Trzecia edycja Soundsystem Street Festival odbyła się 14-08-2021 przy Przedmieściu Nyskim w Zgorzelcu.
W materiale wypowiadają się artyści, organizatorzy i uczestnicy imprezy, której wyjątkowa formuła przyciąga już fanów z daleka.

Są takie miejsca na świecie, gdzie „muzyka uliczna” to po prostu grzmiące pełną mocą sound systemy, zachęcające przechodniów do potraktowania trotuaru jako tanecznego parkietu. Tak jest od około 70 lat w kolebce tej kultury - na Jamajce. To wydarza się m.in. na największym europejskim ulicznym karnawale, londyńskim Notting Hill Carnival.
Do tej tradycji odwołujemy się z sukcesem od 2018 roku, kiedy odbyła się pierwsza edycja SSF - jedynej w Polsce imprezy, gdzie ściany głośników ustawiane są na głównej ulicy miasta.
Wierzymy, że taniec w rytmie piosenek niosących pozytywny przekaz jest znakomitą formą terapii w tych ciężkich czasach. Dobry odbiór dwóch poprzednich edycji potwierdza, że jest to właściwa droga.
Zgorzelec podtrzymuje piękną tradycję - w końcu to tutaj już pod koniec lat 80. ub. wieku odbywały się jedne z pierwszych sound systemowych imprez w Polsce.
Trzecia edycja imprezy to połączenie sprawdzonych już rozwiązań oraz wizyty twórców, którzy po raz pierwszy zagoszczą na festiwalu.
Wielkim honorem będzie po raz pierwszy gościć w Zgorzelcu DJ Percha z brytyjskiego Zion Train - jednego z fundamentów światowej sceny digital dub od ponad 30 lat. Swoje inicjacyjne sety na festiwalu zagrają znany w całym świecie producent reggae, dancehall, dub czy jungle Dreadsquad z Łodzi i Skank Ranger. Ponownie przybywają ekipy, które gościły już w Zgorzelcu ze swoją muzyką i własnoręcznie stworzonymi zestawami nagłośnieniowymi. Obecność krakowskiego Dubseed Sound System, trójmiejskiego Pandadread Sound System, częstochowskiego Rise Up! Sound System czy Jah Love Soundsystem z Warszawy to gwarancja dobrej muzyki wyemitowanej w perfekcyjny sposób. Powracają zaprzyjaźnione niemieckie ekipy Irie Ites Soundsystem & Lion's Den Soundsystem.
Silnym akcentem jest nawiązanie do chwalebnej tradycji tanecznej Zgorzelca i występy wywodzących się stąd DJ’ów - Xiędza Makena I z Joint Venture Sound System, Kosmos Mega Sound System, Chińzkiej Ambasady i DJ Siwego.
Na brzegu granicznej Nysy Łużyckiej manifestujemy jedność hasłem „one world, one people”.
W końcu jedyny dobry system to sound system.

There are places in the world where "street music" simply means sound systems booming music with full power, encouraging passers-by to treat the pavement as a dancefloor. For about 70 years that’s the case of Jamaica, the cradle of this lively culture. Among others, you can also feel it at London's Notting Hill Carnival, Europe's largest street carnival.
We have been successfully referring to this tradition since 2018, when the first edition of the SSF took place, the only event in Poland where speaker walls are placed on the main street of the city.
We believe that dancing to the rhythm of songs carrying a positive message is an excellent form of therapy in these difficult times. The good reception of the two previous editions confirms that this is the right path.
Zgorzelec continue its great tradition - at the end of the 1980s one of the very first sound system events in Poland took place here.
The third edition of the event is a combination of checked solutions and shows of the artists who will be perform at the festival for the first time.
It is a great honor to host DJ Perch from the British Zion Train, main foundation of the global digital dub scene for over 30 years, for the first time in Zgorzelec. The world-famous reggae, dancehall, dub, jungle producer Dreadsquad from Łódź or Skank Ranger will play their initiation sets at the festival.
The crews that have already visited Zgorzelec are coming again with their music and massive DIY sound systems. The presence of Krakow's Dubseed Sound System, Tricity's Pandadread Sound System, Częstochowa's Rise Up! Sound System or Jah Love Soundsystem from Warsaw is always a solid guarantee of good music presented in a perfect way. The befriended German crews Irie Ites Soundsystem & Lion's Den Soundsystem return to the town.
A strong accent is the reference to the glorious dance tradition of Zgorzelec and performances of DJs originating from here - Priest Maken I from Joint Venture Sound System, Kosmos Mega Sound System, Chińzka Ambasada and DJ Siwy.
On the Polish-German borderline at the banks of Nysa Łużycka, we manifest unity with the slogan "one world, one people".
After all, the only good system is the sound system.
