🇫🇷 A le voir, le groupe @BABYMETAL a tout du girls band japonais : mignon, sucré, inoffensif. A l’entendre en revanche, c’est une autre paire de manches ! Su-Metal, Moametal et Momometal sont en effet les fers de lance du kawaii metal, ce style improbable qui mélange j-pop et metal.
Lancé en 2010, Babymetal surfe depuis sans discontinuer sur la vague du succès. Les idoles bien énervées ont en effet pu se produire sur les scènes et les festivals les plus prestigieux du monde, éclatant tous les records. Un phénomène renouvelé à chaque sortie d’album. A ce propos, à l’heure où nous écrivons ces lignes, la discographie de Babymetal comprend quatre opus : Babymetal (2014), Metal Resistance (2016), Metal Galaxy (2019) et The Other One (2023).
En pleine tournée mondiale - qui l’amène de Bangkok à Los Angeles - Babymetal marque bien sûr un stop au Hellfest. Juchées sur l’une des Mainstages, les trois Japonaises font une démonstration de leur étonnant mélange de furie, de mignonnerie et de chorégraphie millimétrée. Une sacrée performance !

I'm excited to see how the band will continue in this line-up. It must be exhausting to perform a choreography like that for 50 minutes and still have your voice so under control. I'm always impressed when I see them. Other bands and especially singers are completely exhausted after just 40 minutes. You can think what you want about Babymetal and of course not everyone likes the band and music, but the show they put on is unique. If I look at their tour calendar for the last few weeks, they've been on stage almost every day. Respect.

theres no doubt this is freakin hard but they grew up and were trained as jpop idols initially. jpop idols are on another level when it comes to singing and dancing at the same time while being so stable, seriously wonder what kind of magic they use lmao

I heard about this band a while back, but I wasn't really into watching or listening to them. Girls dancing to metal music seemed a bit strange to me. However, recently I stumbled upon one of their performances on RUclips, and I've completely fallen for them. The songs, the music, the energy, and the dance moves are all awesome! Su-Metal is incredibly beautiful and has this star quality on stage that makes her the band's icon, I think. 😊

@@JacobsKrąnųgI mean calling something “not metal” whatever that means isn’t good criticism. You can’t even define what metal is. Is Black Sabbath metal since there is no screaming? Does metal have to not be melodic? By that logic dragonforce can’t be metal either since power metal is melodic and has clean vocals. The “criticism” is just not good.

The girls are definitely the least talented of the crew.

音は仕方ないですね…野外フェスでセッティングに数十分しかかけられない中、CD音源並みの完璧な音を求められると難しいところはありますが熱量は過去一でした。あとは現地でどう感じるか、ホールでのライヴしか体験してないので日本でも単独野外ライヴやって欲しいです。

@@mutuochiba5637 言われてるのは大手広告代理店を利用しないからとか。まぁ、広告代理店もお金を出さないとこを応援する必要はないですからね。というか、当初はよくTVにも出ていたのですが、海外進出してからはお金を出してまで日本国内のTVに拘る必要がないってアミューズは決断したのかも？元々RUclipsで世界に名前が売れたグループだし。

BABYMETALのファンになって1か月以上経ったまだ見続けてる。これは本物だ😊
Le meilleur live du Hellfest que j'ai vu, le plus drôle aussi et le plus délirant ! Ces filles sont des bonbons, des friandises ! Vraiment, j'adore !
Et leur chorégraphie est incroyable avec une telle précision.
Je partage ton opinion à tout point de vue mais d'autres trouve que c'est toujours la même chose avec elles. Pour ma part ils n'ont rien compris en effet, elles ont intégré la danse des idoles japonaises dans un concept metal. C'est une innovation. Pis c'est tout le contraire des autres band dont je trouve qui font des pièces de remplissage sur leurs albums, la gestions de Babymetal, car n'est pas elle qui compose, malgré à 2 occasions dans le passé, ils vont toujours sortir quelques chose qui sort de l'ordinaire et qui punch avec d'excellents refrains avec les meilleurs compositeurs du Japon et monde. Pour ça qu'elles sont super populaire pas parce qu'elles sont belles et qu'on pense qu'elles vont encore à l'école primaire😂. Surtout que Suzuka a déjà 27 ans et a, paraît, 2 véhicules Lexus.😅 Un autre point comme c'est une agence côté à la bourse du Japon elles ont un meilleur budget alloué qu'un groupe organique.

At that time someone was having fun while recording, then he uploaded it on YT as a short, and it turned out that the audio mixing was much better offline compared to the live stream, so I finally concluded that this meant it was just a broadcast problem.

I am pretty sure that ARTE records this directly from the audio mixer, so the wind might only add noise in the mike, but as the mike was close to the singer's mouth this is not the case.
It is simply out of tone, wind cannot do this!
@corneliubabiuc6882 yes it does, it's windy and that's why it seems like she cannot hold a note. You can cleary hear they do not record from the mics, as the sound has no "impact". Sound on big mainstage like this is tricky to balance decently, at graspop it was the same until the middle of day 2. It was particularly waful during Babymetal because of the clear singing.

Yeah I just listened now that it's fixed and it sounds pretty great.
Love watching them take on crowds like this as a challenge, and seeing them get the whole place dancing by the end.

Ironically I kinda liked the bad audio. I've already seen many hours of live Babymetal performances. So it was cool to hear Su so clearly. You can tell she needed to warm up a bit. Her voice was a bit inconsistent for a couple songs but by the end of PaPaYa she was totally dialed in.

A sign of the times when BABYMETAL are pulling in more views than Megatdeth at Hellfest.
Still Dave Mustaine is a big fan of the band and been a supporter since their early days.
We need younger bands to take up the mantle to headline these festivals.
I have nothing but respect for the influential acts in metal and rock over the years, like I really do.
But if you can't see how Babymetal is metal as fuck and just subverting the genre and forcing people to enjoy themselves, I question how sincere of a music lover you are.
You can say it's not for you and if so, that's fine. But to me it's metal as fuck that they come out to these semi hostile crowds and get the whole place dancing by the end, they're unreal live.
It's okay to have fun, even as metalheads. They never disappoint and seem to embrace the challenge of the genre, it's awesome.

the band was not loud enough... and i think the monitoring was off aswell because Su is sometimes completly off note on this

@@jody024 yeah... i know other live concerts on this plattform. there are parts where you can barely hear the instruments. Then the reason i think the monitoring is off because she goes far to high sometimes and then the Mic you mentioned. Its a receipt of "how can i make the singer sounds worse" :)
Like i said. The "Rock am Ring" parts are not perfectly in this department at the EC concert, but on theirs? you can clearly hear she is a good singer.

Stream would be mixed in the Production/camera truck and not someone who is the normal band sound guy.
But you have to be allowed to address the sound! That's just bad. Presumably Arte simply took the camera microphone? That's just unprofessional. And I think there is no excuse for that.
their sound was terrible at Download too.. Must be an internal sound engineering issue
@@samshephard7164 it's definitely not the camera mic, but a mix from the desk. It's just the channels are quite bizarrely balanced and zero reverb on Queen Su's voice
They have a giant scaffold opposite the main stages for this, not a truck
@ARTE Concert did say during the stream the mix would be fixed for the replay version... but might take time
@@samshephard7164 This video is clearly not mic'd from the cameras, it is definitely from the real mic feeds. This is just bad leveling. But as you said, someone should be paying attention somewhere and make adjustments on the fly.
I was in the mosh for the entire show and the live mix was pretty good. Like I'm always saying in festival videos, the sound feed from the live console is *not* the same as what's being sent through the front of house. The mix sound different here, the same as for Anaal Nathrakh, Enter Shikari, Emperor, etc.
早朝から見た瞬間にテンション上がった、何度も聞いたがSUの声全くエフェクトなしの様に聞こえる。それはそれで嬉しいのだが全体のバランスからやり直しだぜエンジニアさん。しかしものすごいなぁ。メルシー僕。

Hellfest was off the chains this year. Fear Factory, Megadeth, Machine Head, Babymetal.
I wasn't a fan of Babymetal at first, but over the years, they've grown on me.
They're legit. Hard working, always on the grind, and I have the utmost respect for these young ladies, and the Kami band.

Sound engineer needs fired. This is not their best sounding performance, and it had nothing to do with the band or the girls because everyone was crushing their job assignments. Props to the drummer working his butt off

Su さんの歌唱テクニックは素晴らしいです!なぜかと言うと、Suさんは、バンドの音に埋もれない様に、歌メロの若干シャープ↑で全て歌っています。これは、オーケストラのメイン楽器でも、埋もれない様に、若干シャープ↑にチューニングするのと同じです。こんな事できる人は少ないです。この様なライン録りのおかしなミックスだと、それがハッキリ分かりますが、ちゃんとしたミックスでバンドの音がバランス良く聞こえた時、彼女のヴォーカルが完璧にマッチしている事が分るでしょう。

@@ksusama5280 つまり、Suさんのシャープは意図的では無いという事でしょうか？私が聴いた限りでは、無修正のも、Suさんは滅多にフラット↓には外さないから、発声がちゃんと出来てると思っています。下手な人は↓に外すけど、↑に外す人はオペラ歌手など歌唱力のある人が意図的にシャープにする事もあると思ったのですが。私、間違えていますか？
