I'm happy to be your 500'th subscriber. Keep up the good work. I live and bikepacking/touring here in Florida but originally I'm from Estonia. Great ride. 👍
Hi Lucy - inspired by your vids. Was wondering how you travel around with the bike when you’re taking a flight or train. Hoping to do some solo bike packing this summer
Hello! I haven’t taken a flight when touring… but trains are quite straight forward. In Europe most trains are very bike friendly. Some journeys you might have to book it on. Happy to answer any other questions!
Lovely video. Just seen this for the first time and have subscribed. Do you think it’s best to venture solo? I think I’d miss company after a few days!
I’m curious to know what tent you use? Weight? I assume you would be using a very lightweight sleeping bag too for the warmer months of the year ? Thanks.
Hello! I have just seen this... I have an Alpkit Soloist tent which only weights just over 1kg. Yes summer sleeping bag... which was all fine until the temperature dropped right down when I was in Luxembourg (video is on here!) ... soooo cold! But otherwise I was fine :) Thanks for the questions I always really enjoy them!
@@Sturgecycling No Lucy, ebikes are cheating 😁 When I am old and decrepit I will happily have an ebike. I have ridden a few and they are great fun, especially the e-mountain bike I rode at Sherwood Pines. It made it more enjoyable because it took the edge off the effort of climbing on the rough terrain. 🚲
@@chrisgreen8916 i disagree.. they definitely are not cheating and very good for many people, my preference still to pedal unassisted though (mostly… at times have questioned this! 😂😝)
I've just subbed to your channel just now. I like this video a lot. I've cycled since I was young but it was youtube that introduced me to bikepacking! I really need to know if you think its better to take your own bike around Europe or hire one out?
I prefer to ride my own bike... then I know the set up, it fits me and im more comfortable. Its very hard to get your bike just right and if you are riding many back to back days you need to be comfortable. I have hired a bike before, but only for really short trips. Thanks for the question, I really enjoy them!
Loved this video. Just watched Austria and now watching your coast to coast. They’re interesting and great to watch.
Ah thank you so much!
The UK should take note. You’re a joy to watch. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Oh thank you so much!
So glad you enjoyed your time here in NL, and what a wonderful cycle tour! What's next?
Your video of your journey is beautiful, thank you for sharing ☺️
Thank you so much! The next episodes are all up now from my euro cycling trip!

Great video - something like this is on my list now that one of my daughters lives in Spain (I'm in the US). Thanks for sharing. Safe travels Lucy!
I fancy riding across the US too! So many places to visit! Enjoy ❤

Amazing adventure 🤩
Thanks so much :£

Only the tourist wear helmets… 😂 when in Rome do like the Romans
Ha ha!! I feel too odd without my helmet!! 😂😂
@@Sturgecycling remember the Dutch never use helmets unless they are forced to while riding the higher speed e-bikes.
