Beautiful! Have always wanted to try William Morris style art, so it might take a bit but I'm going to enjoy learning, that's for sure. Very helpful instructions, thank you!
Thank you! Cheers! I'm glad you found my instructions helpful, and don't forget you can change what you like to suit your own style of drawing too! Arts and crafts, inspired by medieval manuscripts and so on, is wonderful for sure!
Wonderful! I'm so glad you discovered you can draw the flower! And you'll get the hang of the leaves with practice I'm sure! Of course, it's your drawing and you can have any leaves you like! Thank you for letting me know you could follow the video xxx
Beautiful! While I haven’t used (or even seen!) spray ModPodge, I think you can’t directly compare the cost of the spray to the liquid as I think you’ll not use much of the spray. Probably 1 or 2 light coats? I’m going to look for some out of curiosity. I normally don’t use ModPodge because I’ve found it to be very sticky even after dry. I think it depends a lot on climate….
True about the price comparison. I've not tried it yet. Most of my drawing lately has been with water soluble inks and I think that even spray mod podge would cause some of the ink to dissolve and spread. I must remember to try out Distress Glaze on the mod podge to see if that stops any stickiness. I will share the results of that experiment in a video soon (and if I don't, just give me a nudge!), Climate may very well have an effect on stickiness. As it doesn't dry completely waterproof (lightly water resistant), it will absorb moisture from the air in a humid environment. With all the rain and humidity in the days afterwards there was a little stickiness on one or two of the mod podged drawings. When I first did them I think it was warm and dry.
To draw the flower I used 05 Unipin and 01 Pigma Micron pens. If I showed the empty pen you fill yourself from Daler Rowney, it was the bullet tip one. I hope that helps.
Sorry, I'd forgotten there were different sizes. I have the 1mm version as I often draw tiny details. The nib is stiff enough that it's easy to get into fairly small areas. I now hope that has helped :-)
I love it 🙂

What a great idea! Love it! May I ask what the nib size is of your Daler Rowney pen?

@@AngelaPorter .. not quite, sorry. I would like to know what size the tip is. I can choose 1 or 2 mm.

@@AngelaPorter Thaaaaaanks. Now I will order a 1mm nib too 😀🫶👍🏼. Love to learn from you.
