    Hi prakash,
    I own an MG Astor 1.5 CVT savvy and have observed a difference between tyre pressures between the MG iSmart App and on the display of the car.
    For example, on the car's display i was able to see 30.7 psi but in the app it was displaying 31.3 psi.
    Have you also observed this difference so far ?

    • @prakashparadisee
      @prakashparadisee  2 года назад +3

      I can explain you the senario in which this difference may occur!!
      Your Car TPMS Sensor has updated itself with new reading but your App has not updated itself!
      I has happened with me too!
      The best way to check the PSI is by driving the car for 200meters and check the psi on the Display!!

Highway run will be like 1 per quarter. I am planning to go with 1.5 CVT Sharp. Now i am confused whether I should upgrade to CVT Savvy for ADAS? What is the FE that the MID shows in city traffic and highways with ACC enabled? Given that the RPM is more than normal level as you have shown in the video, I am assuming it would be lesser than 10 kmpl in city traffic

      Frankly speaking it's hard for me to drive the vehicle with acc in traffic because here in Lucknow cross traffic is a major problem and then Astor will get confused a lot!
      I can tell you that on highways the mileage difference is about 1.5 kilometres!
      On a smooth self drive the car which is giving 17 on mid will give 15.5
      Hope this helps

      Frankly speaking my Honda amaze AT gives similar mileage in city so somehow i find it ok.
      The improvement of mileage will happen only after 10000kms as that's the time when oil is changed!

      Indian roads with less traffic is suitable for ADAS!
      I use acc on expressway and felt no issue!
      2) auto headlamp does work well but in India you need to put the light on high beam!
      3) there have been cases where emergency braking did start working quicker than my reaction when something was very close by!
      4) lane keep assist is good but unlike XUV 700 it even tries to make little improvements which makes the overall experience rough
      6) speed assist system is excellent thing for people going with drivers !

    why not to use adaptive cruise control in rain??? I think that's the time it's most needed when you can't see roads by your eyes.
    It detects car by radar, not by cameras.
    So visibility has no effect on it.
    Please do not say things like that without knowing the physics. 🙄

    • @prakashparadisee
      @prakashparadisee  2 года назад

      It depends on the rain intensity and how well the system has been developed
      I haven't faced extreme rain till now
      Will definitely check that out
      Completely agree with you!
      In rainy condition it will be very useful!
      Also make sure you don't drive too fast because ACC do not recognise stand still objects!
      No doubt we have emergency braking but that doesn't mean we will risk our lives!

    • @subhodeep2012
      @subhodeep2012 2 года назад

      @@prakashparadisee I doubt that.
      Normally car radar uses laser to detect proximity of the reflection object.
      If it has got reflection back pretty soon it will apply break. It doesn't matter the blockage is moving or stationary.
      It can't work if a car comes in front of you by changing lane suddenly. But also in manual you can't save collision too.
      But yeah we should only use it below 90 kmph.

  • @abby549
    @abby549 2 года назад +2

    You missed another drawback... It doesn't detect stationary objects/cars. Nearly escaped mishaps twice.

    • @prakashparadisee
      @prakashparadisee  2 года назад +1

      You are absolutely right!
      This car doesn't de accelerate on seeing a stationary object!
      I believe in such a case , in the end the car would do emergency braking!
      Isn't it?
