- Produced by MGM in 1925, this rare full-length silent film was filmed at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and endorsed by the Department of the Navy.
It’s amazing to see how different the Yard was when this was filmed compared to what it looks like now. Their parades were held right in from of Mother B. No T-court, Tecumseh, Stribling Walk although the Gazebo was still there. This move had a lot of historic footage. Glad to have watched it.
Cinema has certainly changed over time. Great to see how things were.
My Ramon Navarro...I love you!
HE BELONGS ONLY TO GOD NOW !
good movie
"Rare" really isn't the word for it. One of the relatively few Ramon Novarro silent movies that exist but aren't available in any form on home video. Been looking for this for a long time! Thanks.
You're probably right and looks like you're a lot more knowledgeable on the subject, I'll change the title but glad you enjoyed it.
HOW and WHERE did you find it !! thanx for sharing it was a very nice movie !
That's Joan Crawford at about the 46:03 minute mark!

At 45:25 the NAACP must have fainted.
