“Nothing is officially done with the Celtics yet but there is interest in getting something done. Would be a cool story for him to get a chance again after suffering such a brutal injury during preseason. Would expect him to try to find a two-way deal somewhere but he may have to show he’s back first physically in the G-League.”
Anton Watson on playing for the Boston Celtics:
“The biggest thing is just being aggressive, finding 3-point shots. That’s a big thing, the Celtics shoot a lot of 3s. Doing that and then kind of finding my role on the team. Whether I play the five or the four or the three, just finding what works for me. So I think Summer League is a good spot to test that out.”

I don't know about Scrubb, but that's a tough injury to come back from. I did see Watson and he looked very good.

2, I think Watson has a bright future but he still needs time to develop and to grow. And I promise he will be a star in the NBA very soon!

The Cs should just keep the summer league roster together in the G League. That way the can have all possible options when it comes to players they could move up from time to time on a 10-day exhibit as most of the summer league players from the Cs, like Tillie, House, Harper, Ramsey and Cook, has the potential to help out the Cs as certain situations arises.
I remember scrubb from last season. He was about to get real mins on the Celtics. He was cooking in the G league hitting like 4 3s per game! Dude is definitely nice, can score easily. Idk about his defense though, but he’s a bucket!

I'd pass on scrubb until he proves himself on another team or in maine. Anton should be on that last 2W then the 15th roster spot should be kept open to minimize taxes/2nd apron impact.
I'd pass on putting any player in that 15th spot thats just going to sit on the bench most nights. This means they are the 12th-15th man. This means unless the new guy is legit better than Pp, sam or tillman breaking into the top 9 of the rotation, i'd pass.
Theres probably just 3 guys left out there that fit that description: tyus jones (dump pp for picks), gordon hayward and luke kennard.
I like jordan nwora, robert covington and aleksej pokusevski but those 3 dont move the needle/are better than sam, pp or tillman.
Watson deserves a spot out of all. He fits very very well, and its crazy how the rookie duo has chemistry already

Celtics let him use their doctors and rehab facilities for free while he wasn’t getting paid. If a team did that for me I’d try my best to help in any way! That’s like 100k worth of treatment for free! That means they believe in Scrubb too! Dude is a bucket from what I seen, lefty shooter with a smooth game and play making!
Their plan for Watson is to eventually try to replace Al.
