Multiple reasons, for one, they have a seperate team for it that helps make unique stuff, Mobile gaming is also much more accessible since basically everyone owns a phone nowadays and mobile gaming as whole makes a lot of money. Even if main game of DBD dies after a while, the mobile version may still live on for way longer, especially since the only competition it has on mobile is IDV. I could really see DBD mobile getting it’s own exclusive killers and survivors at one point.

To be fair, I think because they just re-use the assets BHVR makes for the main game, they have more freedom to do stuff like this.

Doesn't matter if they add rank because people will still do casual as a try hard. Dead by daylight isn't a competitive game and isn't meant to be.
the game literally has to incentivize players to change roles to keep queue times "stable" during many times of the day, imagine sitting in a ranked queue that does nothing to change the game in any way for 3x as long

I'm extremely skeptical on this change, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out as someone who doesn't play dbd mobile. I suspect people will all just play casual using the same meta builds and ranked mode will be dead.

one of the features i love the most in dbd mobile is the fact that when you buy items as survivor you get them for all survivors, i think that is legit one of the best features and if it were to be added to regular dbd everyone would praise behavior

LMFAO, they literally gave the game away to another company after ghosting the community for a year. They advertise it as a "health update" when in reality it's just a different company remaking the game from scratch.
they really need to bring those futures to PC and Console

Dbd with a good non-toxic swf is so much better than solo queue, Xbox look for games and party chat helps but I'll take any in-game features that make it easier for solo queues to team up
I got the new DBD mobile, but I had to make a new account, so I lost all the characters that I had, I hate new controls, and hate that you cann’t earn cell points like you could before. 😡
Honestly my biggest take away of this video is that apparently the killer gameplay mega in DBDMobile is to vault every single window every time.
They are bots. You saw the ghost face stop instead of hitting him at the t wall. On mobile all bots will stop for a second on windows and pallets instead of hitting you even though they are close enough for the hit.
its actually quite easy to detect if its a bot or not cuz I've been playing dbd mobile for awhile and a player wouldn't do such things, they just vault everytime and gonna stutter whenever they chasing you and oh yeah they also gonna tunnel you for the entire game if you don't get enough distance
hes playing against bots. i dont mean that as an insult i mean actual bots, you can tell by the snappy movement
God why can't we see this on PC and console versions. This would literally be a godsend for those versions. Ranked and quick play especially
Ranked and Quickplay works on mobile because it’s most likely going to have a larger playerbase. You asking for ranked and quick play in main game is essentially asking to double your queue times lmao.

Never thought I would say this but wow, the mobile verson looks so insanely good. Like, much better and more accessible. That's both amazing and disappointing.
Also, since watching this channel Ive really realized that the devs (for the pc/console at least) are insanely dumb lmao.

As an Identity V player this is a hilarious development actually. I know that DBD and netease have teamed up before so it's not like I'm saying that negatively but wow, things rly have come full circle huh.
With DBD helping IDV (a mobile game) out and now the DBD mobile version is taking notes from IDV.

I do think a nice rework to the minor/worthless perks and addons we already have + some more skins for characters without much would be better than a new half baked killer/perks.

Most of this new features were firstly on dbd's mobile little brother identity V since the developer its netease on the new version of dead by daylight and identity V
Fun fact: Netease and behaviour partner up to make up Identity V on 2017 so the experience they have both its well known
so it makes sense and fits perfectly on dbd too, great additions!

If anything, this just shows that it's sad and almost pathetic that the mobile version gets better updates and newer features before console/pc do, even though mobile hasn't been out for as long as the others.
LMAO this game became so toxic and a joke now. It's so sad since they added the chat feature. It's ether guys with so call packs as there pfp or guys with anime pics and try hit on catfishes. They honestly think a hot female will waste her time and money on and a game to rank 1 and looking for a male companion. While the guys think they lucky and got a shot with a hot female gamer. The so hot female gamer is just a guy looking for someone to play with because they lonely. Honestly, the actual main console/PC version of the game needs a health update. Many of it's outdated designs is really crippling the game
On DBDM there is a glitch with teachable perks so if you had a lvl 40+ character all the teachable perks are still locked and you have to basically level up them for pretty much lvl 0 or go for a prestige
wont lie.. the work the mobile team has done on the game has made the original look like an import... like the genuinely need to get these people working on the original game too
I hope when this new version of dbd mobile is done and out they put in the new dead hard because the old one is annoying and you can’t bait their dead hard as killer

This makes sense as you can see, mobile is approx 1-2 years behind pc in updates. They still got old DH, no basekit BT, the old haddonfield etc
As a mobile player, I can tell you that, at least in my region, the casual mode is absolute hell because nobody plays it so que times are absolutely fucked
Why not play ranked?
Well that’s the point that most people play ranked because nobody plays the casual mode. Especially in my region it’s a lot of ultra competitive Mexican players.
Not that their race is important it’s just funny how many times you get bullied on the game only to have the survivor who t bagged you at the gate say, “Lo siento”🤣
i played a lot of dbdm in these past years. i even have a video of what dbdm looks 2 years ago. in the current dbdm, hitbox is so sht and also a lot of hackers. hope that in the upcoming rework, they will do it right. im really excited bout the leaderboards because as I, myself has been a rank 1 player consistently in these past few months.
I'm a killer main, And the hacker's problem is still hella bad rn. These guys crouch with the speed of probably a hillbilly sprint.
I have no choice but to leave as they seem to do gen REALLY FAST, Can't confirm it tho.
Thankfully, I get them every 10-30-Games

3:35 now the dbd devs truly have no excuse, dbd mobile which likely has a much smaller playerbase and often lags out on dlcs (probably because of the smaller playerbase) got two separate game queues for ranked and quickplay.
They do have an excuse - queue times.
BHVR literally had to incentify players to play roles via bloodpoints. Imagine the same thing but with 2 gamemodes - that would be awful
Crazy how much better managed this game is compared to the "main" one. And they get alternate mori animations and more interesting skins.
I wish I could stomach mobile gaming though.
Something I don't think a lot of people are accounting for, is that it's easier to do updates for Mobile games than it is the other platforms. There's less hurdles to get stuff out, and most games have a solid starting point in comparison.
While I do think BHVR could get more consistent updates out, it does make sense why they don't. Their code is a mess, there's multiple hurdles to jump through in order for Consoles to get the updates vs PC, they're often working on many things ahead of time, general inefficiencies within the company, etc.

DBD dont need to be on mobile, fix the issues on console and pc, and leave it there. things like this is what prevents pc and console games from getting the attention they need.

My problem with them doing "health updates" for DBD is the engine is shoddy, aged, outdated, and barely held together by dreams and staples
they really need to pull and overwatch on DBD and just relaunch the game on an entirely new engine.

I really want cross progression on mobile so I can genuinely play on the go while still leveling up my characters and getting shards etc. (no crossPLAY though (at least forced) that would be awful). Because DBD Mobile now is just "oh ill play a game for two for fun" but never seriously play to get good and level up opposed to just playing on pc.

Now BHVR just need to patch the PC version to fix the way the game encrypts player data (or lack thereof) and fix the god awful way the dedicated servers run to make the game safe and not borderline illegal in half of the developed world because most places have privacy laws.
