Emart actually owns a lot of grocery chains here in the states now.. so there’s a possibility of an emart opening here! I think something similar or a branch of it is opening in LA!
Emart, Lotte Mart, and Homeplus are fantastic, but the best place to shop in Korea is DAISO 다이소. Everything is only one or two bucks there. If you're on a tight budget, this is definitely the place to go!
Cream cheese in the US varies, like if it’s just basic plain it’s not too much but flavored Phili is pretty expensive , it’s like $4 for the same size you showed
They've started selling Bibigo at the Meijer near me in KY and you don't even know how excited I was! The closest Asian mart to me is like 30 mins away so I was pumped to be able to get it on my weekly grocery trip
Yes, I enjoyed this one. It reminded me of those chat videos you used to do in the two-story apt. like when you'd try foods and answer questions. I'd love to see a part 2 for this one.
Living in New York City, I think the closest thing to e-mart would be target. The prices even for the more expensive items aren’t too bad but then again I know people living in suburbia could get it cheaper. The dumpling selection is unbelievable! I think I would have to travel out to one of the huge H Mart’s in Queens to find that kind of selection, if it is even possible.
In Hawaii, Cream cheese is about the same price. Since May 2020, food prices have increased by $1-$2. My husband and I strive to buy local food as much as we can. Yes, I would love to see another Emart video.
what're your thoughts on Korean-Italian food? On all of the media I see, Korea-Italian food looks very...interesting...but curious to know your thoughts!
I think its hit and miss! Ive had some amaaaazing Italian food here, and I’ve had some that isn’t anything special. Smaller, local restaurants tend to do really good Italian food as opposed to big pizza chains etc
10:21 They really DO have a huge variety of cheese... I can even spot a type of sliced traditional Norwegian brown (whey) cheese, "Fløtemysost" (the brown/orange pack in the middle). I know it is sold a few places in Korea, but seeing it in e-mart now, I freaked out
Love this video! 💕 Emart is cheaper than where I live 😭! When I visit I wanna go! 🥺 someday… also, they just started selling Bibigo at my grocery store it’s the BOMB! 💣
16:12 When you leave your kid for a second at the mart. I love E-mart but I have a soft spot for homeplus. I feel every mart has something better priced than the other. Like cereals are cheaper at top mart, but almond milk was a few hundred won cheaper at homeplus. Now I order half the stuff online.
Omg that variety of almond flavours is insane! I get honey butter and tiramisu here in the uk. They also do wasabi. I’ve seen honey butter in HK Singapore and bali but not alllll of those! Damn I can’t wait to visit Korea for work some day. As a flight attendant I get 64kg weight limit. Best believe I’m taking an empty suitcase with me 😂
After eating korean yoghurt i noticed how good german yoghurt is 😅😅😅 i only get yoghurt from nobrand and also creamcheese from there😍 or costco has so nice products P.s. dont buy masks in emart o.o they have 10+10 for 10k which is normal price in korea if you go some other shops it is actually same and you get a lot of samples with it I bought 20+20 for 15k in coupon last time which i still use 😅🥳
I feel nowadays all country is same category but some thing is more variety or not like that . I guess in Korea not eat a lot cheese and bring to other country that happen more expensive here cheese
This is so cool! I live about hour outside NYC. Here today that size Philadelphia cream cheese is $4.29 in shoprite. Probably cheaper at Walmart though. Does emart do sales? Cream cheese definitely goes on sale often here.
For a tube of cream cheese here it’s 4$ it’s about the same size as the one you showed. You can also get a box of cream cheese for 2$ it’s cheaper bc of the packaging I believe.
can you use american cards there like first national?? i’m going to seoul next year and i’m so nervous that i won’t be able to exchange currency and will have to use a card. i’m so excited tho!
I can’t believe how much plastic packaging in on food in Korea 🤯 everything is wrapped!! The waste must be huge wow. We have mostly individual fruit and veg and most things are in paper now in Australia.
there's so much english in the store imagining how, if there was even half the amount of foreign language in a walmart outside of the "ethnic" section a lot of americans would combust lol
I heard avocados said mangoes are ridiculously expensive in Korea. Holy crap, no kidding. Edit: well, I was going to correct the spelling but it sounded hilarious that avocado told on mangoes, so I left it alone. 🤣
@Hot coke Hopefully they have a FTA with many other South East Asian countries that can supply these items. In the US, there isn't any terrific imposed on these items so the prices are very cheap.
I don’t trust korean bread. One time I was craving garlic bread and it was super sweet. There were many things that were unexpectedly sweet but i guess that’s just an acquired taste 🤷♀️
Leave a comment on this vlog and thumbs up if you want to see PART 2! 🛒🥖💛

Yes luv daiso for small stuff I need around the house !~

This is fun! I’d like to see future grocery trips :) I think E-Mart does seem like a blend of Wal-Mart and Target.
Will shoot more in the future!
So enjoy seeing you guys shop together and just hang out. Would love to see Part 2. ❤❤
Thanks Debbie! Part 2 soon 🥰

I'm honestly surprised how comparable the prices are to what I buy now! Makes me feel so much more comfortable about moving there in the spring 😊

I love Korean supermarket! Can't wait to go back...It looks like fruits are more expensive there compared to the states.

“Holy shit” 😭😂
Maybe regular e-mart videos to show off the seasonal items would be fun!
Oooo love this idea
Philadelphia cream cheese is half the price in the States.
I always buy no brand. hahaha It's probably made in the same factory as the branded one.
Oh wooooooow I didn’t realize the price was so different! Yes i agree - prob made the exact same way
Four avocados for $8 is so nice. Haha. I can buy one for almost $4. Food prices in general are going up though. Enjoyed this blog!
Omg really!? Where do you live?
We are being spoilt with another video❤️
Enjoy!❤️

Thanks for the love ❤️
I'm so jealous. HBAF almonds are literally $11.99 a bag here :(
Dannnng that’s expensive
Truly enjoy your vlogs. Emart is no where near a walmart or target. Emart is way better.
😍😍😍 sooo true girl
EMART IS LIFE

We want to film at costco next!
@@adriennehilll Yes!!! You should
15:28 Lindt is pricey here in Connecticut too. I think I got a bar for that same price but it's worth it haha

Part 2 please!?
Ok!:)
Where is this emart specifically...?
Where in Seoul is it located?
Do you know if they have dark rye bread in Korea? We love it in Denmark since it is more healthy than White 😊

not gonna lie, all that individually wrapped plastic foods just gives me anxiety. Wish they (everyone) would use paper bags!
Ahhh i hate it too!
All of the plastic makes me cringe D:
so much unnecessary plastic :(
