I have been a fan for over 30 years. So yes, I am older than most. My opion, You are the best female performer in decades. I could not get tickets when you were in Toronto. Please come back. You are loved here. Besides being a musical talent, you are an insperation to both men and women . You and your band will always be loved in Canada. Come back, please.
Thanks for video. I was at that show. PJ Harvey is one of my top five favorite artists. I am amazed and want to note that the video does not convey even 10% of the emotions that can be received in the hall. Maybe with super quality of video and sound and hi-end equipment you will have 50% (maybe)
By watching in the RUclips the PJ Harvey shows of the 2023-24 tour, I observe that when the band starts to play the first song of the setlist produced between 1992 and 2004, some people in the audience celebrate like soccer fans celebrate when their team score a goal. I understand, PJ Harvey songs produced between 1992 and 2004 are wonderful, but... PJ Harvey songs produced between 2007 and 2023 are good too.
The second song tells the tale of the evening - the artist's intent was to perform theatre-esque, and throw in a few harder-edged songs late in the set ... so you either loved it or figured it wasn't what you thought you were getting ... I think a lot of folks felt the latter ..... it's a hard call - an artist should be genuine to who they feel they are; but, on the other hand, fans pay, and good money at that, to see the artist that has been held out to them through the years ...
It's not hard at all actually and why are you talking as if this is recent? Her first stripped back album was all the way back in 2007 with White Chalk.
Before all the fan-peeps jump on me... I just saw Idles and St. Vincent who gave 199% at their respective shows. The difference was stark. PJ looked like her pot gummy just kicked in and she'd rather be watching Netflix. A lot of established artists get too much of a pass. If you don't believe me, go dig up other performances from the same or previous tours (like I've now done). Set aside your fandom for a moment to ask yourself if you think she gave the performance you'd expect, or even the performance she's capable of. I for one felt I'd be better off at home listening to her albums so I could have cut out the aggravating 3 hours traffic on the QEW. I'd bend heaven and earth to see Idles and St. Vincent again. PJ... Not so much now.
I thought it was a fantastic show, PJ was mesmerizing ❤️🔥 Her voice has only improved over time. I was hoping she would surprise us all with her cover of 'Is that all there is?' Love that song and her MV for it
@@davidowle3772 I saw St Vincent two weeks ago and PJ last night (Thursday night 2). Both were excellent but Harvey was better IMO. Her voice tips the scales.
Flawless performance by Dame Harvey. Was there too and had an amazing time. Her stage presence is trully spellbinding
I loved the first half of the set the most, the new album is magical in a live setting

I very much appreciated the thought and effort PJ put into her approach for this live event promoting her latest album. Her artistry touched me.
I don't know what you are talking about. PJ has always played roughly half old and new material on her tours going all the way back to the 90s.
Set list??
Happy Birthday Polly
I'm going tonight, should I watch?
Watch it after your show 👍

Dollar, dollar...
It was a very disappointing performance. She phoned it in.

1:02:04 guitar out of tune in a non-artsy fartsy way... She DGAF... For example.

Ok dude. So you’re a professional singer huh? This is obviously bait.
