Measuring flour, it counts as processing it by the way. Processing doesn't automatically mean it's unhealthy. Even the cleanest ingredients are all refined/processed.
@@asmrwellrest Enriching is just the process of adding back in the Iron and other vitamins lost in the refining of the flour(required to even use it). It's required for a healthy diet when using alot of flour(like we do).
Yes and that’s not healthy because most of the nutrients are still gone from the flour and it’s turned into a refined carb. Better to use a different kind of flour or no flour at all
lol would you believe me that i’m up early watching this video as I’m working on making dough for my donut business?? i’m with you, they’re unhealthy to eat as a regular part of your diet. i can’t remember the last time i ate one even though i make them for a living. however, i think a treat every once in a while is good for people too. i make vegan donuts and and I make them from scratch, so they’re moderately better than preservative filled commercial donuts. i could make them with “healthier” alternatives likes date sugar or gluten free flours or not fry them in oil, but i ultimately think that makes a much less tasty and satisfying product, so i don’t do that. a donut shouldn’t be your breakfast every day. it should be a treat, and i’d like to make the most enjoyable treat. for me personally it’s more important to try to eat a healthy balanced regular diet with unhealthy things here and there than to try to make my desserts healthy, but that’s just how I see it for myself. nice video!
Oh yes I understand your perspective. It’s true that they’re a treat and not to be eaten all the time. I would bake some with date sugar and see if people like them because date sugar is still pretty sweet but better than regular sugar.

Yes but I was mainly focused on wheat flour in the video. Enriched wheat flour isn’t healthy
