Aberrant Mageseeker sounds SO much like Fiddlesticks, the whole speech pattern is very "LITTLE LIGHT... LITTLE... LIGHT..."
Right? It’s honestly gotten me so confused. Like, nightmares are supposed to be Nocturne’s gimmick, but the dialogue seems to be implying Fiddlesticks.
I was about to comment that! Also a quote about black feathers poisoning the dreams. Fiddle might come next expansion and take over Nocturne's role as nightmare
The only thing that makes me doubt it is fiddles himself is that... fiddles wouldnt really bother doing any of that, sure he lures people away but he never straight up "plays" a character, just regurgitates whatever he hears, and like, as powerfull as lux may be. I cant imagine her being so strong that a PRIMORDIAL DEMON had to scheme like that

I believe the current fan theory is that Alina is meant to represent the childhood Lux wishes she had: being loved for her light and told not to hide it. Basically Lux's dream created someone who Lux could nurture in the way she wishes she was nurtured. Its honestly so telling of Lux's character that instead of dreaming of a life she never had, she dreams of giving that life to someone else, ensuring they don't suffer the way she suffered.
There was what I got from that too. And it makes a lot of sense.
The "I will always try, Vex" hit me right in the heart. Milty is adorable.

Skin spotlights didnt include that in the video but vex has interactions with the landmark family reunion resembling her mom and dad where she shows her more vulnerable side
Mike Patton is the voice actor of Mageseeker, he voices the entity from the video game "The Darkness" (an incredible game with a dark and deep story) I would recognize him anywhere, I love it, his voice acting was the inspiration to create Fiddlesticks' voice.
Man, they really went all out with the voice acting in this one.
Aberrant Mageseeker is so interesting because I don't think they're Fiddlesticks, they speak too coherently and too much like a sentient being to be Fiddle who just parrots back his prey's fears. AM could be a demon follower of Nocturne, maybe a demon of darkness (the whole expansion's theme of light and dark, the voice lines about "big dark" and consuming the light).

I personally have a theory that's it's either a lesser demon linked to fiddlesticks or just fiddle who is slowly adapting and understanding the world around him. I hope it's the the first one because if the second one was true and fiddlesticks became sentient, let's just say that runeterra would be fucked

Just so you know Skyen, Tristana gains stacks of impact when leveled, and impact can be stacked with boost which Lux likes alongside spirit as each stack counts as multiple keywords for her
Usually they really handle these interactions but this one was another kind of joy. I didnt know i would love vex so much
I sometimes wish they would give Lux more of a rebellious streak before the Mage Rebellion. So that she isn't just sitting by and trying to solve things passively
Like, even in the short stories she's shown to be very tactical and more than open for radical decisions. Give her like a hidden persona who warns mages of impending searches or make her fight mage seekers at times with as that persona. Hell, take her Spell thief outfit, slap a mask on it and wabamm. Secret Hero.
This would be a really cool Lux story, I'd love to read it.

So the thing that stands out to me at 16:32 where black feathers are mentioned added to how aberrant mageseeker is voiced I feel strongly that this somehow leads back to Fiddlesticks, Maybe Fiddlesticks is the next runeterra champion ? and the reason why he is in a minor form may be because Fiddlesticks has only begun to take roots again due to the conflicts that is happening and fear although you dont feel it often it is always there lurking in the corner of your mind never going away
50:30 gives me MAJOR vibes that the next part of this Expansion will include Fiddlesticks. There are so many hints throughout about nightmares and something being "not right". The way Aberrant Mageseeker speaks with a growl, their voice constantly shifting, the mentions of Black Feathers, and Lillia's evo animation involving a lot of deep red and crows gives me massive "The living nightmare, Fiddlesticks, is coming" vibes

Tristana probably has interactions with lux because impact is another stacking keyword. Even if its probably unlikely to be a deck pairing

For anyone curious, Tristana works with Lux: Illuminated by way of the Impact keyword. I haven't played it myself, but in theory, Tristana gives followers Impact, which is currently the only positive keyword besides Spirit which benefits from the Boost mechanic, which is what ties the two champions into the same deck.
this video made me realise how many different accent there was in the game when you play in english, I love it, i'm french and my league of legends is in french and I can't hear that many accents in the game.
The big theory for the aberrant mageseeker is that it's fiddlesticks since he has very similar verbal ticks to Fiddle... Plus it may be the same actor lol. But yeah the theory is this is him in a human/petracite scarecrow
29:33 yes, normally they have voice lines with each other when devs think they should be played together. I think the reason of choosing Tristana is both because of her bright personality and because she can have big amounts of impact and give them to other allies as well, which works really well with the new "Boost" cards, but honestly, I think Poppy would be a *much* better choice, both for interaction and gameplay.
Its why I love the game. It FEELS like your part of the world when you play.

The Lux/Tristana connection is because Tristana's followers generally have Impact, and Lux's Boost mechanic plays quite well with that (whether it would actually work is questionable, but I can see where the devs are coming from).

I've seen a lot of people say the Aberrant Mageseeker sounds like Fiddlesticks and I have to agree. The very throaty, scratchy way he speaks in his lines, especially the ones not directed at Lux, sounds so similar to Fiddlesticks' manner of speech

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Fiddlesticks teams up with Nocturne and that's the plot: they both infiltrate dreams to gain strength with Fiddle being the main antagonist due to him being stronger by nature. Aberrant Mageseeker helmet resembles cage where real soul of Fiddlesticks resides.
29:50 in theory a Lux and Trist deck would work pretty well
1. Boost works on all stackable keywords including Impact which Trist is all about
2. The sprites are multi regoinal so they would level and take advantage of Tristana's leveled up effect
3. Both champs win cons are to swarm the board with big beefey dudes
I say in theory only cuz i havent built the deck myself but i think a deck with them together might work with another champ like vex or teemo

Tristana has impact stacking, which synergises with the boost mechanic that got introduced with Spirit.
A couple of notes:
Mister Root reminds me of the nihilistic Luma in the Mario movie, voice is uncannily similar. It might even be the same VA.
My favorite detail for the Vex storyline is that it's not even her birthday (confirmed in one of her level up quotes). It adds another layer to the story because not only is this big party something she doesn't want to participate in to begin with, it's a big party she doesn't want to participate in that's based on a *lie*. That actually does a lot to make her more sympathetic and help the audience see her as more than just a hopelessly grumpy teenager.
It's also a Spongebob reference, which always gets points with me.

re Lux/Tristana as a deck, I can honestly see where they're coming from. They're both champions that want wide boards that attack early and often, attacking with a bunch of owlcats and elusive units helps level Lux, and multiregion units either have decent keywords or are something like Spritelings that actively synergizes with Lux. Then Tristana flips and starts throwing Impact everywhere, which feeds into Demacia/Bandle City being the region slice that cares about positive stackable keywords and Boosting and helps her snowball even more.
I'm not good enough at deckbuilding to actually figure the deck out, but I can see it.
Mister Root is a Lillia card, she says the line about her almost tripping him during her walk in League. I fucking love how jarring Mister Root is

29:50 I think the synergy between Lux and Tristana is the boost mechanic. You boost your impact from Trist and Spirit from Lux. And for multi-region units you have access to some of the sprite cards, morgana, and even glare from Vex's package

So your question about tristana and lux being in a deck together… yes, it works because a lot of the sprite cards are dual region. There is also that one Bandle city card that was changed to Grant spirit.
yeah the aberrant mage seeker is a hint for Fiddlesticks, since Fiddle is the primordial demon and he scares them blabla so it triggers her nightmares with him. And we know Yone has been kinda confirmed since Yasuo got a new suport card with Yone (the modern versioon with the mask and the red blade) on it. And since Yone is THE demon hunter of Runnetera, it would more than logic to pair him with the OG demon. (at least to release them in the same patch) so yeah the big scary stuff they all seem Lillia seems to see in ppls dream is Fiddle who has infected Lux dream, and then Lillia helps Lux to defeat her nightmare or smthg like that

Lux is very much a swarm champion, that's why some of her voicelines with champs like Tristana.
I wish Viego had an enemy line with Teemo. Like being absolutely confused why the Ruination doesn't affect him or something. Or an ally line with Lux instead of it being Tristana.
Doesn’t Fiddlesticks call Lux “little light” as well in one of their interactions??? Maybe the Aberrant Mageseeker is like a vestige or sign of his influence seeping in to meddle with people’s dreams 😮
That fake Mageseeker has gotta be Fiddlesticks. It really sounds like him based on how raspy its voice gets when it struggles to keep the facade. That or it can be a Fiddlesticks minion who is tasked with invading dreams and creating nightmares to bring fear into the real world which he feasts on.
