I had a feeling Blueberry Academy was in Unova. For starters, the academy's name isn't in another language, it's English since it's Blueberry (or in other versions, whatever the word for blueberry is in the language of the version people are playing) and not Uva or Naranja! And Dipplin is connected to all this as well as candied apples were first invented in northern NEW JERSEY...the western side of UNOVA! And NYC is of course known as the Big Apple! So the bridge Archaludon is based on, is the MANHATTAN BRIDGE! Kitakami is named after the real-life city in Iwate Prefecture, which is in the northern Tohoku region. 北/kita meaning north, and 上/kami meaning upper. In Japan, sweet apples are often served during summer festivals. With Aomori Prefecture (just north of Iwate Prefecture) being the largest producer of apples in Japan, it is well known for its apples around the world. Ogerpon wearing the mask is a reference to Onikenbai (or Ogre's Sword Dance), a traditional mask-wearing folk performance from the real-world Kitakami. This city is also home to a large traditional mask museum called Oni no Yakata (Ogre's Museum). Rice paddies are filled with around 10 centimeters of water. This constant, shallow inundation helps stave off weeds and pests. But if water levels suddenly get too high, such as during a flash flood, the rice plants can die.
Man, hearing that motivating Mesagoza music always gets me in the groove! And take a shot every time Kieran says "Wowzers". The little touches I appreciate in the DLC are the little animations during the transitions like the Dragonite flying with the plane or the fact the Kitakami taxi service are actually Noctowl rather than Squawkabilly. So a cudgel was carried by peasants during the Middle Ages. It functioned as a walking staff and a weapon for both self-defense and wartime. Clubmen wielding cudgels revolted in several localities against the excesses of soldiers on both sides during the English Civil War. The Japanese version of a cudgel is the kanabō (literally "metal stick") which was used in the feudal period by samurai. It was created for the purpose of destroying armor that cannot be penetrated by swords and spears. In Japanese mythology, the kanabō is also a weapon used in tales by oni, hence why Ogerpon has one! There is a Japanese saying "like giving a kanabō to an oni", meaning to give an extra advantage to someone who already has the advantage.
I like how big the second map to Kitakami is. I wasn't expecting that. Obviously it's not as big as Paldea but the size is rather close. I can't wait to explore it after work
It's not even close you can do a full circle of the map in very little time. it's a nicely designed area with things to see but I'd say it's the same size as the area in the second sword and shield DLC maybe a touch larger but not by much..
@@furionmax7824 nope not all of them. I wasn’t taking issue with your statement in general only that you say it’s close to Paldea when in my view it’s not even a little bit close to the size of paldea. Kitakami would fit into one corner of the paldea map and like I said Is more comparable to the Crown Tundra I'm not even complaining I think it's a fine size for DLC I just don't think it's fair to say it's "close" to paldae as that might be misleading to some people.
I've been having a great time playing through this DLC since this morning, and as I was exploring the area, I stumbled upon Wisteria Pond, where lots of Orichorio Sense Style hangs out, and I ran across a group of them, and much to my surprise, one of them was shiny. So I got my first shiny of Kitakami :D
Motion sickness means your stomach gets upset from movement. A lot of people will get it from planes, some get it from boats, sometimes it'll even happen for cars.
Wassup Ive been here since sword and shield and man time flies all the memories i have watching ur content got me thru quarenitine glad to seee u still make vids
The amount of people saying they've never heard of the word cudgel before.. Then again, the first time I heard the word used was actually years ago from Halo CE in the cutscene at the end of Assault on the Control Room. Cortana says to Master Chief: "This ring isn't a cudgel, you barbarian, it's something else." Maybe I'm a bad sort of special for remembering a little detail like that. :D
It’s great to see you doing The Teal of Mask DLC Orange. It’s great that we are going to a Japanese based Pokémon region since Gen 4 since Kitakami based on the City of Kitakami which is located in the Iwate Perfecture in the Tohoku region.
Nice! I didn't get the dlc because all they showed us in the trailers was dirt and some stands. But after watching just a bit of your playthrough, now I'm gonna buy the dlc! It's so relieving and exciting to see that it's actually a whole new region (even if it might be small). And then in part 2 we'll get to finally battle more trainers! Not just the same 8 in Mesagoza. I'm sold!
Scald is in the game. So excited for that, alone haha. I've already made a few of them. Edit: I was lucky enough to find my first raid being a Sinistcha, too. It's pretty good, honestly. Didn't think it'd be as...kind of bulky as it is. I haven't delved into stats and stuff on it yet, though. Just started a couple hours ago!
Thinking about the “randoms” that come along, the DLC is designed to be played either fresh or as postgame, similar to the Isle of Armor. This makes it hard to include the friend group because it would require variable scripts. Game Freak won’t even do proper level scaling, so you know truly variable scripts would be beyond their capabilities.
I like the dlc so far especially because of Dippin, Kieran, Orgemon, the three legendary Pokemon and the new Ursaluna form. I really wish I had the dlc I just feel left out because I don't have it.
Im glad that everybody agrees that our 3-storylines buddy gang (Arvin, Penny, Nemona) not coming w us to Kitakami is a weird choice & should've been them rather than some 3 rando students. How fun that'd be if Arvin calmed Kieran when he was lied to or Carmine & Nimona competed w each other.
Motion sickness, i can imagine. One of the worst experience ;-; Poor lil Timmy The music is so dope tho. I feel like it’s quite funky but also has a scent of Japanese sound. (In the battle music w/Carmine)
Hey, I've only found pink shinies in my game, too. (Pawmi, Mareep, Flamigo, another Flamigo, Kilowattrell, Deerling). I guess pink just sticks out in the wild more?
I’ve started playing the new DLC love it so far I’ve already been catching the Pokémon I see. When do we get all the starters is not until in the DLC that comes out in Nov??

Title: The Teal Mask / Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC - Episode 1 Author: MunchingOrange URL: ruclips.net/video/iMdzRCu2rXEL/видео.htmlinks to an external site. Date Published: September 13, 2023 Yes! Although Pokémon is my only and favorite video game franchise, I have taken into research the playthrough of the new game Pokémon Scarlet DLC Teal Mask which I have also obtained but not played. I have heard this DLC has a new story with returning and new Pokémon in the gameplay from various websites and trailers. I just had to check it out with one of my favorite content creators and streamer MuchingOrange. MuchingOrange, your experience of the Scarlet: DLC The Teal Mask play through looks and must be super fun with how you go through the story arc. Thank you for giving me a taste of how my experience could be on my own Switch as I progress through; some people may not have the same taste of the graphics and storyline because this added game play is for those who want to have more of this 9th Pokémon generation on the Switch (attitude awareness). As you progressed through the game play, skills in obtaining new areas and Pokémon characters are added and expanded in detail. The characters' characteristics are also furthermore concrete and developed to explain their goals and quests. The iconic legendary Pokémon monsters have stories that intertwine with the main characters' plotline like the Orgeron and the Loyal Three. The Pokémon trainer's team of six level up in moves, experience points, and maybe evolution which has the Pokémon leveling up in stages. In general, the Pokémon franchise game builds upon the skills you develop from the beginning. Obtaining Pokémon is no easy feat without the Pokeballs and you must be able to craft or buy them. You would also need to keep a roster of six main Pokémon in your party to battle against various trainers across the region such as the main Gym leaders who once are defeated allow you to challenge the Elite Four members and champion who are the head of the battle competitions. Skills lie in the knowledge you have of type advantages, power levels, health points, and other gimmicks of the games (skillfully developed). Pokémon battles are between two Pokémon monsters, and they battle each other with moves to see which one is left standing or defeated. The Teal Mask story opens up with an adventure in the Kitakami region, new for the exchange student who is getting to know the location with the locals, Kieran and his sister Carmine, Perrin- a photographer, Briar a researcher, and other characters of the new region. Throughout the story, different characters help the protagonist with their journey in small side quests of battles, research tasks, finding certain items, and other experiences. These experiences allow the protagonists to advance with the story which has an excellent resolution and climax in which the legendary Pokémon interacts with the protagonist in battle or in another method, maybe even letting the protagonist obtain the legendary for the Pokedex record Pokémon have levels which show how much experience each monster has in battles and friendship building. As the levels increase, the Pokémon may evolve into a new stage of more power, various characteristics, or have a new function. These evolutions are gained by more than experience points; they can be certain items like a stone, trading to another friend, leveling up at a certain time of the day, holding a certain food and some other action, or another method (Motivated by and relevant to experience). Characters such as Kieran and Carmine through the text show their human nature and characteristics and the family relationship they have and are developing as brother and sister. The graphics throughout the game play also display the characters' struggles and accomplishment through facial expressions, how engaging they are in text, and the actions each character shows. Healthy rivalry is encouraged to see the dignity of people playing the games. The Pokémon creatures are the player's buddies and have a connection through friendship in various mini games like the Pokémon picnics in which they are groomed, cared for, feed mochi, washed, or simply given other treats to raise their levels or IV stats. Pokémon are to be representation of pets who love their trainers and cooperate willingly with them (Dignity of the Human Person). Each Pokemon generation of games is inspired by numerous worldly cultures and countries such as Japan starting off for Generation 1 to 4 with the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions. Unova was of America in the Northeast, Kalos is based on France, Galar is of Great Britain and the United Kingdom. Alola is of Hawaii. Paldea is based off the Iberian Peninsula with Spain and Portugal. The main character's perspective of adventuring through the Kitakami region is very exciting and intriguing which has many personal customizations which allows the Switch player to choose their character's decisions of battle, clothing, Pokémon, words to chat with other characters, and much more (Inspiring); I grew up with Pokémon having a healthy obsession with them by playing on the Gameboy, DS, 3DS, and now the Switch according to each new Pokémon generation of games. These Pokémon are monsters based upon creatures of the modern world and of fantasy related things such as the Dipplin based on candy apples. The typings are of real-world things like Fire, Grass, Water, Ground, and Electric while Dragon, Fairy, Dark, Ghost, and Psychic are based on fairytales and stories like nightmare-ish scares, blissful stories, and mysterious novels. In doing so, stories within Pokémon are stories based on fairytales or other narrative stories. Truth is shown to be twisted in manners that seem fun and harmless but later it can be seen as a warning to what our real experiences should watch for (Truth-filled). The balance of power is ranked with status of who has the powerful team of Pokémon based on typing, experience, levels, and stats. There is a similar light and darkness contrast between the Pokémon world and its creatures but upon the introductions of the Kitakami region, the characters' backstories are almost out in the open with context clues. The Pokémon battles also a balance of power between the teams or single Pokémon. Another factor for players to consider is of the time spent on these Pokémon games because these entertainment engagers are not to be a constant addiction unless someone really pushes towards that agenda. A person may set a time limit to save their progress on their gaming console with pressing the save button. Time is needed to play the game, rest, work on academics or other jobs, and maybe family or community life (Balance). Many of these words are of experience of playing the games and going through their stories. Typical Pokémon stories have the heroes go against the villains at the end of the story arc while battling strong trainers at Gyms, trials, or wild Titan Pokémon. These regions draw inspirations from different regions of the world such as the Galar region taking inspiration from Great Britain, the Kitakami region being based on an area of the United States that may be connected to New York City. I wanted to see the connection between the perspective of the Church's 7 Media Keys and of Pokémon as best I could.
I like dipplin, but it seem like a regional form more than an evolution. Applin and dipplin are just too similar. its just an applin with sticky caramel on the apple
dude i hope they add a game where you can visit all the regions open world, ik its a lot, but if kanto, johto, hoenn, sinnoh and the rest were open world, oml kalos?? then it would be awesome
Did you know you can play this DLC along the main story? I played this on both Scarlet and Violet on my play through and before going end game which is easier to catch Pokémon from past generations. It is the same in The Isle of Armor in Sword and Shield. I play that DLC before beating the main game.
for some reason I can't access the DLC in my scarlet copy. I'm not getting the call from Jacq at all when I load the game in I don't know why my game is not allowing me to play the DLC and I have beaten the game.

Yes!
I wanted to see the connection between the perspective of the Church's 7 Media Keys and of Pokémon as best I could.
I like dipplin, but it seem like a regional form more than an evolution. Applin and dipplin are just too similar. its just an applin with sticky caramel on the apple
I guess the twist or what makes it "different "is that there's actually two worms inside the apple 🤷
@@MunchingOrange good to know.

Did you know you can play this DLC along the main story? I played this on both Scarlet and Violet on my play through and before going end game which is easier to catch Pokémon from past generations. It is the same in The Isle of Armor in Sword and Shield. I play that DLC before beating the main game.
I love pokemon scarlet
So Poltchageist has a Counterfeit and Authentic form too?
This is good 👍
for some reason I can't access the DLC in my scarlet copy. I'm not getting the call from Jacq at all when I load the game in I don't know why my game is not allowing me to play the DLC and I have beaten the game.
Did you get the wrong version? (scarlet dlc on violet or violet dlc on scarlet)
@@opjes1wjwj no I got the right one I'm not that dumb to get the dlc for the wrong copy
My Pokémon HOME is still going under maintenance if I have to wait for that, then I have to wait till 11:07am
