    Both my daughter and I had our blood test done a few weeks ago. My daughter has been vegan since birth I've been vegan since 10 years old (now 42) Our results and body weight are superb and the doctor could not believe it. I love this lifestyle and stand by it 110% The fact that you (Christina) are raw vegan and not related to me :) just proves it works if done right. A balance diet is a must for optimum health. I hope that people will incorporate more fruits and veggies into their diet if they choose not to go vegan. This will at least help cut their chances of some illness. God bless and I hope others can learn from this video.

    I recently had blood work done as well 10 days after you. I've been vegan for 2 years (except for cheese when we go out) and I do eat some cooked food, at least one meal a day. My bloodtest results were very close to yours!!! I'm happy! Congrats!

    Wow this is awesome! I have been vegetarian for over 4 years and I have recently quit dairy. Like on Monday. So all that's left is eggs. I think eventually I will be vegan. Thanks for doing this and posting it publicly. What a great doctor too!

      just make sure you eat pasture raised eggs which are high in omega 3 regular eggs are high in omega 6 which causes inflammation

    Amazing results! Don't listen to the naysayers. My tris are 131, total cholesterol 112.5, B12 normal, amazing blood pressure and pulse at 45 years old on a starch-based low fat no oil diet.

    Kristina gives way better advise than that banana girl freeley on RUclips. Also doesn't talk down or judge people who aren't vegan unlike that other girl. You're a wonderful person Kristina. I love your videos even though I'm not vegan but still use your recipes to lean up a little. Keep up the good work!

      wow - so many likes - i want to give a quick shout out to everyone who is not only fighting against their old eating habits but is also experiencing rejection and discouragement from friends and family. people don't like changes and most of the time they fear what they don't understand. it takes a lot of passion and courage to choose a new path but in the end it will be worth it! so let's stick to the things that make us feel good, strong, healthy, beautiful and happy and help the people around us choose curiosity instead of fear!

      You are so right! I went vegan in 2014 and I just had my blood testet a few weeks ago and it turned out that I don't need to supplement with Vitamin B12 as much (for whatever reason) as I thought. So now I only take it twice per week and I'm fine. Every body responds differently and so I totally agree with you - just because this works for Kristina does not mean it's gonna work for all people in the same way.

    See 6:08. Two of the most important things to look for in your blood work are the triglycerides and the ratio of triglycerides to HDL cholesterol. Her triglycerides is 210, which should be under 150. Moreover, the trig/HDL ratio should be less than 2:1. But her ratio is 210:43 = 4.88:1 Which is dangerously high.

    For those who are asking, my triglycerides are OK. They show high but that's because eating any carbs (especially fruits after you have gone some hours without eating) makes triglycerides go up. Given my perfect cholesterol levels it is nothing to worry about. Any food that had carbs will mobilize fat. Vegans often will test high in TG but have far less risk of heart disease.

      But didn't you get your blood drawn while you were fasting for at least 8 hours? That's how you're supposed to do it. My trigs are awesome (80) and I eat lots of carbs too, but fasted the night before and had blood drawn that morning.

      ***** This diet is not for every metabolic type, but it is for many people. It clearly rids people of their health problems, so it seems worth a shot. And when I say that other people who are judging this lifestyle should show their complete metabolic panel, it's because people can Monday night quarterback something all they want from the sidelines without any experience or credibility to back it up. Their perspective is irrelevant unless they can prove they know what they're talking about and not just being another ignorant judgmental commenter.

      I enjoy an uncooked plant based, vegan diet; and my triglycerides were ridiculously low! And so were that of my partner who basically follows a similar dietary pattern.

      Jazmin Contreras 41 for Vit D is low. It controls the immune system. Around 80 is good.

      Hi Kristina :) you are such a inspiration! I ve given up dairy, gluten and processed foods like 4 years ago...but i still ate a little meat ( ca. once a week) and ocaisonaly eggs.I felt good just not great..half a year ago i became vegan and during the summer i was mostly raw..I had my BLOOD TESTED and everything is GREAT even B12 (without supplement). Im deffinitely keeping it up :) Greetings from Slovakia :*

      deiysa Vit B12 test may not work since green vegetables may make the test be high, but the person may be really low in Vit B12. Green vegetables have analogs of Vit B12 but they may not help the same as the animal sources of Vit B12. I was crashing in Vit B12....destroyed my brain. I am only ok due to the Vit B12 methylcobalamin shot daily. Best wishes.

    huh. my iron level was 9 and some days i feel like i can't get out of bed. At my university they require their athletes to be at a 12 to compete. So yes I am anemic, and I'm surprised this doctor said she wasn't.

      I know. I'm anemic and my ferritin is higher than hers...I have found a lot of doctors don't know a lot about anemia or how to diagnose and treat it. Normal lab results don't really mean much.

      tumba lone I don't buy supplements from my doctor or a pharmacy. Have you ever had anemia? Do you know anything about it even? Like wow, people can die from it you idiot. Where I live supplements are not sold by doctors, nor are they covered by any insurance.

      Her iron is borderline. The high total iron binding capacity combined with low range ferritin indicates iron insufficiency. Iron serum levels are unreliable and physicians are taught that ferritin (along with other values measured in an iron profile) is the more significant value. Her rdw was also increased which indicates the beginnings of a deficiency (basically it means it's just beginning to change the size of the red blood cells), it's all complicated medical speak from there so I'll save everyone explanations of the finer details. Iron is very rich in leafy greens like spinach but it's less bioavailable than the heme form of iron present in meat source and therefore vegans and vegetarians are especially susceptible to having low levels. Source: I study medicine.

    Hi Kristina,
    Kudos for sharing your blood test results. You are very young and your test results are good overall; however, there are a few things you should be aware of:
    Commonly, people with high triglycerides have a tendency to have low HDL "good" cholesterol levels. HDL is the good cholesterol which has a protective effect against cardiovascular disease. Epidemiological studies have shown that high concentrations of HDL (over 60 mg/dL) have protective value against cardiovascular diseases such as ischemic stroke and myocardial infarction. Low concentrations of HDL (below 40 mg/dL for men, below 50 mg/dL for women) increase the risk for atherosclerotic diseases. This is something I'm sure you'll discuss with the doctor who conducted your blood work. Since you are very young, you may not consider this as a cause for concern at present, but you should keep track of this as time goes on.
    The negative impact of high triglycerides and low HDL is cumulative over time. The triglyceride/HDL "good" cholesterol ratio should be below 2. Just remember to divide your triglyceride levels by your HDL "good" cholesterol. In a nutshell the triglyceride/HDL level which is considered ideal is 2 or less; 4 is high and 6 or greater is considered too high. In this case it is better to have a lower ratio. The lower your triglycerides or the higher your HDL, the smaller the ratio. Many doctors and researchers are finding the triglyceride/HDL ratio to be one of the better predictors of heart disease.
    I know that you were diagnosed with hyperglycemia in the past - this is in line with your high triglyceride reading. High triglycerides don't cause diabetes. Instead, their levels indicate that your system for turning food into energy isn't working properly. Normally, your body makes insulin, which “escorts” glucose -- the type of sugar in your blood --inside your cells. There, your body turns glucose into energy. Insulin also allows your body to use triglycerides for energy. A common cause of high triglycerides in your blood is insulin resistance; that’s when your cells won’t let insulin, or its companion glucose, inside your cells. As a result, both glucose and triglycerides build up in your blood. Your doctor can do a blood test to see if you have insulin resistance. When you have insulin resistance , the insulin level in your blood is too high, and you’re one step closer to type 2 diabetes.
    Just keep track of your blood markers and you should be able to make appropriate modifications and still remain a healthy vegan.

      Interesting about the TG/HDL-c ratio as a predictor. Since reading your post I checked out some research on this ratio on PubMed. TG is not an issue for me so I never ran across this relationship. You, for sure, helped others. Thanks for sharing.

      TG/HDL < 1, with TG = 59 as of last month. To my knowledge, < 60 mg/dL for TG would be a good range for someone with pre-existing cardiovascular disease. < 80 mg/dL TG would be a good optimum range to normally use from what I've read. Personally, I am aming for under 80 but have been no higher than 63 for a number of years. Looking good!

      hitssquad Not a vegan. Do consume coconut oil/milk... your guess was right on. Probably more important than what I eat is what I don't eat/drink. No/very low sugar, no breads, no night shades, no dairy (except I do use Kerrygold butter which is from grass-fed cows), etc. FullyRawKristina does wonders at staying organic but for my body, additionally I eat grass-fed/finished meat, wild fish like salmon, sardines, mackerel and liver since it's a high nutrient density meat. Not to be confused with a Paleo diet but most of my calories are fat and therefore I switch my body over to burning fat instead of carbs for the last year. For those who don't know, this is a ketogenic diet. My advise to everyone is to know your blood test results and tweak your diet based on your numbers. Everyone has their own issues due to slight variations in their genetic code - ie DNA.

    I love Dr. Garth! He is such a great doctor, very informative! He performed my gastric bypass in 2009. I don't eat meat or pork, occasionally chicken but I'm to the point where it makes me sick thinking about it. I would really love to make a change for my health.     Hi Kristina, after your video about B-12 deficiency, you made it seem like being raw vegan was the "perfect" diet and that there was no need for supplements. I really wish you emphasized the importance of taking B-12 supplements more in this lifestyle.

    I am vegan but I eat lots of healthy fats and my total cholesterol was 157. My ldl was 65 and my hld was 75. My trigercerides were 85.
    I am not a particularly naturally healthy person that's why I went vegan and heart disease runs in my family.
    I eat 2 avocados a day 1/2 of a cup of cashews and 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil.

    I don't think I could go vegan, but I have changed my diet recently and I am eating a whole lot more fruit and vegies , mostly raw, and I feel so much healthier for it. My skin is clearer, hair and nails stronger, even my eyelashes have grown thicker! This is all thanks to you :)

    I was anemic my whole life until about 5 years ago when I started paying attention to what was in my food. I started eating more fruits and veggies and eliminated most processed foods in exchange for whole, natural foods. I couldn't believe the difference it made when I got my first blood results after that. I was no longer anemic and all my vitamins were almost perfect! On top of that, your immune system gets so much stronger and you are able to fight off the common cold and other viruses. I rarely ever get sick! I am not vegan but the majority of my diet is. I've just never really been a big meat eater in general but I did have my favorite "junk foods". It is a common myth that most people believe that you cannot get essential vitamins without eating meat and dairy. I use to believe it too until I switched my diet and saw the proof! Congratulations on your results!

    Wow Kristina, this is seriously awesome.
    I've lived most of my life unhealthy. But the last two months I have cut out almost all of the processed foods I used to eat (which is huge for me!!) And begun a healthier lifestyle. Already I notice I have more energy, my face is more clear, hair has grown at an inch and looks so much shinier! You are a great motivation for me. Putting good in really makes you feel good on the outside! :) ♡♡♡♡

    Some of you seem to be neglecting the fact that all plants have a composite ratio containing fat carbohydrate and protein, even if it is very minuscule and less than 1% measurable.
    At the quantity of which these fruits and vegetables are consumed it adds up to quite enough. She does eat nuts and seeds which are considerably higher in fatty acids on occasion, she just does not consume them in excess.
    This has seemed to worked for her almost 10 years and she has the right to share her achievements. If her needs begin to shift down the road as far as nutrients are concerned she has every right to tweak it and adjust as the world is in constant change as is life.
    One exact way will not work for everyone as we are all different and have different lives, we may all share certain needs and wants. Yet it is only our personal choice and opinion, by being completely honest with ourselves that determine if our needs and desires are being met.
    Just have unfailing love and forgiveness for yourself and you cannot help but win. But if you knew that there would be no need of struggle, or negative comments.
    There is no need to fear in hope to find love, just accept it. :)

    Very low iron,very low ferritin.My iron is 45 and ferritin 23 and with such result I'm doing everything to increase both the levels so I started to eat meat as an experiment on myself I would say.I'm giving myself half a year.One of the side effect of eating meat was that after 2 months my B12 level increased from 260 to 455.I will check iron and ferritin in 2 months.

    Sit down when you give blood, please (regardless it is for lab or donating blood). Or make sure that the 'patient' is seated! That is phlebotomy 101. And that was a 21 G green top butterfly needle, so no worries, it will not hurt :-) Regarding your CBC at 4:59: although your values are in the normal range (except RDW), but the normal range does not necessary mean optimal range (OR). OR tends to be a narrower interval. Given this, your Hgb, MCH, MCHC is closer to the lower limit than to be normal (even it is said to be normal). Since MCH = Hbg/RBC, and MCHC = MCHC/MCV, and MCV = Hct/RBC, everything comes down to the 1. RBC, and then to the Hct and Hgb values. This can be due to the fact of that the person if a female (premenopausal) or diet. However, when I arrived to 5:09, there were major caveats. First, because I cannot recall every single range in my mind, I thought that the lower interval of your Se Fe (iron) is somewhat lower as I recalled. So, I googled it (shame on me). Someone, please help me out how "30" was found to be the lowest limit of the serum interval whereas it should be around 60 (mcg/dl). Your UIBC high, % transferrin saturation low, your ferritin is closer to the lower limit (7, where the interval 5 - 204!), TIBC is closer to the higher limit (420, where the interval is 228-428!), and here is mysterious serum iron level 35 (again, someone please insert a link showing that 30 is the lowest limit of the normal range). I am so sorry to say, but looking at the above results (including the CBC, iron profile and the calculated values), but you are very close to having a diagnosis of iron deficiency (+anemia). Because you are under 30, I don't even think that the CHD risk calculator would work on anyone under 30 :-) (besides the value itself is calculated). Your HDL level is low (especially in your age and with your excellent exercise regimen), NOT normal(!), so to increase it, only the diet can be counted on (well, some say niacin, too). Your triglyceride is high probably due to the high carbohydrate intake (from fruits, assuming). Your vitamin B12 is super high (at 7:20), which is kind of surprising, especially when the B-group is removed by urine (water soluble vitamins). I would also have loved to see results of the liver and kidney functions shown. I am sorry again to say, but in at you age, with a diet that you consider in the US unhealthy, I had much better results (actually perfect ones), even if my only exercise was going from one patient to another one. Now, having said the above, don't get me wrong: I love FullyRawKristina's videos, I adore the encouragement someone can get from them, and I am actually considering myself to go vegan (maybe not fully raw, and definitely with occasional cheating). Actually, I am on day 2 now, and suffering as hell :-( I respect the help you are providing for the farmers living around, and I would love to see more videos, because you truly rock! I will definitely visit one of the pick-ups here in Houston soon. PS. I would not have been in his place... it is very difficult to go on video and open up a conversation with the potential that not all feedbacks will be positive. I would not do it for sure.

      WHO consider USA's B12 levels to be too low.
      usa= 200-350pg/ml is 'normal'
      In Japan and Europe, the lower limit for B12 is between 500-550 pg/mL, the level associated with psychological and behavioral manifestations such as cognitive decline, dementia and memory loss.

      Well, to tell you the truth, I don't rely on web sites that refers you to further testing for x dollar :-) I generally read articles on PubMed. There are a few major things people always forget about: 1. B12 deficiency will result in pernicious anemia. and 2. low B12 vitamin levels may be due to inefficient/nonexistent intrinsic factor production by the stomach's parietal cells. These things should be also considered upon the assessment of B12 levels.

    I was B12 deficient LONG before I transitioned to a Whole Food Plant Based lifestyle.. It will be 3yrs in May, and I have lost over 85lbs so far... I have many more pounds to lose, and I know it will go... I'm anxious for my fibromyalgia to go...     This video resurfaced for me so I thought I would make a few comments. Kristina started off by saying "I've had many question, Am I nutrient deficient and can raw vegans be healthy long term?" While it's great to see how Kristina is doing, it's safe to say her results are unique to her body and not how all vegans would be doing. Just a reminder we are looking at one person and one blood test after 9 years as a fully raw vegan. Near the very end of the video, Dr. Davis sums it all up and says to Kristina, "You have perfect labs." Now I counted ten results either low (L) or high (H) and a number of other results that indicate concerns. Plus the lab results were tainted since they were not performed under a fasting state. Seems like the highest standards of both taking the test and presenting the results were not undertaken for this video report. That is too bad for all of us.
    Some basic thoughts about the results that I see. First, an indication of early signs of deficiency of iron from the obvious RDW(H), %Sat Fe(L), and UIBC(H). Less obvious indicators being the results on the lower ends of normal of Hgb, Hct, ferritin and iron. As said by Dr. Davis, "B-12 is greater than measurable." I can hopefully assume whatever amount of B-12 was given prior to the video has been cut back. B-12 does play a role when talking about iron. My best guess is Kristina is eating enough iron enriched foods but not absorbing the iron. It might be interesting to take a good probiotics supplement. About 60% of the cells we carry with us are from bacteria living in our gut, converting food into the nutrients we need to absorb so that our bodies thrive. Probiotics might boost up the iron and the B-12 absorption.
    Since this wasn't a fasting test, I have no comment about the lipid panel or the glucose results.
    My thoughts say keep an eye on future A1c's.
    Kristina, hope you feel like a million bucks each and every day! Thanks for sharing your personal test results. I'm sure it was helpful for many people watching the video.

      Her ratio of TG:HDL, 210/43 = almost 5, is scary high. But you can't tell vegans anything about lipidology. They think the only thing that matters is LDL.

    The triglycerides were higher than normal (210); since this is fat derived, can you explain why that is, if you are 80/10/10? It seems a little odd but maybe there's an explanation for it?

      High triglycerides do not result usually from eating fat, they result from eating carbs (probably fructose especially). Yes triglycerides are blood fats, but no, high levels in the blood do not result from dietary fat, they come from carbs, and especially so in an insulin-resistant person eating carbs. That's where they get really high. This may sound counter-intuitive but that happens to be the way the human body works. Your body has no difficulty converting fructose into fat triglycerides, which are then transported around the body in LDL particles. If I ate as much fruit as Kristina I'd probably have trigs of 400 - 500.

    32 here and i eat whatever i wont just no junk food. and my blood results are perfect. but im always on the run or at the gym. so vegan diet has nothing to do with health. it depends on the person and life style. gym that's my medication and im not even muscular

    What's are your IGF-1 factors? They are probably off the chart due to the extremely high carb diet. Also, high triglycerides and A1c, is showing insulin resistance. This is due to your liver being fatty due to the high carbs causing high insulin loads. While right now you are healthy, give it 10 years you are going to have TYPE II diabetes and your beta cells in the pancreas are going to burn out.

      fruitfast777 Well it's not really the Doc's fault. They get very little nutrition training and then they are taught to use medicine to fix your problems. While using medicine is extremely important for things like infections, cancer, anti rejections drugs etc. Using high BP medicine, Glucophage, Cholesterol meds etc, is just putting a band aid on a wound that needs stitching up. Type II, High BP, etc are all issues associated with a poor diet. While I am glad to see that the video poster's health is OK right now, it is just a matter of time before she starts having issues. I would also like to add that I have never seen a Vegetarian with any muscle mass what so ever with out taking anabolics. I don't know if you folks know this but muscle mass is pretty important to combat osteoporosis in women.

    Triglyceride/HDL ratio is one of the best predictors of coronary artery disease. < 2:1 is ideal. 4:1 or higher is concerning. Yours is nearly 5:1. A real doctor would have ordered a CAC scan as a minimum. To have such a score at such a young age should be incredibly concerning. I guess this is a "vegan" doctor so such awful numbers are ok because the animals!

    i've been a vegetarian for 9 years, i try to cut out a lot of dairy and carbs out of my diet too, and when i just got my blood tests back a few days ago it showed everything was good for me too, except for needing to take b12 :)

    What Factors Can Increase Triglycerides?
    As with cholesterol, eating too much of the wrong kinds of fats will raise your blood triglycerides. Therefore, it’s important to restrict the amounts of saturated fats and trans fats you allow into your diet.
    Triglyceride levels can also shoot up after eating foods that are high in carbohydrates or after drinking alcohol.
    That’s why triglyceride blood tests require an overnight fast. If you have elevated triglycerides, it’s especially important to avoid sugary and refined carbohydrates, including sugar, honey, and other sweeteners, soda and other sugary drinks, candy, baked goods, and anything made with white (refined or enriched) flour, including white bread, rolls, cereals, buns, pastries, regular pasta, and white rice. You’ll also want to limit dried fruit and fruit juice since they’re dense in simple sugar. All of these low-quality carbs cause a sudden rise in insulin, which may lead to a spike in triglycerides.
    Triglycerides can also become elevated as a reaction to having diabetes, hypothyroidism, or kidney disease. As with most other heart-related factors, being overweight and inactive also contribute to abnormal triglycerides. And unfortunately, some people have a genetic predisposition that causes them to manufacture way too much triglycerides on their own, no matter how carefully they eat.

    Hi! This is the first video I see from you. I'm happy to see you're healthy (isn't your ferritin level too low? When mine was 8 I was tired almost everyday!). But I think you should be careful, it's ok to encourage people to be more healthy but it's always good to suggest people to study before changing completely lifestyle! What can be helpful for you could be harmful for someone else. I can't be vegan for some health problems but I follow a Mediterranean diet (i'm Italian) and I don't eat processed foods (and never ate, thanks to my mom). Keep going girl :)

      High triglycerides, low HDL (giving a ratio of 5, when less than 2 is optimal), Vitamin D in the 40s while the optimal minimum is 50, and blood A1c is 5.4% when closer to 5.0% is the goal for optimal blood glucose regulation... hate to tell you this, but this wasn't impressive.

    I am totally Vegan for now 3 months (been vegetarian since 7 years) and my calcium, proteines, triglycerides are ok. Need to do the vitamin test now. Please take your B12 weekly or daily !!! it's the only thing we can't find in plants

    Try intracellular testing. Since certain nutrients is located inside the cell and can't be accurately tested if your just doing blood test outside the cell!

    I love how he skipped over her triglycerides being in the 200s. Her TG/HDL ratio with a remnant cholesterol of 42 mg/dL actually puts her in a high risk category for heart disease.

      I'm eating keto, for the most part. My TG/HDL is 1.27, my RC is 11 mg/dL, my A1c is 4.7, and blood glucose is 90. I'm in the second lowest quintile for CVD risk. She's in the second highest. But, she's eating plants, so we all assume she's healthy despite her labs being a mess. I'm not too concerned about her fasting glucose, though. I think anywhere between 80-100 mg/dL is pretty normal.
      I was shocked when Garth said "you're not eating lipids, so you don't need to move a lot of lipids, and that's why your HDL is low". That's literally horseshit. Her body is trying to move a massive amount of lipids and having very little success, as indicated by the high TG. Insulin resistance is the typical cause of this type of dyslipidemia. You shouldn't have 42 mg/dL of VLDL/Chylo cholesterol after a 12 hour fast when you get your blood drawn. Insulin resistance is pretty much the only major thing that causes something like that.

    Im sorry but to claim that you will never have a heart attack because you have a low/normal LDL is ridiculous. Whats even more ridiculous is him claiming that a low HDL is fine because she eats less protein. Uhh no, low HDL is a CVD risk factor and should be boosted by increasing her exercise level. Now I am not saying Kristina is unhealthy, but some of the statements this physician makes are wrong.

What's the point of having these ranges of normality, if when it's out of range, you can just say it's normal?     I love this! I watched this documentary called Forks Over Knives and it talks about all the negative health effects from eating animal products and that we should eat a more plant based diet. That inspired me to not eat meat or dairy anymore. This video proves everything they said in the documentary! I will have to try some of your recipes and start implementing more raw fruits and veggies in my diet!

    I am in the field, worked for Life Extension, studied thousands of hours in nutrition and herbalism and holistic health..Please do yourselves a favor and read this honest review..
    First off, Kristina's AGAP levels are LOW..If the anion gap is too high or low, which is it, it can often be a sign of lung, kidney, and organ problems according to medical sources..NOT GOOD.. Her BUN levels are also low.. Lower BUN levels can indicate: liver failure, malnutrition, severe lack of protein in the diet.
    She was on the low end and very slightly above the lowest end before being problematic for red blood cells, hematocrit, hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, ferritin, total iron, ALL LOWWW...Iron stores are getting very low and ALL of these values will be deficient and even more problematic in a short amount of time unless her diet is changed or supplements are taken, which she may already be doing. Cholesterol has NOTHING to do with heart disease, SO many high quality studies prove this..This doctor is a shill and promoting veganism and not even reading it in an unbiased way on camera..
    Triglycerides are very high, HDL is poor, both put her at risk for many issues..He didn't even put several things on camera as well..
    Honestly with the AGAP, BUN issues, HDL, Triglyceride issues, and all iron based stats, hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCH being on the very low end and almost problematic, these blood test results aren't even good..Her body's stores and health before she went raw vegan are running out..It's a problematic diet, which is why thousands are no switching..humans were never meant to eat this way, I assure you..

    That Iron is pretty low. A normal iron level is between 7 and 10, so yes you're on the lowest side of healthy iron. You can only be a blood donor if your iron levels are higher than 8.5.... I think that says enough :-)

      ***** I understand where ur coming from and ur right u can't be a blood donator at level 7. but the way I see it is naturally the body is meant to make enough blood for it self. Blood donations are extra no one has to be a blood donator.

    As a lab chemist I wouldn't say that her lab results were perfect... Maybe she could lower her triglicerid levels reducing her carb intake... You can also lower them with omega ( in suplements or in flaxseed)

    I have been a vegetarian in1980 in high school. I found out vegans in 1998 and I went vegan. I don't eat any animal meat, or animal milk products, and I don't wear any animal leather skins products of clothes. Now I am a fresh food person and this is the best way to live all fruits, vegetables, nuts, cotton and linen clothes. I could never go back to that old way, it is a false tradition to be stopped, starting with myself. And I will have to be in a relationship with a vegan too for any future plans. Thanks, Sharon

    A ferritin level of 7 is by no means a good thing. I am a D1 collegiate distance runner and have had low ferritin , and have seen a severe drop in performance. A normal ferritin number for a healthy, active female is above 30. So he is totally incorrect. The Olympic training center likes their athletes to be well above 30. Your doctor is completely biased in this respect. My ferritin level is 11, and my performance dropped drastically, and improved greatly when I increased my red meat intake and took iron supplements. Iron from leafy greens is also not absorbed by the body as well or as rapidly. Your iron% is also too low. I am so glad that I never started following this fad.

    Nice Video, but the doctors a little bit ignorant when it comes to vitamin D. 30 is low and 41 is on the low side. A more optimum score is about score is about 60 to 75. 41 is nothing to gloat about if you want to be optimally healthy.

      None of the studies say whether the fructose is consumed in whole fruit form or processed sugar form or what foods are being eaten along with it.. and two of the studies are for a 6 week period only.. doesn't give me really good long term conclusive results..

    I really liked this because I always keep my blood results and compare them from year to year to see how my diet is affecting my results. I passed this year with flying colors. What I noticed on your results is that your tryglicerides are too high, over 150. Did he mention that to you and how you can correct it? Your B12 is above range. So maybe you don't even need to supplement the B12. Mine was at a normal range at 848 and my tryglicerides were 63. My mom suffered from heart disease and she always had her tryglicerides a bit high. Please have it checked by a cardiologist.

    A vit d level of 41 is very low, the mainstream medicine sets a minimum level at 50 but functional medicine doctors say a level of 120 is minimum for optimum functioning, but that is not necessarily a diet issue, most people in today s world are deficient in vit d

    What kind of doctor calls that perfect labs? I analyze and run labs (medical laboratory scientist) and those are NOT perfect. If my labs came back like that, I would certainly adjust my diet to correct. Those numbers may not show symptoms of disease now, but letting it continue for years will. I am not vegan and my labs are PERFECT. literally nothing out of range. I eat carbs and my lipid panel is excellent. That is BS. Carbs do not do that. You can't just make up "facts" to make your labs seem perfect. And why on earth is your glucose so high? I can tell you, blended and juiced fruits cause insulin spike. That is not the way fruits were intended to be eaten.

    Hi. I am happy for you and all vegans that you have received such great blood results. It was also good to see a vegan doctor in action explaining those values. I was just wondering about some values, that hadn't been mentioned in your conversation. While your doctor gave some explanation regarding your low HDL value, the following 5 parameters were marked as High or Low on your result sheets, but not explained by your doctor:
    - RDW 14.7H (normal 11.5-14.5%)
    - Basophils 1.1H (normal 0.0-1.0%)
    - %Satur Fe 8L (normal 12-57%)
    - UIBC 385H (normal 110-370ug/dl)
    - CHD risk 3.40L (normal 3.90-5.80)
    Can you shed some light, why it is ok to have those values outside of the normal range? I'd appreciate any info. Thank you very much in advance and please keep up your great videos.
    P.S: your B12 was really through the roof. I've researched that there is no harm in having a high B12 Level, but are you going to reduce your supplements now? And what did you use for supplementing to get to that level?
