I've known Van since I was a small child. Classically trained as a mezzo-soprano it didn't stop me sitting on his lap & singing songs of all genres (a LOT of Irish folk). Van was brought up under the sound of the gospel & this & many other songs he sings show this. He's also one of the most genuine & unaffected men you could wish to meet. He'll always be just, "our Van"😊.

I think that this is a wonderful song for your husband's passing and the Van Morrison would be happy that you honored him that way. Hope that makes it even more meaningful for you.
