I'm at the stage where I'm feeling pretty good that I can play the melody to this tune in a couple different positions in the key of D, bluegrass style. I'm also trying to learn to walk a bit, so hearing Ray Brown's version of this is just great. I didn't' know he did this tune. You're playing is great and you're clearly having a great time! Inspiring stuff.
Sean, "Jesus Christ" is just wrong about the sound quality! What I'm hearing is a great transcription of Ray and his one of a kind sound, feel and swing. You capture him perfectly! Could you reveal the strings and bass you used? Bravo you killed it!
Thank you @scottrosenthal3437 ! I greatly appreciate your support! I hope to be making new videos as soon as I recover from an injury that I have been rehabbing for the past year. The bass is a 1950's Mittenwald plywood, its a wonderful instrument and I am blessed to play it. At the time of this recording I believe I was using the Piarstro Passione strings. Thanks again! I would be happy to talk more about set up, strings and gear if you and others would like to hear. Blessings!
Thank you! I'm going to work on a way of sharing my PDFs here in the future. If you are interested in getting in sooner though it may be quicker to grab in from the video itself.
Thanks for checking out my video. I’m working on improving the quality of my videos as I develop my channel. It’s difficult to get it dialed in just right when playing to the original recording, but if you could give more detail into what you find distasteful in the sound quality I would love to take that into account on my future work. Thank you!
@@SeanRzewnicki Nice playing. i'd probably just roll back the bass frequencies on you bass track but otherwise the sound quality was fine! TimBrown5000 is a troll/jerk, don't pay him much attention. he comments on many bass videos complaining of sound quality. e.g. ruclips.net/video/UrjoKSwt4iU/видео.html
Thank you. Top notch!

Thank Brian! It’s a great tune and you can’t get a better source for learning that from Ray! I’ll look forward to hearing your Bluegrass version!
Thank you @Jared Plane for the great comment! Sadly I deleted it by mistake😢

Thank You!
In measures 3 and 7 there is an error. Bring the note closer to the major third, not the minor third.
Be great if you could provide the pdf

Much appreciated! I'll keep that in mind in my future videos.
There’s a lot of jerks on RUclips, just smile and ignore!
