BTW, I recommend using this mod with Plutonia 2, Alien Vendetta, The Community Chest series, and Doom 2 Reloaded. I had a few problems with it in Scythe 2 when encountering an Afrit(I think it's because it's a DeHacked monster.) I think there is also a custom monster pack for this mod specifically.
Over 2 decades later and Doom still has some of the best gun play out of any FPS i've played. Especially with the brutal Doom mod it just feels awesome blasting the living shit out of things. I thought the recent reboot was awesome but the weapons didn't feel nearly as good as they do in classic Doom.
Brutal Doom is the gateway. A novel spectacle for a long, long time. Gameplay wise, it's barely scratching the surface of gameplay mod depth. Try out Nashgore with just about anything. Nashgore + Weapons of Saturn is a nice BD-lite that scratches the itch when I feel like playing not-BD, but the tactical shooter-esque play that BD turns into as you play harder and harder WADs. Explosive encounters with very low TTK. But then having decals maxed, with absurdly high sprite limit and it becomes something more than the sum of it's parts.
Maybe you've made something like this already, but I would love to see a quick video listing a variety of your favourite map wads/megawads. Sort of similar to what you did with the GZDoom tutorial, just a quick "Hey, here are some awesome map wads you should try out and here's where you get 'em".

Its a fun wad. My only issue is upgrades requiring you kill a specific monster. I played through all of "Knee-Deep in the Dead" and only saw one of those Shadow guys. and it was in the room you fight the last 2 barons. I finally got to upgrade my weapons, 30 seconds from the end of the episode..
Don't know if I'll get any help with this, but, I'll try anyway. I seem to be the only one that has this problem or the only one that has said anything about it. When I boot up Lithium, no matter if it's the base DOOM 2 or a map pack, it runs fine until I actually start playing it. You see, the problem is, I can't see my gun, I can move around, fire, swap weapons and all, but my display of said weapons, is gone, it shows up for a millisecond when the level starts but then POOF it's gone. I want to play Lithium but this keeps happening, I don't know what to do.
11:50 77777777 is a reference to Marathon (Marathon, Marathon 2, Marathon Infinity). The description text makes fun of that game. 7 is a famous number in that game. The story in that game is about various AIs going rampant (aka basically going rogue) and one of those AIs is named Durandal. Durandal calculates that the end of the universe is coming in many many years and basically wants to find a way to escape the universe before it closes on itself (from gravity of the planets -- apparently the universe stopped expanding and started to shrink).
I don't know what this has to do with lithium though. It seems to me like it should have been called something else and more meaningful. Like "Doom Alternate Weapons Pack 4" or something.
I can't figure out how to get this to start up. I think it's outdated or something. It keeps freezing when checking for a network connection on launch. It's not a firewall issue either. Checking in with the dev on this one. EDIT: Fixed it. My system is acting a little strange after an update.
