What!!!! Two of my favorite RUclipsrs, ever, talking together like their besties!?!!?! Am I dreaming? You guys are awesome! I lost a pivot cup once!! I had the same question... “how in the blank do you loose a pivot cup!?” Ride home was very interesting, to say the least, staying on the side walk near impossible 🤣
Wow! Thanks for the sanity check at the end. I'm 34, I've never skated in my life, but I keep seeing these Esk8 boards everywhere I look. I've been drooling at them for over a year, but anytime I mention wanting to get into it to friends or family they go "Act your age" or "You have a kid, you can't be doing that stuff anymore" or "That's way too dangerous for you to try and start now". I keep thinking that this could be a fun hobby to get into WITH my kiddo (who's almost 12 now). After seeing your video, and some of the comments... I'm feeling a lot better about jumping it and giving it a go. Thanks!
Yeah as adults with responsibilities we can’t be breaking bones and stuff. But there are definitely ways to minimize risk while learning and riding. This post may be helpful as well: dkwan.com/questions/how-to-start-e-skating-at-40-years-old/
Guess my first post got nixed by the YT gods. Daniel love your content thank you for a great channel. I am 67 and I have been longboarding for 2 weeks with my 11 year old grandson. Your channel has helped us so much.
Thanks Dan. Been riding for 3 1/2 yr. recovering from 2 fractured ribs separation ac joint in shoulder Dr said full body armor saved me from internal injuries and hospital stay, I am a noob at 63 yrs old, I also wear a full face helmet, been watching you since I started. Thanks for all the info, stay safe!
From a total old noob, THANKS!!🤜🤛👊🙏 I'm a 52 yr old motorcycle racer who just purchased his first electric skateboard, thanks for the confidence and content!!👍🏼🔥
Such a cool video! I am 41 and started skating for the first time only a couple months ago. For me the mental health benefits in particular have been immense. Thank you for this video.
I'm 34 and just started e skating this year.I really liked the last tip, for me e skating has helped with my health and my mental health. Not only does it help get me out of the house and being more active if I'm ever feeling down or depressed I'll go for a skate and it helps me forget and feel free it's like I'm flying along dreaming
I'm 36, with no skating background, and always in front of a PC screen. Recently ordered a Meepo, but nervous about beginning to learn. You and this video have me motivated and really excited to get off my butt too. 😃 Thanks!
@@user-pt8oo6pw9n that sounds like a lot of fun! The shipping to Germany only took 6 days. And it came from China. Th thing is I’m first allowed to ride it at Christmas because my parents paid 150$ of it.
I bought mine two days ago, how long was it till they at least processed your order? I still haven’t heard anything other than the purchase confirmation email. It might be because I live in the states and they won’t ship until the 15th, or at least what it looked like on their website
@@CJ-ix3tw i looked up tracking and after one day it was in koblenz (500km) away from me and today (one day later) it's in the city near me but i haven't gotten any emails from them so if you have a tracking number you could look it up
Excellent last point: I started eBoarding during the pandemic at my late 50s! So thanks for all the tips as I already used 100% of all you mentioned but I still watch this video if you from time to time as a reminder and refresher. In retrospect, I am glad I decided to start eBoarding,, since 2020 I have put in approximately 1000km annually from Spring to the late autumn, which is as late as I can and just before the snow comes… :-) In fact, as a snowboarder for more than 20years, I like eBoarding more now simply because I am no longer limited to just one geographical location, not to mention it also saves me gas, time and money (for the ski hill lift passes) … Keep up the great 👍 work on your reviews. A fan from Canada
I'm 57. Started Esk8, 4yrs. ago. "Don't try this at home!!!" I'm not all there, lol. Just wasn't going to grab a rocking chair till I "lived" the dream. I know the cost involved. Debit or charge? That my late midlife crisis issue. Great video D! Listen to him.
Absolutely right on life change. Not only for routine and general life style like you mentioned but also on a social level. If you are someone who hasn't had a lot of friends you might end up with some one-day because you decided to start e Skating. It's pretty awesome. Awesome video.
I'm 33 and I just bought my first e skate ( g2 black) I use to skate as a teen but with family life and work I think getting this eskate will change my life and get me back in a healthy state of mind
started at 48..Watched you,Agent Phillips, and Ronnie S before I purchased my first board. I went with the Beast Board.Helmet/Knee Pads/Elbow Pads/gloves & Vans. I don't get out often with the weather in Colorado, but that hasn't stopped me from my fair share of falling. Thanks for the age share DK..I appreciate you guys..I never thought to look for a Facebook ride group
Wow. That’s awesome. I’m 44, just got the Meepo NLS pro. I’ve been out everyday skating just about. Your absolutely right dude! I also built a deck I wanted from the 80’s. Yah, I’ve been skating a while. Lol. Thanks man.
Thanks for the vid, the last statement hit me real hard. I am a film producer/director in California and have a very similar lifestyle. I work from home, I don't get out much, don't like gyms and sit at a computer almost 17 hours a day working. To hear that esk8ing helped you to get up and get out of the house gives me hope. My first eboard will be here tomorrow. I have skated longboard when I was younger but fell out of it over the years. I am 38 now and have severe sciatica and arthritis throughout my body from years of working manual labor and martial arts. going to the gym is severely physically painful for me and in order to go I have to be on pain killers. I am hoping that the eboard will help me to gradually start getting out and get my body moving again. According to my Dr this will help with the arthritis and could in turn help with the sciatica. The risk of injuries has never been an issue for me as I have done more extreme sports like bmx, motocross, rock climbing, etc. all my life. The part that scares me is when I woke up and couldn't move my legs for 30-40 minutes because the nerve in my spine was pinched so bad. I don't want this to get any worse, when you stop moving you start to die so thank you for the boost of confidence that this may be the right path for me to go down. Keep up the awesome, informative videos and stay safe while you ride.
thats a trip dude i just got my Acedeck Stella S3 and im 35, Figured all i do is game and work in IT so im always at a computer. This gets me out a bit doing something other than sitting.
Recently got into e-skating in my 30s after considering it for over a year. Your channels been a big help, and I find it even more comforting that youre in your 30s too lmao. I feel so old to just be starting this, but I love it.
Yup I'm turning 39 I'm in great shape, I bought a backfire g3 which will be here in a few days. I think that long boarding will help keep me feeling 25. Your awesome bro.
I'm 57, just ordered my 1st E-SK8 the Hurricane. Rode skate parks as a kid but still ride DH mtn. bikes. I believe if you want to feel like a kid you have to play like one and don't ever stop or you will lose it.
Number 1 is the top thing to understand. Cant agree more. Number 3 makes it easier to roll when you fall becasue you are lower to the ground. Learning to rollwill significantly reduce injury. Nothing worse than planking while riding and is usually a sign of a novice. Great content
I started bombing hills on a longboard at 48. Now I have (12) longboards and recently got my first E-board (Exway Flex Riot). Love it all. Love the channel
I love your tenth point. I started skating a month ago (age 33). My dog is more active, I feel more awake before work by taking him for a good skate/walk before work, he’s faster and more efficient on those walks, I’m able to explore more of my surroundings, I’m less self conscious because I feel like it’s the way I mean to be seen, and I can explore other places with my dog when we take road trips! Also, thanks for your pro-safety message about the pandemic at the end.

Nice! I actually have a workout routine I do 3X a week while incorporating e-skating. A bit unconventional but it’s been working fine for me and I’ve been enjoying it. I have a Ranger X2 and I’ll skate to a park with a big field by my house, there I’ll do 20 lateral jumps over the board, then 20 push-ups on the board, 60 toe taps on the board (kinda like running in place), 20 Squats, then repeat 3-4X depending on how I feel that day. The field is usually empty and it’s nice working out there alone before skating home
Great video and advice !!
You can have a little more range if you use aerodynamic posture when riding a electric skateboard. If your drive train belts doesn't last long, get the ROMP belt. The ROMP belts lasts over a year for me.
thanks Grandpa

Love your content. I really appreciate the effort you're putting into each video, it's very professional. Keep it up 😁
Loved the video and loved the wear a mask comment. Appreciate u man!
Good video DK!
Saw someone doing slides - please make a video about how to slide on different boards and wheels.
Nice production! One of my tips is to change your grip tape after a couple of years on the same board. This will help keep you on the board and with options for padded grip tape it could smooth out most of the vibrations and lock your feet in even more. Also a proper pair of skate shoes makes a big difference with foot fatigue, responsiveness and grip.
Noice vid Daniel. Great advice!
Finally the first person other than me that lost a pivot cup. It was probably due to the road vibrations slowly breaking it
Great video! I really liked tip number 10!
Excellent and to the point!

Not sure what to look for for a truck that’s going to break but good to be aware that trucks break! On both normal and electric boards.
@@DanielKwan Yes, strange , but maybe in the long run, surf adapters are not made for speed above 30-40kmh. (New niche for the E-market ;)
Same history. "C" truck. Kingpin broke sudenly but in non-electric board. But I rode it for a 100-250? hours.
Useful video! Thanks!!! 😂
Is it a good idea to use electric skateboard for Food deliveries like Uber?
Great as usual. Let me know if you come around foshan and need a guide
