    I also noticed that best time was at full moon and at no moon and few days around them, but I always contributed this to the fact that at my region of fishing, at those days, extremely high tide comes exactly at dawn. This two combined regularly produces catches. Other two moon stages bring low tide in dawn and this proved to be horrible for dawn but good at dusk in winter times since then dusk allignes with high tide that falls around 16hours.

    When I was little, local tide tables were the first thing we bought every year. That was the UK where there is a massive height difference between tides. But we always fished the 2 hours leading to high tide 😊.

    Thanks for the comprehensive information on the fundamentals of (shore jigging) fishing.
    New subscriber here 💪
    To summarize about currents, to see if I understood correctly:
    1.) Currents are good and "bad" at the same time. Good, because there (generally) we catch false albacore, bonito and amberjack. Bad, becasue of snagging.
    2.) In low currents or no current area there is a bigger chance of catching snappers, grouper and barrcudas.
    3.) It's always good to find an area where baitfish congregate.
    4.) In strong currents it is wise to use long and slim jigs and always reel in jig against the current with slower tempo.
    I still don't understand the necessity of finding baitfish. If we find baitfish, it means that there are low currents, which is not necessarily a good thing (especially if we target to fish albacore, bonito and amberjack). Or was it meant to always find baitfish first and then choose to cast in currents or no-currents area.
    Greetings from Slovenia! 🇸🇮

    Thank you a lot for this guide, it is pure gold!
    I noticed, that once, I went fishing in a spot that I did not know so well, I looked at weather forecasts and it said that there should have been very very strong east wind, with sun and strong currents from the shore, my fishing buddy told me to stay at bed and it would have been a waste of time because in the last 20 days nobody saw a single important fish.
    That morning I went there, pretty confident that the eastern wind was changing every condition of the spot, and it made my 20 grams lure fly 70-80 meters from the shore!
    I noticed after 30 minutes that a few very big bluefishes were following my lure in front of me, not biting, than I changed the lure, put on a big needle and shot it at the moon, instant attack as it dropped on the water and it was the biggest bluefish that I have ever fought with, it was incredible, but unfortunately after 3-4 jumps he went free and escaped.
    I was really happy to understand that the spot didn't work well the 20 days before just because the winds were not from the shore, but from the seaside, and in that case fishes just went somewhere else, coming back only with the exact opposite conditions.

    Lovely and very educative video. Thank you a lot. I fallow your channel since long years and this is my fav video by far.
    1) I am mostly in med but sometime going to ocean for fishing. In Canary islands for exp some sides of the island is always catching a big swell. In this case wind is out of our equation, right?
    2) About hours you didnt mention sun set and sun rise hours. I think most of the anglers consider these hours the most productive. For exp. barras go crazy and jump to everything according to my experiance. Do you think that it is just a mith?
    3) You were talking about shore fishing in general but I think most of these things can cover boat fishing. Except that I would never take my boat on 6-7 bf =) Can we say that, if we go for grouper and dentex by boat to deep structures, it is better to target low tidal movements?

    • @MarkosVidalis
      @MarkosVidalis  Год назад

      hi Monsieur. Thank you very much! Bellow are my answers!
      1) Yes, the swell as I mentioned, provides the same effect with the swell most of the time!
      2)I plan to make a separate video regarding the hours of fishing! Stay Tuned!
      3)Exactly! Same things go for the boat fishing. No better not go out with your boat at 6-7Bf brother 🤣🤣 Yes with low tidal movements, snappers and groupers are more aggressive. However if you find fast drops like steps in the bottom sea, and snappers right behind them, seeking refugee, then even with stronger currents you could get some fish, but the hard part is to maneuver your bait there!

    out here in the north of europe the full and no moon periods are when we have 'spring' tide (the highest and strongest) but it depends on the place whether this is good or bad. in some places the current becomes so strong that it is impossible to fish so we fish those spots on the weakest tides.

    The BEST video, amazing video @markos congrats. I have two questions:
    1. Does the barrometic pressure over 1020hPa is bad in general? (after a few rainy days and stabilize weather conditions like now) ?
    2. What you're using to check low/high tide/currents?

    • @MarkosVidalis
      @MarkosVidalis  Год назад +2

      Hi Buddy! High barometric Pressure is not bad, it is neutral 😊
      I use my eyes and my lures to check actual low and high tides at the fishing spot. There are some prediction sites but they usually fail...

    Αγαπητέ Μάρκο,
    θα ήθελα να σε ρωτήσω τα εξής:
    1.Αν υποθέσουμε ότι η 1η υψηλή παλίρροια είναι στις8.00 και 2η χαμηλή στις 14.00,πότε περίπου είναι τα παράθυρα που έχεις αναφέρει;
    2.Πώς ψαρεύουμε (από βάρκα), όταν άνεμος και ρέμα είναι ανάποδα;
    3.Όταν το επιφανειακό και το κάτω ρέμα είναι ανάποδα;
    Σε ευχαριστώ πολύ!!!

    • @MarkosVidalis
      @MarkosVidalis  4 месяца назад

      Γειά και χαρά Αντώνη, και σε ευχαριστώ πολύ για την υποστήριξη. Σχετικά με τις ερωτήσεις σου. 1) για ποια παράθυρα συζητάμε? Αν μιλάμε για τις χαμηλές εντάσεις ρευμάτων, τότε είναι στην αλλαγή, που είναι πάντα στην υψηλή παλίρροια και την χαμηλή. Όταν δηλαδή από κορυφή αρχίζει να πέφτει και το ανάποδο. Τα παράθυρα με τα δυνατά ρεύματα είναι στην μέση των νερών, τότε δηλαδή που υπάρχει αυξημένη ροή. 2 & 3) δεν αναφέρεις τεχνική, όμως αν μιλάμε για Jigging, τότε με ηλεκτρική Άγκυρα και πάντα λίγο πιο μπροστά από το σημείο που θέλουμε να πέσουμε, πάντα προς την πλευρά των ρεμάτων, ώστε να τζιγκάρουμε ελαφρώς κόντρα...

    Ωραία δουλειά. Μπράβο σου και σε ευχαριστούμε. Θα μπορούσες να μας προτείνεις εφαρμογές ή ιστοσελίδες που θα μας δίνουν πληροφορίες για τα ρεύματα και τις παλίρροιες στην περιοχή μας; Γράφεις 70% current στο βίντεο. Πολύ θα ήθελα να μάθω από πού παίρνουμε αυτή την πληροφορία.

    • @MarkosVidalis
      @MarkosVidalis  Год назад +1

      Φίλε Στέλιο δυστυχώς δεν υπάρχει αξιόπιστο σύστημα που να παρέχει τέτοιες πληροφορίες. Όσο για το 70% έντασης είναι η δική μου εκτίμηση από την αντίσταση που νιώθω στα εργαλεία μου, και που γνωρίζω καλά την μέγιστη ένταση του σημείου αλλά και τις ώρες αλλαγής/ αυξομείωσης του. Όλα αυτά πηγάζουν από έτη παρατηρήσεων και σημειώσεων. Για αυτό τονίζω στο βίντεο ότι θα πρέπει να φτιάξουμε το δικό μας ημερολόγιο και σύντομα θα έχουμε ένα αξιόπιστο μοτίβο. 😊

    Όπως είδα εδώ, έχω μια απορία σχετικά με το νήμα ή πετονιά που χρησιμοποιείς. Όπως είδα όταν μαζεύεις την πετονιά - νήμα, αλλάζει χρώμα. Είναι κάποιο είδος που βοηθά στο να γνωρίζεις πόσα μέτρα έχεις μέσα, ή είναι έτσι από την συγκεκριμένη εταιρεία.

    • @MarkosVidalis
