2:32 The gag where Davey slides down the stairs and runs into Whitey who was at the top and then looks back up in confusion is actually really funny. Shame they didn’t keep it in.
Sister whips out a trombone for a solo that would have made Sinatra proud. Great jazz montage. And thanks for the work it took to show the story boards. It’s awesome!
yeah thats the point of the video, it's to show off the storyboards. i spent a few hours going back and adding them in to see the production development,
@@afternoonsummer I was more so referring to what could've been. In the storyboards you've shown, the shot seems to circle around the three. In the official version, the shot remains mostly still.
@@afternoonsummer Btw since you're here, do you know the original lyrics of 2:32 by any chance? I think the lyrics were intended to be different here. "Use this horn as a bong" doesn't make since here and Whitey doesn't seem to be addressing Davey directly. Edit: 2:32 was obviously supposed to have different lyrics, but I think Davey's expression at 2:34 might've actually been him noticing Whitey teleport rather than him reacting to something Whitey said. That might've been the same reason that Davey fell backwards at 2:45. You could say the same for 2:27, although the audience would have to assume Davey ran upstairs without Whitey for that to work. Which doesn't make sense because "Can I sleep past three?" was directed at Whitey. 2x Edit: They were walking past him at 2:42, never mind.
@@rn.6.7.06 yeah the lyric is actually better now than it was before, it was "How about lighting up a joint? He's not getting the point" I spoke with Scott Petersen a few days ago and he was telling me that there were a ton of re-writes to the movie being done all the time
the shot they ended up going with was still extremely impressive, but given the timeline and budget of the production I am not surprised they changed it to an unmoving shot
these are such reasonable rules 😭
pretty sure that’s the point
@tioraidh-tuxthere's no point to this movie, everything about it is stupid
@@tobiasarevalo9929thats what makes it amazing

You can tell the original lyrics were probably something about him using the railing as a slide being a technical foul
@@gomerjomer9209the original lyrics at that point is actually “How about lighting up a joint?” in which Whitey replies “He’s not getting the point”
watched this movie a week ago and rewatched it just now today. Its honestly great even if I have some gripes about the toilet humor
I remember being a kid watching out. It came out in 2002 when I was 6.
My parents let me watch it 😂 they didn’t care.
change your pfp weeaboo
2:21 the look of sheer horror when he says homicide

Whitey blowing the whistle is so cute tho 😭
@Andischmandi2552 don’t look up the lyrics to what he says around that part.
@ it's too late for that, I already know the details unfortunately LMFAO 😭
@@afternoonsummer what he says around that part????
@@artistaFrustado9000 he uhhhh he states that his groin is hairy 😔
it's eleanor playing the trombone for me lol, she's adorable
3:04 I think we got downgraded here.

Im mad at myself for not watching this on Christmas this year
We need another eight crazy nights
Nine crazy nights
Davey would probably be in his 40s by now
Whitey’s voice sounded like Pinocchio from Shrek.
Who’s Whitney? I only know whitey
I never noticed that
Whitey, not Whitney
How do people assume that his name is either pronounced Whitey or Whitney?
@JaydenTaylor-w7jI don't know what you mean by assume? The character's name is Whitey Duvall
Adam is so witty for some reason.
I watched two different reviews of this movie and some of the shorts on RUclips and never noticed the gigantic feet the siblings have in adulthood.
Might I ask where the story boards can be found?
@Elyzabeth-n3l yeah I got them Steve fonti’s linkedin but if you google them it’ll lead you to his website.
look at the description of the video.
Why are some parts storyboards? Did this not get finished or something? Pig chunks were cut out?
@Mostlyhere2passtime no these are just the storyboards that Steve was responsible for. Other people also worked on the song
Wow
Goofy
It’s so interesting though how the animators are able to change the style to the movie version.
I’m honestly more of a fan of the storyboards style
