You guys should go to Riu, Negril as well. But pick Riu Palace is a better choice. The hotel is next to each other. We will go to ocho rios riu in december 😊
The riu keeps us going back with their food, hope yall get to check out the riu in los cobos they have the most amount of parties!!!! to much entertainment

I went to montego bay resort the food was pretty good I don't have too many complaints just one day the customer service was a little bad but I understand they're dealing with a bunch of people so I didn't trip too much about it. I'm going to ocho rios in July so hopefully I have a pretty decent experience there. I enjoyed you'll views of both properties very informative.

I was at the ocho Riu back in November last year my first time visiting the island and i truly enjoyed myself, the water was heavenly would go get my beach bath early morning and then later in the day, hospitality was great i think everyone was so helpfull, i think the entertainment especially for the adults could have been better soo now I will have to experience the Montego Bay side. Love to hear your reviews keep it up.😊❤ 🇹🇹

I just was recently at Ocho Rios location (july2-9) and I was pleased with the renovations. The food was ok. I got bored of it being the same things. Breakfast though I loved. What I did miss was the club they use to have after the entertainment. The beach was good but at times the seaweed was annoying. The room was good too but often moist. With that being said they will eventually has issues with mold. But I still loved it!!!

@@ShenLG there was some seaweeds at certain parts which I would find another spot to be lol The customer service was great, can’t complain.

@mikehunt3007 we've just come back from jamiaca. We stayed at the riu negril for 1 week at Christmas and then went to the Riu reggae in mobay for new year. The later was very disappointing and only 3-4 star accommodation. There's 3 riu hotels together. Riu montego bay, riu Palace and riu reggae. We ended up spending our beach time at the Riu montego bay. For over 50's I'd go to the Riu montego bay out of those 3 but personally I'd stay at the riu negril. It felt so much better to be there. People were happier and more relaxed. The entertainment was great. People of all ages with 4 pools and it had a real beach. The staff were better and the management and site was much better. Its on the beach side of the island with good sunsets and is more rural than the others being in a city. The beach at the riu reggae wasn't real sand. Its adult only and most people are around 25 -45. The staff that are hired from the local area are just different from the city. The staff from the country in negril were much happier and friendly. Working there must really get to them. There's too much drinking goes on as that's all there is to do and alot of drugs aswell. Morbay area itself isn't how we expected at all. U can't even really go of the complex. Thankfully we booked trips but everything is so expensive and sadly the money doesn't filter down to the people of jamaica. I've never seen poverty like there is in jamaica. The vibe and everything in negril was so much better. And no planes over head every few mins. Can be 10 - 15 a day...God knows what the people who pay a fortune to go to the sandals either side must think. My advice would be to do your research. Jamaica is an expensive country to travel to so decide what u want to do. It was very different from what we thought. Overall we had a good experience but without the trips we'd have seen nothing of the real jamaica. The resort was just a man made tourist trap. The food was ok but not great. We ate at the Italian most nights as that seemed the best food. The drinks at the hotel are plentiful but are not great quality. Alot of sugar and alot of chemicals and sometimes 1/2 full of rum etc.The time on the bus travelling to places was enjoyable and meeting jamaica people was too. Such a beautiful country but its so undeveloped and poor. The people are mostly great but be prepared for hassle and hussle. Be polite and say no and ull be ok. There's no real tourist related crime but it can be intimidating.
We made it a good experience and I would go back but not to montego bay. We passed the riu at ocho rios and it looked big and good. We've watched vids of it since and it looks good. We thought montego was the place to go but if we had our time again we'd have done a week at negril and a week at ocho rios. It's close to the blue hole and dunns River falls and blue mountains.

I agree with you one hundred percent. I had to look for a table, my own utensils and I had to beg for a cup of tea. At one point I wanted a fried dumpling and the chef held onto them until the ground provision was done. Bad experience.
Yes the Ocho Rios branch is not the best, but we would reccommend the montego bay location.

Well Rui is a solid option, We preferred Montegobay for the food but Ocho Rios was really fun

I agree with you guys, ocho rios food wasn't good, no variety to choose from and it was the same everyday. Customer service was not good either. Im gonna try Mobay because of you guys

Guys i spent 5 days at the Riu in ocho Rios and never once was i was left unattended as soon as you sit down someone was there to attend to you, also Ocho Rios restaurants tables were all preset before you go for you meals so no one would need to attend to you more than pour your drinks or coffee. Guys you need to go back to Ocho Rios and experience the hotel again because i've been there 5 times now and montego definitely isn't the best.

@@ShenLG All the Rius have the same look, rooms good, customer service not bad but the food wasn't all that....when I checked in, the dining area I went had a bag a flies omg smh
Montego bay is alot more boring and the food is worse. I go to jamaica for jamaican food and ochie was way better with that. I guess to each his own but I did not like montego bay. Most montego bay resorts are too americanized

Negril is a mess!
