Wow, some folks have a lot of space but don't know how to utilize it as a great living space. It goes to show you, it's not what you have, but what you do with what you have!
Great view! She did as well as she could with an open space and her needs. I agree that it looks like there's a lot of furniture in there, but I think it's also the camera angles that mess with our perspective a bit.
How can this be a small space? (Well, My apartment should be tiny tiny...) It is a huge apartment with two bedrooms, just all open. I like the idea of make it to separated spaces by not doing difficult decorating works. She can also change the design easily when she feel bored with it. Very smart.
Does the word CLUTTER come to mind for any1 else besides me? I mean, how many plants, couches, and pieces of furniture - no matter how sleek and nice - can one fit b4 it goes from cozy and nice to claustrophobic?
there is a rubber mat, you can put it under any thing u do not want to move eg. mats, doilies (small cloth on coffee table) and toilet bowls..etc....that is what i use :)
if i have that space, i will use murphy bed and put rail on the wardrobe that i can move it near to the wall so on day time the bedroom sort of disappear. but i like how she organized the place
960 sq feet is not small but this loft seems smaller. My apartment is 850 sq feet and it seems big to me. I like but I would have but a curtian or something for the guest room and a curtian for a doorway in the main bedroom area.
I have yet to see an episode of Small Space, Big Style that features how a small space is designed for a small family, single parent with a toddler, etc....anyone seen an episode like that?
This is a beautiful space, but 970 Sq Feet is NOT a small space, esp for one person. I live in less than that and have raised a family and have 3 dogs. We have 3 bedrooms/bathroom/living room and large kitchen in 960 Sq Feet.
Regarding design programs, under 1000 square feet is considered SMALL under 500 is considered TINY. USA and Canada are large countries. May be different elsewhere. You can still appreciate and copy some of their design tips and tricks. But I get where you are coming from. I grew up with parents and 3 brothers in less than 1000 feet with one tiny kitchen and bathroom. You learn to make do with what you have.
@@serenakoleno9338 Yes, agreed. Lots of good tips. I was making a reference to how much space you can live in and be comfortable. We only have one bathroom so what I do is have a shower curtain, not a glass door so that others can use the rest of the bathroom while someone is in the shower. lol you do what you gotta do. haha
BEAUTIFUL DESIGN!!!! THE BALCONY AND VIEW ARE...STUNNING!!!

Beautiful! So warm and cozy and it sort of looks like a show room for furniture, in a good way.
Wish I had your design sense, I have a small place , you did give me some great ideas, thanks
Out of all the “Small Space, Big Style” episodes this is at the top of my list for my favorite.
Beautiful and Creative. I think she did an Excellent Job! One of my favorite episodes.
All i can say is that the dog is so cuuute!
I love that 960 square foot loft. I can see myself recreating some of her ideas for my space.
This is a beautifully designed apartment..love it

Unquestionably, great use of space without sacrificing style or function.

i love love love this apartment :D she's very talented in designing it :D and the view is amazing :D
Love the carpet tile idea!
My entire house in Santa Barbara, CA, was smaller. But she has done a really nice job. Anyone know where to get the wardrobe units? -Cheers
By the way, how do you keep the carpet tiles from moving out of place when people get in and out of the dining chairs?

The furniture seems too large for the space. It looks claustrophobic to me.
I Love it! so inspiring her style is so unique....:) *live life!
Very nice 👍🏻
I LOVE THE CLOSET !
Definitely my favorite
Where is this a small space? I mean seriously...... in my opinion it´s a big ass apartment

What is the problem with not having any installed closets?

I like this show but gets annoying when it cuts away to other designers just saying the same thing.
Small Space, Big Style features incredibly stylish homes, all measuring in at under 1,000 square feet.
too cluterred
Wasted space above her kitchen Cabinets...
i like exposed walls and industrial, but this screams, CHEAP WAREHOUSE!
This not small
To much furniture
Niet mooi. Ik Groetjes
