It's interesting how we each perceived music, for me, this sounds serene and calming, like a beautiful spring day amongst nature. Incredible song either way. Cheers!
thank you. I don't know, but I think Fahey saw the movie in the states and was impressed with the music and then composed this song. Unfortunately without mentioning Ravi Shankar ...
Sounds great! I have been trying to teach myself this song for months but I figured out by ear that the original was in drop B. Did you transpose it? Or am I wrong about the drop B idea? Seemed odd given Fahey is so often in drop C
Masterfully done.
This is magical. Wonderful playing and sweet guitar. Fahey would be proud.
Thank you!
Excellent. Fahey based this in the main theme from the Indian movie Pather Panchali (sp) by Sajiyat Ray.
Wonderfully played. I’ve been wanting to learn this song for a while now, and seeing you play helped me out a ton. Thanks for posting
I'm happy for you, thanks
Beautifully played mate.
homage to a fave of mine -- long build up --beautiful and poignant and then beautiful again
This song is just so incredible, so sad and haunting
Thank you, we have to thank Jphn Fahey!

I think that Fahey used C tuning halftone down, but for me it is too low so I used an open C
