Today I am taking you on a thrift shopping spree to the largest thrift store in Los Angeles! I had never been (shocking) before today and it was totally worth the trip! From designer finds to cheap treasures, clothes to furniture and quite literally EVERYTHING in between - here is my very extra thrifting haul :)

Peep the guy at 1:48! Not sure if you caught it in person, but if you did I hope you called him out! I used to be a cocktail server at pools inVegas and would have this happen all the time. I always called them out loudly to shame them and make them delete it immediately. A girl can’t even shop without a man finding a way to violate them. The yellow “dress” was a Vietnamese traditional piece called “ao dai”. You have to wear pants inside with that 🤣 It’s really flattering, it enhances all of your curves ☺️

Thrift stores are absolutely amazing, you never know what your gonna find. Sometimes you walk out with some really iconic things. But ive noticed that the thrift stores started raising their prices, especially if they're designer or name brand. But still fun . Love love love 💕🥰

Thrift store prices has gone up from depop “vintage” resellers creating a demand, creating a need to hike prices at thrift stores.

I think the blame should be on the thrift shops trying to make a profit rather than the depopers. Actually charity shops still have their prices and help the communities they were designed to help, from what I've seen. Goodwill on the otherhand, probably would raise the price either way
They are pricing furniture for $100 plus. I am talking small dusty bamboo jewelry holders. The beds are like $500 in 4 thrift stores near me. It's cheaper to buy some of the stuff new than preowned now.
Let's not even talk about tshirts being $4.99 when brand new ones are at discount retailers for less on clearance

@@yassydney I’m so glad that I am not alone! Personally, it’s okay to adorn yourself in other cultural clothing… just please do research and do it right. It may not hurt those in mainland Asia, but for us Asian-Americans, who lived in discrimination, it matters A LOT.
Well some people might see that and not realize it’s from a culture. Not everyone is out to be disrespectful. I wouldn’t see that and think it’s tied to a culture bc I know nothing about Vietnam or the culture. I know you’re trying to bring awareness and educate but not everyone will know your culture therefore they see it as “just a cute dress”.

Hi amber! The yellow dress you saw with the slit is an "ao dai" which means long dress in vietnamese, it is worn with long pants. Thats why the slits are intense haha

at first I thought the same thing but then I found the brand called St. john knits (I think that's the sweater brand she said) and the sweaters cost like $500-$2000 so who ever bought that sweater probably got a steal.

@@Movemee387 ?, Anyone of any wealth is allowed to shop where they desire, thrift stores were made to make funds for charity through second hand items, They encourage people of all wealth to shop there, they do not care. By shopping there people are not taking away from the least fortunate, thrift stores get restocked every single day. Its not a soup kitchen that feeds homeless people one free meal a day

People are selling fake luxury items for a very high price in flea markets.
