
Nonpeon But how well does a frog take a 12 gauge?
Angry Eagles Fan Don't know what bearing that has on the fact that the Frogs would have beaten any team in the playoffs. How would YOU take a 12 gauge? LOL!
Then the teams in the sec
good game
TCU got fucking ripped off now they are struggling to get quality players.
Ole miss could have done better like wat they did with boise
1:48:00
Every one thinks the frogs suck but they r better then alot of themselves in the sec...90 percent of them
To the people who think this means they should've been in the playoff:
Ole Miss had a makeshift offensive line and injured receivers, which allowed TCU to get pressure and made moving the ball nearly impossible.
C-A-T-S Cats! Cats! Cats! That’s just wrong
@Truth Hurts Name some specifics, smart guy. Tell me exactly which part of my comment is wrong. You can't because it wasn't wrong. And Boykin looked bad in this game too. Keep being a salty moron.
Harris Jessica Perez Edward Clark Kevin
33:53 😂😂😂 don't reach
ROLL TOAD!
LMFAOOOO
+SupaKawazu call us when TCU has a defense. and don't talk to us about injuries. Ohio state had 14 starters out of the championship games.
SGobuck
Do they not teach reading up there in Ohio, you fucking dumbass? I just said we aren't the same team as last year, we don't have a defense now, we had many starters leave for the draft and graduate. You're lucky we didn't meet last year or you would have got your ass whooped (see video for evidence).
How the hell did FSU make the playoffs but TCU didn't?
TCU would've smoked 'bama, just like they did Ole Miss (who beat bama).
Fsu was undefeated so u have to give them the spot automatically but Ohio st should not have made it over tcu
Big Ten bias*
Blake there beter
TCU's schedule is so easy compared to other teams! It's the Big 12 for crying out loud. 2013 they were a team that struggled. 2014 they have a lucky win with OU and suddenly they deserve something. 2015 their hardest games are OU and Baylor. You people are in denial if you think the Big 12...you know what this is pointless. It's not a statement win. They beat an SEC team that had been beat up games prior but alright.
..but nobody was laughing at TCU.
+EVERYSECOND Excuses excuses excuses. TCU beat their ass, period.
Minnesota? Texas Tech? OK ST? Kansas State? Oklahoma? Baylor? Even Kansas! Those games didn't look easy to me. Big 12 is where real football is played. The only good SEC teams are Bama, Clemson and LSU. All 3 are still overrated though lol
+Blake Clemson is acc......
TCU struggled in 2013 because they were a freshman team and didn't have the mix of veterans other teams normally have.
Go frogs
They were robbed
TCU should have been in playoff they got screwd same with Baylor both of them would have beaten Florida state and prolly eragon cause of thR one loss to Baylor which TCU should have won they might have beaten ohio st or Alabama that year they got screwd rhe would have destroyed Florida st just like eragon beat them
Alabama should have been left out of last years playoff.
You mean the same Alabama that played a much better game against the championship team in 2014 and that won it in 2015?
Quit drinking the haterade.
+Barry White it's about matchup... Oregon would have fared well against bammer compare to ohio state in 2014...
I can't believe Oklahoma almost beat this team IN Fort Worth.!Boomer!
If it was later in the year we would have beat yalls ass
And this, this RIGHT HERE, is the reason why TCU is playing Michigan in the playoffs this year. They were cheated out of the playoffs in 2014, mutilated Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl, and now the Playoff Committee is trying to compensate for what happened 8 years ago, which is DUMB DUMD DUMB. TCU lost to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship game, so they DON'T DESERVE to be in the playoffs. The team in this video, however, DID deserve to be in the playoffs.
