I actually just bought them off eBay for 130 (+15+10tax) so not bad cost (about 51$ each) and even now in 2022 they are still the best looking bunch and most cartoon accurate (not to mention wallet friendly) version out there!
l4d2charger Wait, huh. I see Vangelus got them on the outside. I tried folding them up several different ways to get that to happen and couldn't find one that worked. I wonder if maybe mine were assembled backwards?
You have described something as "held in well", but it seemed more like a struggle to dislodge. I would argue that this held in too tightly, most likely. Kickbutt waist swivel seems loose, sometimes it moved without you moving it, don't think you mentioned that. I have to apologise for my tone but am generally suspicious of reviews that also serve as a type of advertisement for a toy seller. In cases like these I wonder if there is a blurred line between 'review' and 'advertisement', IMO. I would like to think that this is not the case however.
MultiJamesman If you watched the end of the video, you'd hear me say I specifically think that unless you're a hardcore insecticon fan, you should hang off on buying these until we see more of what happens with the insecticons coming from MMC and FansToys.
These look really good. I know Fanstoys is doing them as well, but I like what I'm seeing from Badcube. These guys are making a statement...hoping for Power Glide or Cliff Jumper next!
I agree with you 100%.do we really need all the character's to be overdone.what's so hard about doing an mp scale galvatron instead of 3 devastates for example
It's okay there's another Devastator coming from another company :D What I'd love to see is some War for Cybertron stuff. So far only one company is doing them but on a mini scale it'd be nice to see some voyager-class WFC stuff. Sadly the CGI models have an affinity for placing wheels in enclosed armor pieces which is a pain to engineer a way to get those out of their surrounding armor bits =P
Frederick X. For me its the masterpiece line and better quality 3rd party bots.it appears to me that the official stuff other than mp has gone down in quality recently....but that's just me
+monkeybubbles It's not just you. I was all in on the Classics line...but after Animated, I haven't bought a *single* Takara Transformer outside of the Masterpiece line. 3rd Party is actually giving me what I want in a Tformer toy.
***** Trust me, you're not the only one. They already have combining Dinobots, so if they'd only come out with combining Insecticons they'd nail the top-two on my wish list.
I will probably hold out for Fans Toys versions cause they at least add die cast metal which merit a Masterpiece price unlike Badecube and you said the plastic is likely cheap quality on these figures.
MultiJamesman Not at all. I just have a limited amount of what I can carry with me to work when I review. Sometimes I find stuff on the way in and don't have anything else on me to compare it with.
***** I apologise then. I am a naturally suspicious person and recognise then that you are doing the best you can. Sorry. I have also edited one of my other comments here to reflect a more objective outlook on such issues.
So Claymore has the best upper body design, Kickbutt has the best leg design, and Hypno has the best bug mode. (and his neat Lord Zed face) Now if we could just take all those elements and put them into one super Insecticon figure I think we'd be set.
on all the pictures i've seen on a google search. Hypno's forearms are reversed so the little forearm gun is face away, maybe the one you showed in this video was assembled incorrectly?
Peaugh - constructive criticism, please go back to good size comparisons. Now it's with (whichever figure you happen to have on had like a legends figure) or no comparison at all. Part of what made your reviews cool were you would compare the reviewed figure with other figures that the fans want to see it compared with. I appreciate what you do - and hope you'll take this positively. Thanks!
er4smiths I generally try to. See the Cupola review. Sometimes it's due to lack of space in my work bag, sometimes it's because I no longer have some of the figures requested, sometimes I just forget to nab something before I leave.
Nice, I always loved the Insecticons. This new collection looks so realistic and so much better. Thanks

for claymore i think the guns attached to his robot more arms are supposed to be facing outward not inward
l4d2charger You mean Hypno? I thought that too, but doing it like that makes his elbows backwards.
l4d2charger Wait, huh. I see Vangelus got them on the outside. I tried folding them up several different ways to get that to happen and couldn't find one that worked. I wonder if maybe mine were assembled backwards?
***** oohhh his name is hypno... well yeah i that might be the case. a plentiful amount of third party figures often have QC issues
l4d2charger QC issue, all official photos have it on the outside
daleej84 i know but what i meant was not all figures usually appear as presented due to some minor-major flaws in some cases
In 2020 this is still the best set for the $, superior engining.
Hypno's wrist guns do go on the outside, but they can be positioned either way due to the symmetry of the forearms.
I'm surprised you didn't do these as three separate vudeos
You actually mistransformed Bonbshell's arms. The guns do go on the outside.
I've cast my lot with Fanstoys' attempt at the Insecticons and fingers crossed on that gamble.

MultiJamesman boo have time to comment! never really watch the review till the end
***** I did not make it through the whole review yet and thanks for pointing this out.
That's really unhealthy paranoia, you know. I promise you, "the man" isn't out to get you.
Nice set of figures, I will have to get me that set too, great review.
These look really good. I know Fanstoys is doing them as well, but I like what I'm seeing from Badcube. These guys are making a statement...hoping for Power Glide or Cliff Jumper next!
they look ok
Just got the 2019 reissue for a very nice price.
Hypno, like the Pokémon!
Damn i missed the boat on these. Cant find anywhere much less at a reasonable price
First Devastator, then every combiner ever, now Dinobots and Insecticons. Third party companies trying to outdo each other on the same characters =[

Frederick X. If like to see a Fall of Cybertron Superion!!!!
Just imagine all the Airelbots in that esthetic...
I wonder if I'm the only one to want to see combining Insecticons.
***** Trust me, you're not the only one. They already have combining Dinobots, so if they'd only come out with combining Insecticons they'd nail the top-two on my wish list.
I've always wanted to see an Insecticon combiner, maybe something with Sharpnel's bug mode as an arm.
I will probably hold out for Fans Toys versions cause they at least add die cast metal which merit a Masterpiece price unlike Badecube and you said the plastic is likely cheap quality on these figures.
The individual releases have diecast :)
Wow with that review I guess it'll be last toys you receive from them!
best insecticons ever!
No scale comparison with other figures?
I've notice that size comparisons are becoming scarce on peaugh's review...:-(
G25 yeah I was thinking the same thing
gorodn009 It might be an aspect of his deal with TFsource. Tfsource states this: "OTS- 05, 06, 07 around 14-14.5cm/5.5" from head to toe"

Why do companies send you toys to review without instructions???
Just to let u know bro, because u didn't mention it. The reason that their chests open is to be storage space for the Energon cubes ;)

They all have elements working for them. Just in awe at how G1 accurate these guys look. Just wow!
is it possible to transform hypno without removing the gun?
BadLamprey No, because the part where his gun attaches has to fold into his chest, which the gun would prevent from happening. =3
on all the pictures i've seen on a google search. Hypno's forearms are reversed so the little forearm gun is face away, maybe the one you showed in this video was assembled incorrectly?
The gimmicks are lame. There should be a jaw snapping feature, a light up feature for Bombshell's gun and a jumping feature for Kickback. 🙄
Why didn't they just call them "the insectobots" or something -_-

***** Maybe a ruler will suffice?
I understand the names Hypno and Kickbutt, but Claymore?
Seriously? Claymore? Was he named after an employee at the company or something?
PittyPaws A Claymore is the name of both an explosive mine and a large sword.
